CHAPTER 19
~3rd Person POV~
Inside one of the many rooms of the Bogdan's Palace, the emperor is busy sorting out some documents he needed after his meeting with the other emperors earlier.
Viscountess Ranni Un Shaw was beside his table and was helping him sort out some documents. She also went to take a day off her work in tutoring children to work as a translator since some of the documents are written in many different dialects.
The emperor was quite pissed since he expected that the two other empires will send him some documents that was already translated. He has no choice but to ask for the viscountess.
"Viscountess Un Shaw, is it really alright for you to help me?"
The emperor is worried for the elder woman. He's thinking that she was only forced to help him since he is the emperor and she has no choice.
"Of course, nothing is more important than helping Your Majesty!"
She smiled while she continues to take some papers that were needed to be translated.
"Didn't I tell you to just call me Luther in private?"
The emperor sighed remembering the time when he was just a crown prince and when the viscountess was still working for the empire.
"Your Majesty, you know I cannot do that!"
"Viscountess...the reason why father let you inherit the viscount title is for you to relax and be at ease, you were a late friend of my father and one of my advisors before..."
"I know that, Your Majesty! "
Lady Ranni giggled. The emperor was still a nice man she remembered him to be, although there are some rumors that the emperor was actually a tyrant in secret.
Lady Ranni Un Shaw was the emperor's former advisor when he was just a crown prince. She also became his mother figure after his mother died when he was young and it was because he needed love from a mother. The emperor is not close with his half-sister, the late Duchess Elainne and the former empress who only sees him as a nuisance since he was a child of a palace maid.
Emperor Luther even offered Lady Ranni to live in the palace in luxury but she refused and instead teach young children about etiquettes and manners after she became a viscountess although she assures the emperor that she'll immediately head to the palace if he needs some assistance.
While the two are remembering their past, a knock from outside the door's office was heard.
"Come in"
"Your Majesty, there was a commotion earlier at the Public Library"
The imperial knight bowed infront of the emperor before informing him about the news.
"A commotion?"
The emperor asked the knight without looking at him which hints his disinterest.
"There was a commoner who's gift was unsealed! He attacks a small girl earlier"
"Oh my! A small girl? What happened to her?"
Lady Ranni was devastated to know that the man was willing to hurt a little child.
"She's alright, Lady Ranni but there was another girl who blocked the attack! A small light came from her"
That sentence finally caught the emperor's attention which made him look at him seriously.
"A little girl? What does she look like?"
"...She looks like an average noble girl..."
The imperial knight's eyes go up and tries to remember what the young girl looks like.
"There wasn't anything that stands out from her appearance?"
The emperor narrowed his eyes, it seems like he was thinking of something that can make the child stand out.
"Nothing,Your Majesty! But I confirmed that the girl was a daughter of Count Darius La Eclaus"
"La Eclaus...?"
The emperor puts his hands on his chin like he was thinking.
(Was there something special about that family?)
The emperor knows that it was only a normal count family.
"Does the girl have light brown hair and light brown eyes?"
Lady Ranni asked the knight after hearing that it was a daughter of the La Eclaus family.
"Yes...she does"
"Then is it young lady Delie...?"
Lady Ranni muttered to herself. She looks really worried about the young girl since she grew attached to her somehow.
"Is there something about that girl, viscountess?"
The emperor turns to look at her, his eyes is full of curiosity.
"It is the girl I was telling you about! The one who still acts like a child yet her way of thinking and questions are different from girls her age"
That made the emperor more curious. She might be connected to the saintess but he can't believe it since only a descendant of the saintess should have golden blonde hair.
"I see...then send someone to investigate on that family...also! Call the private doctor of that family and tell him that I'd like to speak with him"
"Yes, Your Majesty!"
The imperial knight bows to him before leaving his office.
"You are not planning something again, are you?"
The viscountess crossed her arms. The emperor just smiled at her.
"Of course not! I am just curious and worried about my people~"
The viscountess just sighed at the emperor and was thinking of visiting the young lady after she recovered.

