No way! No wayyyyy!
Why do I have to see the villain again?! I just saw him a few days ago!
Wait...
Breathe deeply and slowly Delie...
Calm down...
That's right, I just need to act like I didn't throw my shoes on purpose! Haha...
But for now-
What?!
I turned around to peek behind the pillar and saw that the villain is gone.
"Where did he go...?"
I whispered to myself.
But it's still good, right? Since he is gone and I don't need to apologize to him for throwing my shoes in his head! I don't know how I'll take back my shoes from him though.
Oh, well! Atleast he is gone!
I rested my back at the pillar and sighed happily before closing my eyes.
"Is this yours?"
My eyes opened instantly when I heard a deep voice beside me. My shoe is right beside my face dangling from someone's manly hand.
I slowly looked up and saw him looking down at me displeased.
"Well...?"
I gulped.
It's the villain!
I quickly shook my head which serves as my response to him.
He then looks down right at my feet and saw that one of my shoes are missing so I hid my bare foot under my long dress.
"You don't need to hide it, I know it's you...besides your other shoe looks exactly the same as this"
His eyes pointed at the one he is holding before raising his hand with the shoe.
No! Is he going to hit me?!
I shut my eyes to ready myself but he just told me to show my palms.
I did what he told me while I show him the palm of my hands.
Gahh! Is he going to break my hands?!
"Here, next time don't just throw it somewhere since someone might get hit by it again"
He frankly told me before turning back.
"Huh?"
Wait, that's it?
"By the way, next time if you can't wear high-inched heels like those...just wear flat ones instead or it'll be troublesome"
He told me before walking away.
What? Who does he think he is telling me not to wear high-heels!
...Shet!
I forgot to apologize to him! Not only because of this shoe but also what I said to him before.
~3rd Person POV~
Cain touched the bump of his head as soon as he walk away from the girl. He can feel it getting bigger by seconds but it wasn't just a big deal to him since he is used to things a lot worse than this.
Like how his mother beats him up whenever she's drunk or pissed. She's using the high-heeled shoes she loves to hit it to him.
What a bad memory for Cain.
Anyway, the girl earlier...
It feels like he saw her before, is it because of last time? When she passed through him for bumping into him at the first day.
He knows that he was used to people looking at him as a monster but when that girl looked at him like that, it feels so painful and he doesn't know why.
Besides, he also began experiencing weird dreams as soon as he entered the academy. Like everything is so familiar to him even though it is just his first time getting inside.
Does he know that girl somewhere?
"Those calluses..."
He muttered to himself.
He saw the calluses from that girl's feet earlier. He even told her words like...
'By the way, next time if you can't wear high-inched heels like those...just wear flat ones instead or it'll be troublesome'
He just wants to say to her that she should not wear any more high-heels if her feet are hurting from it but why does he need to concern himself from others?
He told himself to not get involved from someone again or he might get hurt again.
Cain sighed and put one of his hand into his forehead remembering what he just said.
"Why do you look so troubled, Cain?"
He 'tsk' for a second because of the young man who called to him.
"You..."
"You always look so annoyed with me"
Eros told his cousin.
"You think?"
Cain hurriedly walk to pass through Eros who is just chuckling.
He can't forget what Eros did to him when they were just eight years old. He is one of the reason why Cain is like a monster to people right now.
"Did you perhaps saw a girl with light brown hair and light brown eyes?"
He asked Cain who just ignored him.
"Find her yourself"
'Why? Is that girl a fling of him too?'
Cain thought to himself.
'I won't get involved with someone again'
"Awww, I'm just asking..."
Eros pouted before grinning.
"Time to find that girl..."
~Delie's POV~
I'm now sitting on a fountain which is a bit further than the veranda.
My feet hurts so much that I decided to take off both of my shoes and massage it for a bit.
"Wearing very high-heels are really problematic...I was only going to wear two inches one but lady Daphne told me to wear six-inched ones instead"
Why did I accept it again? Ahhh, I'm such a loser.
Earlier, the villain told me to wear flat ones instead of high-heeled shoes. Is it because he is annoyed or he is concerned?
Either way...even though he looks scary when he looked at me, he is very handsome.
Although...I think if his hair is shorter, he might look better.

