Chapter 1 - Prologue

Qualcien City-Halmian Empire

"Come back here scoundrel!!" a man's voice echoes throughout the busy street, not far ahead a figure swiftly effortlessly dodged passerbys and crates as if it was nothing at all, a small giggle followed by a huff escaped from this figures mouth "catch me if you can old man!" he exclaimed as he took a left on a right alley, clearly not speeding down. The man chasing him was already nearing exhaustion and once the figure turned to the alley he lost right of him because of the crowd, with great anger all he could do was still on the ground and sluggishly head back to his stall "ungrateful brat! how in the world did the great Alsteds even raised that prick!" the man said with a scorn in his face.

Finally free from the Chase, the figure slowly shifted on the trees outside the city walls, a fine young man sat on the branches almost seemingly like a panther that just finished it's lonely hunt, his left leg hanging and seating from the tree. As the wind blew sunlight danced aroud his figure, he had a tan complexion, eyes like chestnuts gleaming with emerald irises, his dark brown hair flowed along with the breeze. Quite a scene to behold only if he wasn't smiling with a devilish intent while stating at an Apple. "stealing? again??" a voice approached the young man from behind the tree. Curious, he looked at the source and saw another man, much older and refined with an appearance almost the same as his, he smiled and greeted the man "Hello Father" as he bounced down from the branch and did a graceful bow. The man patted his shoulders and he stood straight them leaned his let hand into the tree and his right hand tossing the Apple up in the air.

the man spoke "Jian, how many times have I told you not to steal?"

"it's not like old man Balder would get heartbroken with it, I've done this for like years already" Jian replied, his father just shook his head and walked past him heading to the city's entrance, Jian followed closely while still tossing the Apple, "all the ruckus for an Apple?" his father asked, "father it's not just an Apple, it's THE Apple I stole" emphasizing the word "I" as he proudly pat his chest. His father didn't reply and just gave out a gentle chuckle, the two kept walking and they finally were at the very stall where Jian stole the apple. The old man guarding the stall sighed in relief after seeing Jian's father but suddenly turned into a grown after seeing Jian grinning widely with his Apple on hand. Jian's father bowed to the old man and handed over jade coins equal to the amount of the apple his son took.

"I apologize for the ruckus once more Balder" Jian's father said with a stern and apologizing tone, Jian just let out a snicker while his eyes were busy looking for another target to steal "Jian" the stern voice echoes on his ear and Jian automatically bows and apologizes to the stall owner as well.

The two were heading home and they walked along the street and into a huge pages going park with a statue of a swordsman in the middle of the park. Jian who was now munching on the Apple stated at his father's sword sheathed on his waist and his eyes wandered aroun the armor he was wearing as well, made from the finest silk and woven with magically imbued threads, it shone in a luminescent dark purple color as it gets hit with sunlight. Still munching he went on his father's right side and started to chat with his mouth still munching off the fruit "Father.. do I really need to wait two more years before I get to hunt? I want to wear those silky armors and hold those fancy swords like you do". His father smiled and replied "it's not easy being a Hunter Jian, you must learn dignity and respect first" he stated.

Just then Jian's father stopped on his track, they were already on another street filled with people, confused, Jian stated at his father. He was looking around in a vigilant way, as if he sensed a beast around the street, Jian stood there looking at where his father was staring trying to examine as well. "something wrong?" he asked. Suddenly Jian felt a cold metal object behind his back straight to his chest as he was trying to process what the cold object was a shadowed figure ran away almost in a speed of a chariot, "JIAN!!" his father exclaimed in a panicked tone, Jian stared at him almost wanting to ask whats wrong when he suddenly gagged out a puddle of blood, his body suddenly felt weak and his legs failed to support him, then Jian realized---

He was stabbed. Straight to his chest.

His vision started to blur and all he could see and hear was a commotion getting louder and his fathers shouts of utter distress.

Darkness enveloped him.

Heavenly Realm

"he has met his death" a small voice echoed

"Jian Alsted..." another voice echoed this time a bit mature

"the nuisance who destroyed 10 heavenly seals and unkowingly woke up vicious monsters and spirits alike?" a female voice asked

"yes that kid! such a nuisance, just because of his family stature he thinks he's equal to that of a god" a male voice said in an annoyed manner

"good riddance! now who did the gods pick to solve this problem? it may not be felt now but after 10 years or so the monsters will undoubtedly wreck havoc.." a stern yet sluggish voice echoed once more

the voices were then brought to silence, as if wondering who will fix the problems the nuisance did

"I heard that the Goddess of Destiny had already chose a hero!" a child's voice exclaimed

"she did? who?" the other voices asked in unison with a very curious tone

Silence---

then another female's voice echoed, this time her voice was and ethereal and soft "HE will fix HIS faults" she said

"he?! but..." protested the male voice

"Do not worry, although I cannot entirely write a beings whole Destiny from start to finish, I trust that this one will not fail the heavenly realm's expectation" the ethereal voice spoke.

"mhmnn" the other voices said in unison, as if making a nod.
