Chapter 7 - First Craft

As Little Ihan returned to the mansion the sun was high up in the sky which was about time for the afternoon, he got back to the library and decided to process the information his Master told him, first the rumors about the Immortal Creator Realm, second how gods existed and people could achieve this realm, third cultivators could have the cultivation of pure Life Energy or the Secondary-Life Energy, he repeated everything in his head and sorted it out then decided to advance fast into Disciple Crafter Realm.

He sat down in his chair in front of him was the third and last book he hadn't read yet, which had magic formations that allowed one to do some simple things that aided one in life and the complex ones to go against a Life Foundation Cultivator.

The book talked first about the nature of magic formations, how one could be enlightened in the art of magic formations, it said the nature of magic formations was nature itself and Life Energy one needed to understand the world around to be able to understand the complexity behind magic formations because according to the book, magic formations were just the use of Life Energy to interfere with the world, it said that one could be enlightened in the art called magic formations when one was in a state where he was free from the worldly affairs and was able to observe nature itself and how it flowed and how he could use Life Energy to put a change it.

After the introduction to magic formations craft, the next pages were the real deal which was blueprints for magic formations, the first was simple as little Ihan understood them and what they did just by reading the basic information and how one could craft one, the first magic information he read it was called 'Light Eye' magic formation and like its name it was made to lighten the darkness when one lacked a source of light, little Ihan found it simple and had already memorized and could even improve upon it, the next one was called 'Light Heal' magic formation as its name suggested it had the power equivalent to late-stage Life Qi and could help speed the healing process of one's body when pressed then activated against the body, and the same like usual little Ihan didn't even pause for more than 3 minutes as he understood it, memorized, and could improve upon it.

Like that little Ihan kept reading the so-called 'simple' magic formations and memorized everything and understood it, after reading almost a third of the book he finally reached the Disciple Crafter Realm magic formations and this all happened in about 4 hours, he decided to take a little rest and eat something before heading to his Master's place.

With a quick lunch, he told his parents that he will head to his Master's villa, then existed the Mansion, after a quick walk he was in front of the door.

Knock Knock

"Master! your disciple has come to pay his respect!", said little Ihan his usual greetings after a light knock on the door.

"Yes, Come in!", replied Urna with his ancient voice from inside the small villa.

Little Ihan quickly opened the door then went inside finding Urna sitting in the living room in front of him was one paper with what seemed to be some complex shapes and writings and next to it there was a necklace that had a wooden heart-shaped pendant with a yellow jewel in the middle of it, the paper looked like the so-called magic talisman paper, and it looked like MasterCrafter Urna had just finished them.

"Hoh, You came at the right time little Ihan, these are one protection and one attack magic formations of the third level of the Life Core Realm, I've prepared these for you to have some protection.", said Urna in a caring voice while looking at the 4-year-old disciple of his.

"Here take this necklace it is made with Earth-Life Energy which specializes in defense the most it'll even hold against a first level Soul Realm cultivator once, keep the protection one with you all the time, it will block 10 full attacks from a third level Life Core, now this magic formation which I made from Ice-Life Energy its attack power is no less than Fire-Life Energy and will freeze a Life Core Realm cultivator to death, while it couldn't kill a first level Life Soul Realm cultivator it will hold one in place giving you time to run from the danger, I hope you won't need to use them any time soon.", explained Urna as he handed little Ihan the 2 items.

"Thank you Master!", replied little Ihan touched by his master actions as he bowed before taking the 2 items, he wore the necklace and hid it inside his clothes then put the magic formation in his pocket.

"Don't worry too much as long as you reach the Disciple Crafter Realm, Master will take you somewhere, and then only a few ignorant people would still dare put a finger on you.", said Urna in a firm voice comforting little Ihan like how a grandfather cared for their grandson.

"Yes, Master! I will work hard.", replied little Ihan in a confident voice.

"So what made you come to me so fast it hasn't even been a day since your last questions.", asked Urna looking a little confused.

"Master, I read third of the book of magic formations and I understood the simple ones so I didn't want to read the Disciple Crafter Realm ones until I tried crafting the simple ones first.", said little Ihan as if it was a natural thing to learn so many things in little time and by adding the word 'simple' he would crush the self-esteem of many Crafters if they heard him.

"I see..., Uh... you do surprise this Master of yours, any more and this old me would die.", said Urna after a moment of silence, the old Urna couldn't keep his usual expression from the shock even after preparing himself and was lost for words for a second.

"Well if someone else came and said this to me I would've kicked them out but I know you could do it, alright come with me to the study room I'll get you some materials, and let's get you crafting.", added Urna after reminding himself that this disciple of his is a genius that shouldn't be compared to normal Crafters.

