"If you want to know, then I'll tell you."
"You don't have to if it's too hard-"
"No." A sigh interrupted. "It's fine, it's best you know my life before all this horrible stuff happened.."
"You just want to tell someone, don't you?"
"..Yes. If I don't make it through this, at least you'll know my reasons for the stuff I did."
"I understand...as long as I can share my own stories."
"I'll listen to whatever you tell me, don't worry."
"Okay. So what are you going to tell me first?"
"I'm going to tell you about the day I met the man that changed my life forever."

Welcome to Darkened Dawn.
A small and hidden town where very little of the world knew where it was and a haven for those that needed to hide. The ones that usually hid were rejected by their families, had supernatural powers and needed a safe place to control them, or didn't look human and couldn't walk freely in towns where looking even a little unhuman could get you killed. This small but wonderful town full of supernatural was perfect for a certain girl, who had been rejected by her family, to go.
Angel S. Wolfen
A young girl with semi-curly dark brown hair that was cut unevenly to her shoulders, gently tanned yet still pale skin, and bright crystal-like blue eyes that shone with kindness and were hidden behind glasses when she needed to read. Freckles dotted her cheeks and along her nose, a soft hue of red brushed on underneath as well. She is part wolf, the reason she had to be in the hidden town, and has wolf ears, a long and fluffy black tail connected to her tailbone, and two wings that had a wingspan of eleven feet. She was unique being the only winged wolf in town, but it made her feel more like an outcast than she already felt. The town, having friendly people, wanted her to feel like she fit in because in the town of Darkened Dawn everyone was accepted and treated like family, no matter who or what they are. With this, she was allowed freedom and it was all she wanted. The town was now her new family and she knew from the start that they'd protect her at every turn she took. Angel could live her life peacefully and she did for a few months, nothing went wrong, no one bothered her, and she settled into her new life. It was all she ever hoped for, well..almost.
However, one day everything changed. Angel bumped into someone that changed her life as she changed theirs, she just didn't realize how big that change was going to be at the time it happened.
The day she met this person was the day she made the greatest choice of her life.

Wednesday, 10:01 pm. 1994, on the 2nd of March. Earth.
Almost four months, that's how long Angel had been in Darkened Dawn and she could genuinely say that it's been the best three months and however many days of her life. Safety was a big part of why it's been the best, she could relax without worrying if anything was going to hurt her and she had never felt happier because of this. Of course, settling into a new place had minor bumps that she had to work over, but with the town as her new family, she didn't dread going over the bumps at all. She had the help she could count on and that mattered most. She was reminded of this when her boss and mother figure, Tina, had thrown her a late birthday party, everyone in town had filled the diner she worked at and celebrated even though no one knew how old Angel was, they just wanted her to know that she was important to the town. Angel didn't celebrate her birthday but appreciated that they put in the time to do it for her, and she figured she'll most likely need to get used to celebrating what she normally wouldn't. She also figured out that parties can cause happiness, and..tiredness. A lot of tiredness.
Walking down the street from Tina's diner that led to her home, Angel sighed. Her feet were killing her and her arms were feeling heavy from the burden of carrying three full boxes and bags hanging off her arms. The click of her high heels echoing, in the otherwise quiet air, reminded her of the source of the pain and made her want to get home sooner to get the pain making shoes off. The Diner, like it was said before, had been packed with the whole town to celebrate Angel's birthday, something she didn't do. For most of her past birthdays, she spent them by being alone and she had done that on the day of her actual birthday two weeks before this. Still, she appreciated the thought and time put into this two-week late party Tina had done. She just wished she was given a day off instead of being stuck in her mandatory uniform all day. The short-sleeved button-up, ruffly knee-length white skirt, and black blouse wasn't exactly party wear but, at least she could be grateful for being able to choose stockings, leggings, or footed pants with the uniform, that stuff was comfortable. The uniform itself just wasn't too comfortable, especially the high heels. The heels made walking home nearly a nightmare that Angel barely manages to get through each night, but the pain was worth being able to live in the house she has. Speaking of her house, Angel felt an unbelievable feeling of relief when her home came into sight, her arms and feet were ready for a rest and she couldn't wait to give in to their wishes. The idea of getting inside the home and simply getting the uniform off was so pleasing, it made her quicken her walking pace.
