Chapter 4 - Blessed Yet Cursed

A young child who's appearance would make one guess if he was a God's Child could be seen trying to walk with unsteady steps but yet holding his balance to reach his destination.

"Daddy!", called the young child with words that sounded so entrancingly cute and his looks buffed his cuteness.

"Come on little Ihan you can make it.", replied Mirlad as he took little Ihan in his arms, then continued laughing joyfully, "Hahaha, as expected of my son, he can walk and talk despite just reaching 11 months of age".

This young child was little Ihan, he started trying to talk and took his first steps after reaching 8 months of age and could call one character at a time when he reached 9 months of age, at 11 months of age he could say simple words of everyday items easily and remember names of the mansion maids and butler.

After he reached 1 year and 1 month old his physique advanced to a 2nd Grade Knight which caused a lot of shock to his father, being born with 1st Grade Knight physique was very rare already but advancing with no technique whatsoever was nothing short of a miracle.

As he kept growing and at the age of 2 years old he could talk and read fluently and his physique yet again advanced to that of a 3rd Grade Knight, his father was extremely excited he thought 'Finally God has blessed my family', he sent a letter to Master Rasin to tell him about his child's miracles in hopes of making him a disciple of his.

Master Rasin himself was shocked by the content of the letter and immediately left to visit the Lord of the North City Region, but became disappointed after trying to check the child's body for any pure Life Qi affinity and he even found that he couldn't become a cultivator in any other non-pure Life Qi cultivations because his cells kept rejecting Life Qi, he returned to the Church disappointed at the waste of talent.

"This child cannot become a cultivator, his strange physique growing pace is shockingly fast and it could be said lucky yet it is also unfortunate, almost as if he is Blessed Yet Cursed.", these were the words of Master Rasin when he left.

His father was disappointed not at his child but his luck, although he had high expectations for both his children hoping for them to be cultivators, he was still thankful that one of his children was a cultivator and also he saw little Ihan being something great in the future from how smart he was, he could solve any problems given to him that some adults couldn't.

Little Ihan grew up and was 3 years old his physique advanced to a 4th Grade Knight and became aware of how the world worked while he immersed himself in reading almost half of the books in the large library of the mansion, he knew more of the world and memorized different knowledge of all sorts and languages of other races... etc, he went and searched for the thing that tugged on his mind the most as he remembered the disappointment from his father's face and that was stuff the word cultivation and he found that one can advance in realms and level up their realm then they can get strong enough to be called a god, there were 5 mentioned realms with their levels specified in the information little Ihan read, they were: Life Qi Realm(Levels: 6), Life Foundation Realm(Levels: 4), Life Core Realm(Levels: 4), Life Soul Realm(Levels: 4), Divine Spark Realm(Levels: 6).

Each realm had levels to it and one would achieve them then advance his realm, that was called cultivation, he knew he couldn't cultivate because the one that checked him was a strong cultivator of the Life Soul Realm called Master Rasin and the reason he was valued highly was known to him after he read that people who had a body with a Knight physique helped speed their cultivation according to their Grade, the Grade of Knight physique was simple with 6 Grades and people who had a high grade and could cultivate were called geniuses due to their speed and the strength of their bodies which was above average cultivators.

Little Ihan read that the general idea behind cultivation was that one needs to be able to absorb Life Energy and circulate it in the body which allowed the cells to strengthen first then store little Life Energy, and if you could do that then you can start cultivating and absorb more energy...

He kept reading and acquiring information while he learned more and more about the world, there were other races and creatures in this world other than humans, the most known races were: Dragon God Race, Sea Demons Race, Winged God Race, Fire God Race... etc, and creatures that were either not intelligent enough or had less population to be called a race there were too many to count but little Ihan could memorize ever single thing he read with a memory that wouldn't lose to a God.. well if he could challenge one.

Time went by and little Ihan was now 4 years old, it became a usual thing that his physique advanced to a 5th Grade Knight of course this was very shocking to everyone that could hear of it, but that was only known to his mother and father as they both kept it a secret from the public and not many people came in contact with little Ihan because he was always closed off in the library that became his dwelling place.

He read and read until one day he got an idea upon reading about magic formations and magic crafting and treasure making, he then searched for any information that had to do with external energy use, that idea was 'if I cant cultivate and use life energy through my body then couldn't I just use it externally through magic formations and magic crafted equipment and even the said treasures...', or so little Ihan thought.