~Delie's POV~
"Sis! Sis! Just how long will you sleep?!"
I heard a voice of a young boy calling for me and shaking my sleeping body.
"Go away! I'm still sleeping!"
I tried moving my arms to 'shoo' him away even when my eyes are closed.
"Jeez! Come on! Mom will be so angry!"
The boy continues to shake me more.
"Knock it off!"
I finally woke up from my bed and saw that the surrounding is different. My room is much smaller and is very different.
I saw an airconditioner, a small TV and some things that are like in my past life.
"What am I...?"
"Good, you're finally awake! It's lunch time!"
The young boy with a blurry face smacks me with a pillow before leaving my room.
"Ouch! Who...?"
The boy feels so familiar to me. It's like I already know him.
I gave up thinking so I just head outside my room. I saw a few people on the dining area chatting with an unknown language but I can somehow understand them.
"Princess! It's about time! Hurry up!"
A middle-aged man called me and pat the chair next to him like he was telling me to sit there.
Princess? Is he talking to me??
Since when did my name became Princess??
"Sis! Hurry! I'll eat your portion!"
Another young boy who looks younger from the boy earlier called for me. Their face are all so blurry but I can still recognize them by their body and voice.
I saw a large mirror beside me and saw another face that wasn't Delie.
Who are you??
Is this...?
This is me...
The real me...

I remember now...
My name is Princess Delie...
Why is my second name the same as Delie though? Maybe it's just a coincidence.
I live with my parents, my two younger brothers and my grandparents...
I remember everything about myself now! I can't still remember my past life's family much or the names of my friends but I'm glad I know myself now!
But why am I here suddenly?
"Coming!"
You know what? I don't care if this is a dream or not but I'm glad that I already know my name! I might as well enjoy this moment with my real family!
I step one of my foot front but in the blink of my eye, everything around me turns dark and the people who was waiting for me to seat beside them vanished.
"Oh! Come on...! Not again!"
I shouted at the darkness around me.
(You shouldn't have come back...you'll just regret it!)
A voice echoed around me. The voice sounds very familiar.
"Who are you?"
(I am you...)
I immediately look behind my back in the direction where the voice was coming from and saw an older Delie with a melancholic face.
(You shouldn't have come back...live free...)
Her lips are not moving and it's like I'm looking at myself in the mirror. I tried moving my right hand and her left hand moved too.
Then I tried tilting my head on the right side and she did too except on the left side like a mirror.
What the heck is going on here?
"Blehhh!"
I sticked my tongue out and she did too!
Okay! Weirddd! Why is Delie copying me?!
(Stop making fun of me)
The same voice echoed again.
"Just who are you anyway?!"
I shouted. My voice echoed this time and the older Delie was really doing the exact same thing as me.
"You..."
I tried reaching my left hand out to her. She also reach her right hand.
"I am you...?"
As soon as our hands touched, another blinding light came. The darkness around me fades.
Just what's with this light things? Give me more than that and I might have suffer from an eye problem.
I woke up again. This time, in a familiar room.
I'm back!
As Delie!
"Sara...?"
I narrowed my eyes and saw Sara sobbing in a corner, she even blows her nose in her handkerchief.
"Y-young miss?!"
She turns to look at me as soon as she saw me.
"H-hey..."
I gave her a smile and wave my hand a bit. Her tears come out more and she suddenly hugs me.
"Young miss!!!"
"Whoa! I was only sleeping for a few minutes!"
"Few minutes..? But you were sleeping for five days straight!"
Huh??!
But it just felt like five minutes earlier!
"Am I..?"
"Quickly! I need to tell everyone!"
She quickly stormed out of my room even almost tripping.
Five days?! I was sleeping for five days?!
"Delie!"
I saw my parents and siblings coming inside. Not only them, I also saw Anne and Arthur coming in with our other friends.
Kayle is also here!
"Why are you guys all here?"
I think I'm about to suffocate with a lot of people inside my room.
"We are very worried about you! So we decided to see you after you woke up!"
Anne told me.
Awww, they are so sweet!
"Thank you everyone!"
I open my arms to signal them for a hug.
They all tackled me for a hug at the same time that I can't hardly breathe.
"One by one please!"
I told them grasping for air.

After a few hours...
My parents told me that the doctor told them that the reason why I collapsed was because of my gift.
Some gifts even make people sleep for a month. My body was in shock that's why I slept for five days.
I didn't really listen to them since my mind went on cloud nine after I knew that I already unlocked mine!
Ha! I'm not giftless!
"So...what is my gift?"
My parents looked at each other sweetly but I can see their uneasiness.
"The doctor said that it was considered a rare gift"
My father told me.
"Really?! What can it do?"
I stood up from my bed and slightly jump on it that we can hear the squeaky sound of the mattress.
"Uh...he said that it can negate every gift and that when you touched someone else' gift or someone who was using magic then it will not work on you"
Mother replied to me.
"Oh!! So the ones with gifts or anything with magic is useless to me? Then, what else?!"
Can I make a magic barrier? A giant shield?
"That's all the doctor said..."
Mother continued.
Ehh? That's all?
"Don't worry Delie! It can be used as either an offense or defense! You can attack someone without worrying that they will harm you by their gift or defend yourself when they used their gift on you! In short, it's like having a fight with a normal giftless person!"
I can tell that my father is trying to cheer me up bit I just sighed.
"So in short...my gift is USELESS?"
"Yes! Totally useless!"
Father smiles happily. Mother nudged her elbows on his arm which made him realized what he just said.
"I meant that a person with a gift is totally useless against yours! So it isn't REALLY useless!"
And here I thought that my gift was special!!
Father only laughs nervously while mother smacks her hand on her forehead because of father.

