Sitting awkwardly gritting my teeth as I look at the two of them in front of me, as if mad men chowing down on the take out. The sudden sullenness around the two of them still drifting as I sit here huddled with a couple of pillows at my disposal, Ezra eyed me passing a sandwich he got.
"Eat. Don't mind Elliot he's a slob."
"A slob?! Ezra have you looked at yourself?!" Eli reprimanded, the two of them falling into a small argument about their appearances.
"I'm still confused about you two being related," I said softly as the two of them returned to sit up straight. "Can you two at least explain?" Eli sighing as he took a sip of his coffee, Ezra's arm already draped across my shoulder as he rested his head mine.
"Apparently my mom is marrying this guy's dad soon." he whispered loud enough for Eli to hear."Also, I didn't know you two were going out love."
"We're not," I plainly told him.
"We're just friends." Ezra raised an eyebrow trailing his fingers along my arm as I scoot away from him.
"Ezra, that's enough you're not supposed to do that to a woman."
"You're really no fun Elliot, besides this isn't the first time I've touched her." Eli stood up knocking the table in the process making me jump as he stared daggers at Ezra, he simply smirked as the other looking furiously. He let out a breath and walked to the kitchen.
"So?" looking at the man before me. "When were you going to tell me you're having fun love?" he hummed nuzzling his nose against the skin of my neck, gripping tightly on my shoulder as I stood away.
"I don't think I'm obligated to tell you anything about my private life Ezra." he smirked and laid down on the couch, looking over my shoulder heading for the kitchen which was empty. Eli was on the bed face down hiding in the pillows, hair disheveled and fist curling on the sheets.
"I can see he's into you." he muffled out.
"He isn't into me Eli."
"Then stop flirting with him then Lilian!" he groaned looking up from the pillows darting towards the windows, scrunching my eyebrows letting out a huff.
"I'm not flirting with anyone Eli!" he ran a hand through his hair gripping on the roots.
"I don't know what you're talking about but that-" he pointed outside the room- "was flirting Lilian."
"Ezra got touchy I know but I did back away! Come on Eli you're being a child!"
"Then tell them to stop touching you!" he exclaimed gripping on my shoulders, shrugging him off and closing the door.
"You can't just order someone to not touch me like you own me!" sighing at him running my fingers through my hair.
"Do you not trust me Eli?"
"Of course I do!" he said "I do, I trust you. It's just that I don't trust him around you." his hands wrapping around my waist letting me rest my head against his chest, skimming my fingers along his back as a calming sigh left his lips.
"Eli," briefly taking a breath as he hummed, pulling away from him a bit to cup his cheeks. "if it means so much to you I'll tell him to stop okay?" he nodded his head as I run my thumbs across his freckled cheek, smiling at him once more before he let out a breath again.
"What are you thinking about?" he shook his head hand entwined with mine.
"See, that smile of yours," he let out a silent groan pulling me by the hand resting his forehead on mine. "It's just that you're beautiful and I'm not the only one that thinks that." raising my hand to rest on his chest feeling him breathing calmly as I run my fingers in his hair.
"You know I have feelings for you."
"I know, I know." he hummed leaving a trail of kisses on my neck as he nestles his head on my shoulder. The soft sheets feel welcoming mind drifting from the thoughts of Ezra in the living room, his arms engulfing my small figure against the bed. Eyes flickering from freckles, to flushed cheeks, red ears and littered necks.
"I have to get to work Ezra's outside too." he groaned tightening the hug he had on me, letting out a soft laugh as his hand caressing my cheek.
"Lilian, the bed is warm, we can get take out." sighing and shaking my head as my smile grew, and like the wind was listening to his antics it blew hard, cold and harsh making me shudder.
"Aren't you tired from that book fair you had?" scoffing at him covering my face with my hands as I laughed.
"Eli that was a week ago." he sighed turning over to face the pillows.
"I'll be facing chaos if you leave," he huffed. "Can't you stay here run your fingers through my hair and let me just love you?"
"Is this your way of getting me to stay?" I asked placing a kiss on his arm, rubbing my hands on his back.
"Is it working?" I shake my head staring into his green orbs and laughing.
"Maybe?"
