I awoke in bed by not an alarm, but a text...
Who the heck has the guts to text me on a weekend?!
*The text reads*
Sayuri: Hey! Where are you?! We're all here now!
Oh yeah... I joined a club... And I have to come in on weekends to help set up the club.
Akari: I'm on my way!
"Alright...Time to shower." I said reluctantly and dragged myself out of bed.
"Oh Akari! You're up early!" The well dressed Haruka said.
Wait, well dressed? Where's she going?
*doorbell*
Huh? Who can that be? I open the door hesitantly.
...
"Hey..."
It's Yuji!
"Wait what? Huh?"
I confusingly said.
"Oh, me and Yuji are gonna get some food, you want me to get you some too?"
Haruka asked.
I feel something mischievous happening...
"Ehm... No I'm fine. Enjoy your date."
I winked at her.
"I-It's not a date!"
Haruka blushed and slammed the door.
Haha... cute. Anyways I gotta go now! I need to be early and leave a good impression!
I hurriedly left my house and rushed to the bus station.
"Wait! Please wait!"
I said to the bus that was idling in front of the stop.
Phew...
I ended up making it to school 10 minutes early. But Why did I go here anyway?
"Hey! Akari! Over here!"
Hotaru signaled.
"You sure are late! So much for being the vice president! You should be more punctual!"
Kana scolded me.
"I'm really sorry! I got held up by traffic."
I made up an excuse because it's way easier than telling them I overslept.
"Well that can't be helped. I get stuck waiting for a bus all the time!"
Hotaru said.
"Anyways, we have a bigger problem you guys!" Kana shouted.
"Generally, when a person thinks about a Media Club, they think about tv shows and dramas. So we have to fix that! We have to hide our hidden intentions while still recruiting weeaboos into our club!"
Kana shouted.
"I have an idea!"
Hotaru exclaimed.
"Aiko-sensei said that there's going to be a festival and all the clubs can participate to try to recruit new members!"
"What are we even going to do?" I asked.
How are we going to pull this off? I mean, you don't necessarily think a Media and Entertainment Club means Anime.
"Isn't it obvious?! We're gonna show everyone what anime is all about!" Hotaru added.
I have a bad feeling about this... either this turns out great and we get new members, or we're shunned and literally exiled from normal society.
"Alright, so how are we doing this?" I asked
"A watch-a-long? Like a theater but we show good anime?" Kana suggested.
"That's not a bad idea actually." Hotaru said.
"Yeah but how are we going to attract people? Also we can't just show anime. We're the Media and Entertainment Club! We have to show other things too!" I asked and critiqued the idea.
"Good point..."
Kana said as she thought of a way.
"Alright, So let's divide the work! Since it was your idea, Hotaru, can you handle the venue and advertising?"
Kana asked.
"Roger, Ma'am!"
said Hotaru followed by a salute.
"Alright, I'll handle the theater materials itself, and Akari, Akari?"
Kana was calling to a spaced out Akari.
"Huh? Oh yes!"
I shouted.
"What? Anyways, you handle the things we're going to be viewing. Can you do that?"
asked Kana.
"Yes Ma'am!"
I said without thinking... How am I going to find normal tv shows?! I only ever watch anime!
"Alright! It's settled then! We need these by next week alright?"
Kana said.
"Can do, Ma'am!"
shouted Hotaru.
"Ehm.. yeah..."
I hesitantly agreed.
"Alright, Let's do this gang!"
Kana shouted at the top of her lungs.
This is going to be so tiring...