The house Angel had been given was a decent two-story with enough space for a medium-sized family of six, maybe even eight if things were placed just right in the four bedrooms it had. Angel only needed one bedroom though, so the other rooms got used for storage for whatever she decided to throw in there and at the moment for two rooms it happened to just be a bunch of boxes full of clothes and many other items, the last room had been turned into a laundry room. Angel sighed, stopping and looking up at the house while allowing her legs to get a small rest from the walk before she walked across the gravel that led to the brown front door of the reddish-brown house. She shifted the boxes in her arms over to her hand, putting her waitress skill of balancing things in action as she managed to keep it in her hand and against a nearby wall. She bit her lip, her hand free digging through her skirt pocket for a frustrating few seconds before she got her keys out, then another small struggle happened with her fingers fumbling with the few keys she had before finally getting a hold of the house key. She slid the key hastily into the keyhole and turned it with a click, right as she felt the boxes start to tip out of her hand. She got her keys back into her pocket and shoved the door open right before she caught the boxes and got them back into her arms. She sighed, mentally congratulating herself for the small accomplishment, and being thankful the boxes didn't hit the ground and possibly break what could be fragile inside of them. She walked into the house, gently kicking the door shut once she was in before she let her exhausted body rest back on the door, getting a little bit of energy back to use to get upstairs. She let her tired eyes travel over the living room, just to see if anything was out of place and to calm a feeling of anxiety she had whenever she came home of if anyone had broken in. The living room wasn't too big but it could be enough for a medium family, it was perfect for Angel. The whole bottom floor of the house had dark brown walls, not the same color as the front door or exterior of the house but somewhere in the middle of the two colors, the floor of the living room was a dark blue carpet with light blue spiral designs on it and the three windows in the room, one right next to the door and the other two on the opposite wall, had dark curtains that made it so no one could see inside. A big tv stand bookshelf was set against the only wall without windows with a decent sized Tv in it and a few books that Angel had yet to read on the shelves, along with some pictures that were taken of Angel and the few friends she had made in town. Most of the pictures had Tina and her family in them, then some had a woman named Wolfhow and her daughter Kaitlyn standing with Angel. Seeing those pictures normally made Angel smile, remembering how it's only been a few months of being in town but she's befriended so many people already. The smile didn't come this time, she was too tired for that. In front of the tv stand bookshelf was a blue couch that was soft enough to take a good nap on and a light brown plush recliner next to it, a coffee table was set in front of both with a couple of books Angel was reading in her free time and a stack of puzzles she has been wanting to do but hasn't gotten to yet.
Once seeing nothing was wrong and checking off a few things in a mental list, she kicked herself off the front door and made a sharp turn left to go into the dining room. The dining room held a large table, one Angel didn't really need cause it could hold a big family and she never used it, the room also had three windows that were currently casting dim moonlight over the brown wooden table through thin black curtains. The floor was hardwood, the same as the kitchen but a rug was under the table and the six chairs pushed under it. Angel set the boxes on the table and the bags went right next to them, she sighed in relief with the weight of everything off her arms. She planned to go through all she had gotten from everyone tomorrow or sometime soon, but right now she needed to sleep. She turned and walked back to the living room, going to the front door and locking it before making sure the door didn't open. She turned and tossed her keys over the couch, hoping to land them onto the coffee table. She silently cursed when they missed the coffee table by only an inch and hit the floor instead, an instant frustration of having to go pick them up was felt but she sighed and ignored it. She was too exhausted to walk the extra feet at the moment and simply headed upstairs.
Once she got upstairs, she walked down a hallway with a floor of dark brown carpet and brown walls like the downstairs had, doors lined the walls. The right wall had only one door right next to the stairs, the left wall had three doors and at the end of the hallway was one more door. The single door on the right led to her bedroom, the first two doors on the left were also bedrooms but Angel used them to store boxes at the moment, the last door was the laundry room and the door at the end of the hall was just a bathroom. Angel didn't bother checking the other rooms, nothing would be there if she did and she wasn't wasting energy for it, she went right to her bedroom. Her bedroom was her safe spot, a place to relax after a hard day like today. The room had a soft red carpet and the walls were dark red. A queen-sized bed was pushed to the middle of the wall parallel with the door and a thick black blanket was neatly set onto the bed. Another door to her left lead to the master bathroom and along the wall next to the door was her dressers and vanity with a wide mirror, she usually hanged her work clothes on it for the next day. The opposite wall had windows covered by more black curtains but these weren't thin or see-through, no one could see in when they were closed, and behind her bed was another window with the same type of curtain. Angel walked over to the bed and let herself fall face-first onto the softness of the thick blanket and bed. She could finally rest and she was very happy about it. Angel lazily slid her hands underneath of herself and unbuttoned her blouse, soon taking it off and tossing it somewhere to be dealt with later. Then came off her skirt, a small struggle happening because of her legs not wanting to work properly and then her button-up was off as well, both pieces of clothing being thrown to wherever the blouse went. She was too tired to take off her stockings or undergarments, only getting up to move the blanket and slide herself into the cozy bed. She threw the blanket back over herself, sighing with content as warmth embraced her and lulled her into a sleep she had wished for since she left work. She slowly wrapped her arms around one of the many pillows on her bed while she was drifted away very easily into a drowsy state and as soon as she had laid her head down on the pillow, she was asleep.
