Chapter 28 - Johnson Acker's 1st Day Cultivation; AZ-Class Beast

They kept moving westward but it seemed like the beast had caught one of their scents, marking them as its prey. Matthew knew exactly that it was following due the the presence it was carrying. An AZ-Class Beast wasn't a joke even for Matt. He knew that if he leads the group into danger, it would be too risky. Risky to the point that their lives are in stake. But no matter... The beast had gotten one of their scents and is now following them. No matter how deep they go to west, they still can't lose the beast. Matthew was alert and so he immediately made a plan.

"Everyone. There's an AZ-Class Beast following us." blurted out of the blue.

Everyone stopped at their marks and looked at Matt. They all looked flustered, trying to scan a hint of lie around the face of Matt.

"Are you serious!?" April whispered.

"It got one of our scents. It's following one of us. Don't worry everyone. I have my plan set up." Matthew reassured them.

They all nodded in response. Luciel didn't even think negatively on what will happen, Alexander was confident with himself, Emilia trusted Matthew, and April was scared as heck.

Matthew started planning and giving them instructions while the others listen. Luciel will be the tank, he'll hold of the beast and protect the rest of us. Emilia should prepare her sakura leaves for strong penetration, she was the extra damage dealer. Alexander will launch his sneak attack with the help of the trees, he is the major damage dealer. Matt will be the range damage dealer, meanwhile April will hide inside a bush and prepare to imprison the beast with her abilities.

"I'll summon Threat If I have too. Phronyx is inside of you April and the rest, I got your back." Matt lastly said.

They all positioned themselves in their places. Alexander was on top of the tree behind Matt. Matt summoned his scroll and took out the bow. Emilia was already behind Luciel summoning her leaves, Luciel summoned his big spear. April was beside Luciel inside a bush. They all were ready when they heard the strong rustling of bushes on the east.

It sounded as if a big beast was coming towards them. Matthew activated his energy control and saw the beast. It was twice as big as Threat's normal size. It was a reindeer creature. No animosity but it still carried on on walking towards them.

"Prepare. It's coming."

A moment... The trees departed from each other and gave space where the beast walked. April froze at the sight. It was a beautiful creature and each step it took summons a aurora. April stood up and unknowingly, she started walking towards the creature.

"APRIL! STEP BEHIND!" Shouted Matthew.

April didn't reply at his brother and continued to walk.

Matthew took his pose and readied his arrows. He prepared one arrow and pulled the string. He aimed at the creature... the guy let go of the string and the arrow set flying towards the creature.

Just a split second when the arrow was just in front of the head the reindeer, it stopped, midair. The arrow floated which surprised Matthew. He could've sworn that the Bow was Mythical but once the arrow went flying, Matthew felt no mythical energy in the arrow. It was normal. What shocked him most was that if it was non-mythical. Why did it stop?

"This bow isn't Mythical!" Matthew shouted alerting the rest to attack.

'Luciel's special technique' Matthew heard the mind of Luciel. 'Shadow Spear'

A shadow moved on the ground towards the creature. Matthew saw the spear but was invisible to everyone else. Matthew noticed that the creature was aware of it unlike the rest though and was also aware of Alexander being behind it but showed no animosity.

It stopped the attacks.

"Stop." Matthew commanded. Each of them at shock, stopped. "I've read this creature's legend. Aurora Spier. The Spirit Animal Aurora... It isn't hostile. It's strong and you can barely see it around..." Matthew explained.

April was in front of it. She motioned to hold the creature, the creature acted not and had let April touched it. As soon as April finger touched the creature, it immediately started to burst. It was as if a bright light appeared but were auroras... April started floating and the aurora surrounding her started to enter her body. Phronyx appeared out of no where.

"Something came in... Something so strong, stronger than Threat..." Phronyx said, a hint of worry was heard... the Phoenyx turned himself into a human.

"It's fine, that thing wasn't just a thing... it was April's destined spirit mythical beast." Matthew sighed. "When she finishes her hibernation, she'll be strong. Luciel, Emilia, and Alexander combined power kind of strong, she'll be stronger than any of you or even Threat. Let's keep moving."

"Wait! We're going to leave her here?!" Luciel asks.

"Yes-"

"No! I'm gonna stay." Luciel argued.

"Do what I say. April will be safe in the hands of Spier." Matthew told Luciel.

Luciel refuse to budge and didn't listen to Matthew. "Phoerix. Control his body and drag it." Matthew called out to Phoerix who was inside the body of Luciel. Luciel started to move on his own he felt flustered on what was happening.

"Fine! Fine!" He says and his body stops.

Matthew started walking and the three followed. Matthew thought of what happened with the bow. He was more into what happened in the bow than his sister. He examined the bow and started shooting randomly. Each shot was no good. They all were no mythical energy. There were no magic into it making him more confuse.

"Why aren't you working!-"

"It's because that arrow was someone very known." Emilia blurted.

"Really? Who?"

"The Enchantress. She was something special. A very unique person who belonged with the main family. She was able to combine her skills into her arrows, making each shot strong." Emilia explained.

"Are we just gotta ignore the fact that we left the princess-"

"I told you Luciel, she'll be fine." Matthew cuts Luciel off.

Luciel avoided contact immediately and frowned.

'Enchantress.. Skills... into her arrows... do we have to combine it with the magic I know?'

Matthew prepared his arrow and readied a shot. "Caribbean Sea." He let go of the string and arrow... the arrow was still normal.

"You're doing it all wrong." Emilia said.

"How?!" Matthew asked in disbelief.

"You aren't supposed to use an arrow. The arrow is your spell. Give it to me, let me try."

Emilia took the bow. Matthew frowned because he didn't understand at all and just watched Emilia.

"Watch." Emilia took a deep breath, "Sakura Leaves Penetration." The Bow's style became a sakura design. It looked like the branch of a Sakura Tree. It glowed and the string glowed pink. Emilia pulled the string slowly. Each second, it formed an arrow, Emilia let go of the string. The arrow bursted, making a strong explosion with sakura leaves. The Sakura leaves scattered mid air and destroyed the trees that Emilia aimed at. But she dropped.

"As expected... it drains oneself easily..."

"Heal." Matthew motioned his hand towards Emilia. His magic circle appeared and Emilia vibrated with light.

"Thank you..." Emilia said.

"No problem. Thank you for that." Emilia handed over the bow to Matthew.

Matthew examined the bow. "Caribbean Sea." The bow turned into an ocean style kind of bow. It glowed vibrantly. The light was so bright it blinded Alexander and Emilia. Matthew pulled the string and let it go. Just an instant.... everything in front of him was destroyed with a big ocean attack.... as if a tsunami passed by the forest, it was destroyed an instant.

"You're attracting beasts..." Luciel pointed out while facepalming.

"Oh your right!" Matthew laughed.

"It's night time." Alexander said.

"Yet again. Right." Matthew laughed harder.

"Let's camp out of the night. We'll stay inside the forest for 10 days." Matthew said wiping his eyes.

The rest laughed and nodded. They all started to do what they needed to do and prepared shelter.