~3rd person POV~
The emperor was inside his private office again to do some paperworks when he heard a knock from the door.
"Come on in"
It was the same imperial knight a few days ago who informed the emperor about the young lady, this time the La Eclaus' family doctor was beside him.
"Good day, Your Majesty"
The doctor bows infront of the emperor.
"You may raise your head, so? How is the young lady doing?"
"It seems that the young lady just unlocked her gift but hers is really unique! It is not even considered as rare, instead it was like a lost power...a gift that can stop gifts"
The doctor looks a bit happy by how he was telling the news to the emperor.
"I see...thank you for the news, I'll be sure to send you three years of donation in your hospital as your reward so you may now leave"
"But Your Majesty!"
"Yes?"
"Isn't this a great discovery! Her powers is like that of the legendary Saintess! We must let the public kne-"
His words were cut off when he saw the emperor with a fierce eyes, telling him to stop speaking right now.
"Do not tell anyone about that child's gift and its capabalities even to herself or you can say farewell to you tongue if you do"
He threatens the doctor with a terrifying glare. The doctor gulped and nodded, he was unable to let out a single word from his mouth.
"Escort him out in the palace...make sure that no one saw him"
The emperor ordered the knight who looks like he was used to the emperor's scary glare but the imperial knight can't still help fear him.
It was the emperor's gift after all. The gift to make someone fear him, when you look at the emperor's eyes...you can't help but to feel helpless and weak like he was already torturing you inside your mind.
After a few minutes, the knight informed that doctor has already left.
"Find someone to investigate the La Elcaus family"
The emperor ordered the knight before he bows and leave.
The emperor was curious about the young girl's origin and the reason why she acquired such power. A power that can be threat to him.
On the other side of the wall, the crown prince grinned after he heard his father's conversation with the doctor.
"So the old man was afraid after all..."
The prince walks away from the wall he was leaning his back with.
"Well...it can't be help that he is afraid that the power of the saintess is finally coming back like how the prophecy was stated..."
The prince mutters to himself before going to a room with all the secrets of the imperial family is kept. He always goes there without the emperor's consent.
"He is afraid that the saintess is coming for us...after all what our ancestors had done to her"
He took the pages that were used to inside the book 'The Legend of the Saintess' and read its secrets.
After coming out of the room, the crown prince asked his advisor if he knew about a girl from the La Eclaus family.
"Yes! I have a student there! She was quite a bright child and was a curious one too since she always talks about serious things"
The Viscount Taylor Uy Apollo chuckles remembering how funny the girl is. He took a bunch of files in his cabinet with pictures of his students.
"She's the one"
The viscount turns the pages until he saw a picture of Delie to show it to the crown prince. The prince was a bit surprised since she is the same girl who saw through his disguise.
The little girl with the funny face.
"Hmmm...how interesting..."
He commented focusing at the young girl's picture.

~Delie's POV~
"Achoo!"
I sneezed again before I went to sleep.
Argh...maybe I'll get a fever again!
Or...someone was thinking of me~
Lol! In your dreams!
Last time I thought someone was talking me but I ended having a fever anyway!
You know, a lot happened the next few years. I celebrated my gift when my parents threw me a Gift Celebration Party without me asking for one (since I'm disappointed). Aunt Illiana became pregnant the next year after she was cured of her sickness (thanks to my advices lol) and Kayle had a little sister he always dreamed of! She looks like an angel and also inherited aunt Illiana's turquoise hair but the marquis' dark green eyes.
Sara and Ron became an official couple! David and Arthur was proposed by some other noble girls but they rejected them right away. David was still thinking about the young Si Flora even though he only met her three times whenever he goes there within the span of years. Arthur on the other hand, still proclaims his feelings for me and always asked my hand for a kiss in every Christmas party.
The hologram message was also invented so we can finally talk so easily like doing a video call on a cellphone except in 3D but every use is very expensive so we only used it when we need to.
FIVE YEARS LATER...
It's already Year 395!
"Young miss! Are you ready?"
I heard Sara who was looking for me.
"Coming!"
I'm already fifteen years old! Nothing much information happens in those five years but I'm glad that I already know my real name in my past life.
But...I still don't know what novel I am in.
