"O-one million!?" Damn. It was no wonder why the whole galaxy was visible from that distance. Closer it would look like lots of white spots in the sky.

One million light-years... About 620,000 miles away. If she had a car that ran at the speed of light, it'd take her one million years to return home. Amazing. Horrifically amazing.

If she was outside the galaxy, would not that mean that the galaxy sister of The Milky Way, one of the very few extra-galactic objects observable with the naked eye from the earth, would be...?

She looked up. Another vast concentration of blue arms of dust, gas, and infinite streams of stars swirled around a golden oval of dazzling light, doubling the already gigantic Milky Way in size.

"...Andromeda!" She spotted another spiral, concentration of stellar dust and light, near the vigorous Andromeda.
