"You're the one who's going to get killed by my hands if you fight against me. It's either death for you or you can join me and rule together," Lionel threatens her with his chilling voice.
Milla's voice is icy when she responds, "Go die first. I'm not interested in you, arse-worm."
"Shadow," Lionel whispers and after a few seconds, the shadow appears as he bows to him.
Lionel says with finality, "I'm going back to the mansion, I'm taking her with me."
'Did we make another enemy out of Lady Milla?' The vampires all think that way upon hearing what Lionel has said when they follow Shadow into the dining area. They witness these two deadly vampires facing each other and feel a chill in their spines.
"Take all the women you want, but you can't take me," Milla stands up and dashes to her room upstairs.
Shadow, on the other hand, thinks that the vampire emperor finally meets his match. Someone who he has no control over, but he pities the woman. He doesn't know what the vampire emperor plans to do with her. However, he thinks that she'll get herself killed if she doesn't obey the emperor of death.
True to his reputation of not letting anyone disobey him, Lionel walks after Milla. Dionne wants to go after them, but Shadow is guarding them and he's no match for the vampire emperor. Meanwhile, Milla buries herself on her six black fluffy pillows and closes her eyes.
Lionel kicks the doors open, in lieu of knocking on the door. He kicks it enough to open the locked doors and not damage the entirety of it. He spots Milla all buried on her pillows and thick black velvety blanket as he approaches her, "Get up."
Grabbing Milla's pillows away is not that easy because she won't budge or she won't release her pillows. "Should I just carry you for you to get up?" Hearing this, Milla throws her two pillows to his direction and growls, "Fine, my pillows are yours!"
Milla rolls in the opposite direction so she could close her eyes again. But, Lionel is already there, "Get. Out. Of. My. Bedroom."
It is the first time that she's not in kill mode when she only sees red, nothing else. Milla now sees him clearly and unconsciously thinks, 'He's actually a bawcock.' Lionel has a dark brown messy shoulder-length hair and dark red irises like hers. His skin is also as white as snow, with not-so-thick messy eyebrows, pointed nose, and a chiseled jawline. He is wearing a light blue polo shirt with some top buttons open and a shirt that's slightly tucked in his white pants. Some parts of his clothes have spots of red- probably blood from his glass' spills, earlier.
He's about to drag her out of the bed when Shadow appears in the doorway, "All the Grand Elders are about to arrive via helicopter."
"Pesky elders, I might kill them all next time," Lionel mutters and turns to Milla who is looking at him with a poker face.
He proclaims this, while he has his back on her, leaving her bedroom, "I'm coming back for you, Milla."
...
In the garden behind the mansion, the vampires and the Grand Elders have an emergency meeting. Not knowing that Milla can hear them loud and clear.
An elder vampire man shares the news with a furious tone, "We're not here because you summoned us. Have any of you heard the massacre of fifteen construction workers in the million acres of forest, here in Alaska? They have bite marks on their necks- it was a work of a f*cking vampire! Who was it?!"
"It's probably the work of the Vampire Emperor, again!" Another old vampire man can't help but shouts his rage.
"It's not the work of the Vampire Emperor, Grand Elders. I think it's Milla Valentiana, the ancient vampire woman inside the mansion," the vampire king concludes from what he heard earlier in the argument between Milla and Lionel in the dining area.
An old vampire woman questions him, "Who's Milla Valentiana? Did you say... an ancient vampire?! How is that possible, they're all killed-" She stops speaking immediately upon realizing what she just said.
The vampire king mumbles, "We don't know how, but she keeps asking about who woke her up..."
The last thing that the vampire king said, piques the old woman's curiosity, "Woke her up? What do you- wait, the humans also retrieved an empty and old coffin next to the corpses in the forest, which they apparently discovered buried deep into the ground. Do you mean that... she's there all along...?"
"How... Why... was she there... in the first place?" The vampire king voices out what all of the vampires are thinking.
An elder vampire man says a magisterial pronouncement, "We don't need more of this ferocious vampire rampaging the Earth. The Vampire Emperor is more than enough. We have to give her to the humans or we'll kill her ourselves."
"But, the Vampire Emperor seems interested in her... Grand Elder. In spite of that, Lady Milla isn't interested in him, at all," the vampire king expresses his opinion to the Grand Elders.
The elder vampire man shakes his head, "We don't know about that in the near future. What if they rule together, can you all imagine how catastrophic it will be? Take us to where that vampire woman is."
Milla sitting at her black chaise bedroom bench with her legs crossed is what they find upon entering her bedroom, "I've been waiting for all of you. How's your gathering?"
"Why don't we battle it out, to know who's the strongest? And, whether you can kill me or not. Lastly, have some respect. I'm older than the rest of you," those are Milla's imposing and peremptory words.
"I'm not unreasonable, I'll give you time to speak. Follow me to the living room," Milla stands up then disappears in a heartbeat. They follow her because they have no choice. Milla heard everything and they still have to deal with her.
They see her sitting on the same seat by the fireplace or what she calls a hearth. Milla doesn't wait for them to sit as she interrogates them, "How did humans come to know of our existence- about vampires? And, why does the blood we drink aren't fresh?"
The Grand Elders and other vampires glance at each other. When they look back at Milla, she's raising her eyebrow at them while tapping her fingers on the chair, "No one's outside or any of Lionel's servants in the whole island. Now, talk."
"We can not tell you how, but, your second question- that we can answer. We had a deal with the humans that we wouldn't get blood directly from them- killing them in the process, instead, hospitals will provide us blood," a Grand Elder man starts to talk and some of them are surprised to hear that she can sense the whole island.
"It's your deal, not mine. Make sure to tell that to the humans. Now, how do you plan on killing me? I'm intrigued," Milla smirks, now, with her legs crossed and her back leaning comfortably at the chair.
Their legs weaken and are currently in distress- worrying about their lives. But, the Grand Elder who doesn't know what's good for him since the beginning speaks up with confidence and rage, "The humans are squeezing us for information about the massacre YOU DID. It is your liability to face the consequences."
"Ohh, I could do so much more killing, they are underestimating me. Are you willing to face your consequence- preferably death, old man?" Her smirk getting larger and her red irises showing a deathly glint.
That Grand Elder becomes anxious and apprehensive, "You- I will kill you myself!"
The moment the vampires blink, Milla is nowhere to be seen and what's left of the Grand Elder is his body standing- only his body, with his head missing. A trail of blood is on the white furry carpet and as they follow the end of it- Milla has her back on them, and on her right hand is the Grand Elder's head looking at them with both of his eyes and mouth wide open.
He doesn't even have the chance to scream and express his pleading for his life. No sound can be heard in the living room, only the crackling of the fire and the blood falling can be heard- due to their enhanced hearing. Their expressions show that they are petrified and surprised, some of them have their eyes or mouth hanging open.
Milla turns around as she approaches them, then she forcefully pushes the head to the vampire king's stomach. She seriously asks them, "Who's next?"
"How... why..." The vampire princess prevents one of the Grand Elder women from sentencing her own death by pulling her and shaking her head.
Milla smiles chillingly which gives them goosebumps, "Good. Also, tell the humans to come and get me if they do dare." Milla disappears again in front of their eyes.
