ANNA'S POV
2 weeks later
I am dressed up in a chalky mid-length dress. My hair is untied and is fluttering in the wind. I am glancing out the window, watching the tree being beaten endlessly and uninterruptedly by the waves. I wouldn't be seated here if I had my journal at this point. I am cudgeling my memory about that guy right now. Everything reminds me of my journal which leads to my brain brood over him.
"Are you dead?" I vocalize in a low timbre. I tousle my hair in a gentle way. I lay a strand of my hair at the back of my ear.
"Is he alive?" I ask the tide of the strong wind. "Is it my fault?"
"I gave him a foreboding, didn't I? " I simper. " I told him that I am a witch through my bitchy gaze.
I leer my eyes on my palm. "Why are you so cruel to me? Please, Let me live." I plead at a guess there's something controlling me.
I have been doing nothing but shuttling back and forth between school and home. I have spotted him nowhere. I am not anxious or bothered by the fact he might be dead but I still remember how strongly with all my strength I held his scruff. But the school would have mourned for him. "He is alive." I rub my chin using fingertips of my right hand.
On the spur of the moment, I am in a chalk-white gown. I am wandering around in a dark place yet beautiful and charming as a picture. I make an effort to speak. It creates the impression of being dispense from speaking. I spot him. I spot that guy. I am racking my brain to remember his name. I try to recollect his name. He is walking in his everyday outfit. I am capable of enunciating after some time.
"He--yyy.! Hey." I am struggling to lift out words from my mouth. The words are trapped. I can't reach him. We are both separated by a huge wall. It feels like I am in a different world right now. "HEY!" I shout from the top of my lungs triple times. He does turn around but pretends like he saw no-one.
"It's me," I demand attention from him, lifting my shoulders up.
I startle and open my eyes briskly. I am back to where I was. I am back in my room. I got out from under the bizarre circumstance.
"What the f*ck just happened with me? Have I started seeing things now? Was I hallucinating?" I scream. I remember that place. I have no doubt about that place I was just standing in, being the locale where her grave was dug. I am certain about that place being the only area where she was buried. Her grave is around there somewhere. I explore through my bag for my cellphone. I take it out as soon as I find it, I scroll through contacts on my phone. I call the office of my high school where information about students is stored.
"Hello?"
"Hello, Can you give me his number?"
"Sorry?"
"His name is something like uh-- son.. an. Anderson. I am sure his last name is Anderson."
"We are sorry. We can't handle away personal information. It is against the concerned authority."
"This is the life-death situation going on here."
"We're sorry."
" Ms. Liana?"
"Uh..yes?"
"Was it fun making out with--" I blackmail her with the evidence I have deposited in my eyes.
"Wait up, I will give you the number."
"Make it quick."
"Is it Ace..?"
"Yes." I rattle off.
"1202-555-0086"
After I am done noting the number. I hang up the phone straight away. I check if he has his location turned on. It would be nice to talk in person than having a stupid phone-conversation. I guess Today is the day when my luck finally shows up on my door and shines. Fortunately, He has his location turned on. I hold a homemade master's degree in finding someone's location via anything.
I hurriedly put on my brown mid-length coat and speed out my car to his whereabouts. I am exceeding the speed limit. The faster, The better. As I am navigating the car's steering, I look onto the location tracker. I steer the car to the shortcut because that's the place he was strolling in when I saw him in my hallucination or whatsoever.
"So, I ain't the only one who knows about that beeline."
I make it to the place. The place that brings nightmare and goosebumps. Cemetery for others. Witch's castle for me. I pop my foot on the brake and impose my car to stop all at once. I slightly shift forward. I step out of the car. I take a shufti around while I am at it.
I wend my way towards the soccer field. After an hour of sauntering on stones and chucking away the leaves, I finally end up at the destination. I locate ace playing soccer with others. He is wearing his jersey in blue, the color of the sea and sky. He bears resemblance to a picture of endless oceans in the eyes. His hair is all messy and somewhat downwards. I have my arms crossed at this point. I am glimpsing at him so intensely. I'm not gonna lie, he looks like a whole snack.
"What's wrong with me, suddenly?" I knead my head and transpose my eyes down.
I realize that he seems merry playing the ball.
"Fine, I'll wait until the match is over." I fake my smile.
The match is finally over. It's funny how I paid attention to the game the whole time. Ace's team won by a score of 4 - 2. I step out of the bleachers. Just when I am about to stroll towards ace, Bunch of girls runs, bumping and pushing me out of the way. I gaze at them with insanity and madness. I storm out of the bleachers to approach the girls.
I lay eyes on those thick as two planks. I notice, Girls couldn't care less about ace. They ran off, making it look and sound like it's a do or die situation. Ace is surrounded by a lot of girls asking him to accept love, gifts, and mostly water bottles. Wow. He does attract girls.
Everything is bizarre today.