'Not only is does he have a good memory his comprehension ability is even more absurd', thought Urna as he stood up and walked to the study room.

Little Ihan followed after his master to the study room excited about how he was going to craft for the first time after they entered the room it was full of bags and small boxes.

Urna looked through some bags and boxes then picked some stuff from them and sat down cross-legged in the center of the room and called little Ihan to come in front of him.

"Sit here! I've got you enough materials to try to your heart content so don't be afraid of failing.", said Urna as he beckoned to little Ihan to sit down.

After little Ihan sat down in front of him cross-legged as well, with his small body if one looked at him they immediately think of the word 'cute' especially girls.

"Feel free to start any time little Ihan I'll let you try first then I'll show you how to make the magic formation after you finish yours.", said Urna as he placed a small wooden sturdy wooden board between him and little Ihan then placed all the bags to the side.

"Yes, Master! I am going to start with the Light Eye magic formation.", replied little Ihan.

He picked the searched the ingredients that his master prepared for him, then picked a small transparent round object that looked like it was made from glass, it was called Glass Eye, he then took a magic paper and finally Life Fluid.

He started by taking the brush and dipping it in the Life Fluid and drawing the magic formation from his memory but since he already understood the concept behind it his version was slightly modified according to what his mind told him, he waited for the Life Fluid to get absorbed by the paper fully then took the Glass Eye and took the brush then dipped it again in Life Fluid then started brushing all over the Glass Eye and grabbed the magic paper and put the side where it was drawn on the surface of the Glass Eye, the Glass Eye started absorbing the magic paper as if it was a part of it and ended up reaching placing itself in the center of the Glass Eye.

"Master I think it's done just like the book described.", said little Ihan thinking that it was easier than he thought not looking at the face of his Master.

Urna who was observing from the start kept nodding his head when his disciple chose the correct ingredients but then got confused because he didn't think that not only little Ihan would learn the magic formation but end up improving it, he thought at first that he just made a mistake but as he kept observing he found the magic formation circuit not only worked as usual, it was better than the one in the book, after looking at the sign of success when the magic paper got absorbed and stored inside the Glass Eye, he was dumbfounded, not only had little Ihan made an improved Light Eye magic formation he even succeeded at his First Craft and in no less than 5 minutes.

One must take note that a Craft Seeker Realm crafter would fail at least once and even if one succeeded at first try it would take them no less than 20 to 30 minutes because of how slow their careful drawing of the magic formation would be and even a Disciple Crafter Realm wouldn't make it in 5 minutes unless one had absurd talent like little Ihan.

"I really should get used to this otherwise, the joke of me dying from your surprises will come true at this point.", muttered Urna as he tried to recover his composure, then he took the finished Light Eye and inspected it because even if little Ihan wanted to activate it he couldn't yet.

"Hahaha Good, Very Good, let's give it a test shall we.", laughed Urna at the talent of his disciple, and then a white light shot from a ring he was wearing and entered to activate the Light Eye.

Buzz

It was if a small sun had shined from nowhere, the Light Eye was so bright that both the Master and the Disciple closed their eyes as it was close to them in the first place, the improved Light Eye was like a small bright sun and Urna had to deactivate it by sending another white light inside the Light Eye.

"T-This is a really good improvement and almost as good as the 'Moon Light' magic formation.", said Urna looking at little Ihan with eyes that had hope in them as if he found his long lost grandson.

"Wow that was so cool, hahaha I did it, I made my first craft, Master how is it?", said little Ihan with joy and happiness written on his face as he laughed and looked at his Master waiting for praise, well he was still a kid after all.

"Very Good little Ihan, you make master prouder every time you come to visit, I really did make my best choice to come here and accepting you as my successor.", said Urna with praise as he looked delightfully at little Ihan.

"Alright, here keep this Light Eye as it's your first craft, it made it have a better light output but also sped the consumption of the stored Life Energy, you can use it for 1 hour of light, come let us try making all the magic formations you learned so far, now go ahead don't worry about the ingredients, craft to your heart content.", explained Urna to little Ihan as he handed the Light Eye to him, then grabbed all the bags and boxes and put them closer to little Ihan.

This marked the start of little Ihan's new path, the path of crafters.

*Author's Notes*

I hope I did explain everything in a way that everyone could understand, but if not read below:

The magic formation being absorbed into the Glass Eye doesn't make it a magic item, it's still a magic formation because the Glass Eye only works as means of a conductor and better casts the light in the surroundings, the Light Eye magic formation could be used without the Glass Eye, it just won't work as good with one.

Also, I can't explain every single magic formation he just learned I will only explain the one above right now and will explain the other ones he will make later on because he spent 4 hours reading a third of the book with an average of 3-4-5 minutes if I am not stupid that's 60 or so magic formations he learned.