He researched until he couldn't find any more books in the library then went to his father and said, "Father I want to learn magic formations and magic crafting, please can you find a teacher.".

His father Mirlad was shocked at first because this objective was even harder than cultivation but then again these things weren't known by a lot of people especially mortals and even Mirlad himself didn't read books about such things but he had a general idea about them, so he thought 'if it is little Ihan then I am sure he can do it' and he believed in his son as he saw that he was a smart kid.

Mirlad used his connections and was lucky enough to find a Low-Tier MasterCrafter called Urna, after a little bit of bribing for his 'connections', he finally could send a letter to request for MasterCrafter Urna to check little Ihan talent and accept him as a discipline for a very little price and this was extremely shocking that a MasterCrafter agreed to accept his request.

It needs to be known that the Low-Tier MasterCrafter Urna was a master-level crafter at magic formations and magic crafting that even cultivators respected because these people could make destructive formations that could kill a Life Core Realm cultivators or protective formations that could protect attacks at the same level, of course, that was only possible for masters at the level of Urna and this was considering he was a Low-Tier MasterCrafter, some cultivators would often buy magic formations or magic equipment that they called treasures and it would save their lives in the moment of life-threatening situations or seriously injure an enemy in battle, so just from that the importance of a MasterCrafter could be seen even by an ignorant man.

Urna made little Ihan do a simple test that could make a cultivator weep from the difficult of this simple yet useless task that they could do by simply lifting a finger, the task was to make a formation that would absorb a small amount of Life Energy into a white jade stone then self-destruct the said object.

He gave him some books about magic formations to study and take reference from and a bottle of white liquid with a brush for writing then he told him he would check on him in 1 week and if he couldn't do it by then he better give up.

Little Ihan took the books with great enthusiasm and read them carefully in 3 hours he understood the concept behind magic formations then he simply kept calculating while drawing inside his head how would the said simple circuit be done it was as if he had a lab inside his head that made it easy for him to research such things and after 4 hours passed he could finally write down the first magic formation simple circuit with the brush after dipping it inside the white liquid which made the white jade stone vibrate then shine with white light before self-destructing itself and all that was left was white sand.

Knock

MasterCrafter Urna was sitting in the small villa that Mirlad gave him to stay in when the sound of knocking came in.

"Come in.", said Urna in a calm but ancient voice.

Click

The door opened and showed little Ihan with a wide smile on his face while his red-dark eyes that shined with a mysterious light and his dark red hair that added to his perfect appearance that gave off the aura of youthfulness charm that would make girls entranced and also one which showed his excitement, he looked at the old man who's hair was white showing the marks of time.

Urna looked at the stuff in little Ihan's hand and his eyes went wide open as the excitement on little Ihan's face made him think that 'No way' but indeed he would be shocked because it hasn't even been a day since the task was given yet little Ihan completed it.

"Master I finished the task you gave me.", said Little Ihan with a voice that couldn't conceal his excitement as he stood respectfully in-font of Urna.

"A-Are you sure? Hurry take this jade and show me.", Urna took his open empty hand and a white jade appeared out of nowhere he then passed it to Little Ihan and said as the doubt was still shown on his face and his voice also showed a little excitement.

"Yes Master!", answered Little Ihan as he took the white jade stone entranced by how it appeared from nowhere, he took the white liquid bottle and the brush from his side bag then he carefully drew the simple circuit, it was the shape of a circle with some small squares intersecting between each other finished by a weird character that looked like a 'D' but quite different in the middle of them.

Buzzz Poof

The white jade stone started vibrating while a white light showed from it as it sucked some Life Energy from the surroundings then suddenly self-destructed and turned into white sand.

"U-Unbelievable... an efficient circuit and the quality of the enchanting white sand is very high.", muttered Urna as he found the things in front of his eyes unbelievable then he looked deeply at little Ihan before continuing in a serious voice, "Ihan are you willing to be my successor? I shall impart you with all my knowledge and the techniques I found so far.".

"Yes Master!", said little Ihan as he knelt in front of his new Master to pay his respect.

*Author's Notes*

Well, we are still in the explaining part but soon we will enter the "cool" stuff or so I say. *cries in a corner from the explaining that needs to be done and how I suck at it*

The word magic here doesn't necessarily mean some other different power, it's just that the word is used when Life Energy or any other Energy is used throughout other means than one's body which is different from cultivation.

Ps: My lacking vocabulary and grammar suck at some(or most of the) times so please excuse me, I would like to pass it to someone to proofread it but there is none.
