ACE'S POV
"Aaah, It hurts ." I react as my mom puts a bandage on my forehead.
"How could you let a girl hit you?" My mom asks, frowning at me.
"It just happened, the Situation was irresistible," I respond.
"Even so!" My mom yells at once.
"MOM!!!" I calm her down. I am totally alright. Don't make this a big deal."
"How can I not make this a big deal? She directly hit on your forehead, You know, right? I have no-one in this world except for you." She hugs me and says joylessly. "Promise me, You will never get involved with her."
I can never upset my mom. Not on my nelly. As a consequence, I devote myself to my mom. "Alright alright, I promise." She is relieved now that I have promised her something I am not sure if I'll keep. Although I'll try my best. Anna Garcia is crazy, she is not someone we can easily avoid.
"Be careful. Goodnight ." Mom says, locking my door and looking at me through a half-closed door. I smile at her. She closes the door completely after she turns off the light of my room. I crawl out of my head and set the light back. I grab my bag, unpack it, and pull out the journal of that strange girl who I got badly hurt by. "Anna Garcia, You are." I read the journal. There is not a single thing to look at but some photos of dark places and people with no faces. The first page has a woman pulling out the hair of a female child. "Illustration with meanings?" I hum as I concentrate deeply on the drawing.
I notice some words written in the illustration with black ink. It is written in a way as if the writer doesn't want anyone to look through the words and be aware of the meaning. After digging through her mysterious journal, I put it down in the night table.
Windows are unlocked and wide open. I am getting chills on my body through streaming wintry wind. I am glancing out of the window and the frosty wind is blowing in every nook and cranny. I, in some way, get the desire of breaking out which I land up doing. I do what my inner self tells me to. So there is definitely no doubt. I am now on the move to get outside and feel more chills on my bones. I unlock my door quietly. I hold my shoes in my hands and escape out of my house noiselessly. I prayed internally, hoping no one notices my sudden midnight vanishment.
I finally reach after having a short uphill struggle. I put on my shoes. I run to the park which my mom bought for me. Ever since we moved here, I have been having an intense obsession with this park. I just cannot hold back but look at how this park had been constructed. So Friendly and Enjoyable. The trees around the park are just so alluring. Just when I step my foot a little closer to the park, I froze. It sounds crazy but I catch a glimpse of anna. I stand frozen for a second, figuring out why in the earth she is here for in the middle of the night?
She is standing still. No-one can puzzle out what she is doing at this time. I have no intention to bump into her. Considering that we are fated to come up against each other again. I'll have to look at her. I pursue a step so as to approach her.
"Enjoying the stars all by yourself?" I ask her, appearing out of nowhere. Obviously I will be someone who came out of nowhere if I appear all of a sudden. At least for her.
She turns around. "I am not that childish." She gives me an expressionless face. She has obsidian—black, shiny, and impenetrable eyes. It gives no sign. A saying goes like "EYES TELL EVERYTHING." But her eyes, I can't wade through it. Everything about her is so odd, mysterious, and bizarre.