What am I saying?! Well...he is HANDSOME but...he is the villain so...
Argh! I can feel my cheeks heating up. Am I blushing?!
"What is a pretty like you doing here alone?"
I looked beside the voice that was getting near me and I saw the male lead smiling at me.
"You should be enjoying the party inside"
I stood up from the fountain and wear my heels even though it hurts.
"It's none of your business if I want to be here, how about you? What are you doing here?"
My feet is badly hurt right now. I WANT TO SCREAM IN PAIN and being with the male lead here will just worsen my pain.
"You sound like my cousin"
He laughs.
Even though he is the male lead and his shining appearance can make me blind. I don't have time for his flirting.
"If you'll excuse me, I need to get back to the-"
I was about to walk away from him but he stopped me by grabbing my arm.
"What the-?"
I looked back to scold him but I was speechless when I see his serious face. His dirty blonde hair is back to silver and his onyx eyes is back to purple.
"Shouldn't you be a bit more respectful to me?"
He was smiling but I can feel that he is unhappy right now.
"Wh-what do you mean?"
I tried looking away from him.
"Don't play dumb, you know who I am...don't you?"
His tone sounds threatening.
I gulped.
Male lead...I do know you, I know you're just trying to scare me. He just want people to be honest with him.
Fine then!
"Alright, I do know you...Your Imperial Highness! So what? Are you afraid that I would reveal your identity?"
He looks surprised at my response.
Ha! You thought I would keep playing dumb?
"Actually, I'm not angry because of that...I know you already know who I am from the start and if you do want to expose me then you already had done that far earlier"
"Then what do you want, Your Imperial Higness?"
He wants me to be respectful, right?
"I'm angry because I'm interested in you...and you kept trying to avoid me, may I know the reason why?"

The male lead is interested in an EXTRA like me?
"Look, Your Imperial Higness, I know that you just want to hid your identity and all but everyone has their own privacy"
I took off my arm that he has been holding.
"You really are interesting..."
He looks amused.
Yeah yeah...enough with that cliché line.
"And Your Imperial Higness, you already have a fiancee...shouldn't you be a bit more faithful to her?"
I glared at him.
"You see I-"
His sentence was cut off when a group of noble girls are screaming towards him.
"Eros! There you are!! Kyahhh!!!"
They run as they saw the male lead.
"Damn! I'm sorry girls but I already have a da- huh? Where did she go?"
I immediately left as soon as the girls come to left the male lead with them.

Stupid male lead! Does he think he can just make me an idiot or someone he can easily fool!
"Delie! You're already here?"
Valerie saw me who was suprisingly talking to Kayle. Our other friends are around them as well.
"Huh? Why do you all look so shocked?"
I asked them.
"Actually, your cousin told me that he saw you hurriedly going to the veranda. I just went inside the hall with my roommate when he talked to me since he told me that he knows I'm your friend so he asked me if something is wrong with you"
Valerie said without any pause.
"Who said that I'm looking for her?"
Kayle said embarassed.
"I'm really worried that she is troubled with something, I hope I can help her as said by him in his mind"
Valerie told me with a book on her hand.
Even here, she's reading a book.
She's really inspired by one of my smart friends in my past life, Kate Valerie.
"Wha-! Don't just read my mind"
I thought Valerie's gift is just about projecting her thoughts to others but I guess she can read minds too.
"Don't worry, I can only read minds for a bit and I just discovered it just a few months ago...I can only read by about ten seconds and if I went two feet away from that person then I can't read their minds anymore. It's just that giving information is a lot easier than gaining information, right?"
She explained to us.
I sat down at a chair in a corner since I need to think for a moment.
I saw the villain again in the other corner of the room eating a chocolate dessert that I tasted earlier. It looks like he is inlove with chocolate too, well Cordelia did gave him chocolate before so maybe he grew fond of it.
I keep wondering why the villain had black magic in the first place and why the male lead has white magic ones. It seems that the villain can control his powers compared to before since he grew now.
He and the male lead originally unlocked their powers at the same age and year. It didn't state in the last book the reason why they both unlocked it at the same year and there's very few information about the saintess in the novel too, just full of Cordelia's lovestory.
It feels like there is more story than the novel itself and somehow incomplete. It's just about a poor daughter of a baron becoming the new empress. A typical Cinderella story.
"You look so deep in thought, wouldn't you like to dance first?"
A hand was reached out to me and I saw Kayle smiling at me.
"Nah, I'm good"
I told him. He sighed.
"You idiot, I'm asking you for a dance"
Oh~! I see! Hahaha!
"Sure! But don't get mad at me for stepping at your feet!"
I warned him and he stop me for a moment when I tried to stand up from my seat.
"What?"
"Here, wear this..."
He gave me a box with purple flat shoes inside.
"Where did you get this?"
"It was supposed to be for your birthday last time but it didn't finish it in time so I just kept it with me until I had the chance to give it you so I think today is the right time...I even went back to my dorm to get it for you"
He scratch the backk of his head looking flustered.
Awww, so sweet!
"Thank you!!"
I took off the high-heeled shoes I'm wearing and wear the flat ones.
"Let's go!"
I slip my arms into his and pull him towards the dance floor.
I should enjoy this night! Besides, there won't be anymore acquaintance party after this day so why not make the most of it?
Kayle and I danced the whole night until the party ended. It is indeed one of the memorable dances I had in this life.
After a few days, it's finally the first day of our lesson! Good luck to me!
