*Tessa*
I felt his presence in the room. So, I turned around to face him and took my earphones off.
" Look sweetie you have the total right to be mad , but there are a lot of secrets that I'm keeping from you , but it's for your own good" he softly said .
I sat there and didn't say a word .
" Trust me " He added.
I had no other choice.
" Soon everything will be revealed , but for now , please, don't leave me "
His voice cracked a bit.
I couldn't help but think,he was my father after all. I really couldn't lose someone that close to me. Not again.
" Dad I'm sorry. " I smiled.
" Come here sweetie, I got you a little something.... a final gift, I'd call it " dad said holding my hand and heading downstairs.
I was way too excited. Dad went toward the coach and grabbed a small black and red present.
" To my one and only princess " He bowed sarcastically.
I tore out the wrapping and finally reached to the bottom of it. It was a thick black copy book. It had this uneven piece of paper attached to it that said "Things I wanted to say but never did "
I simply smiled and hugged him
" I'm not gonna lie to you, but I thought about this too much before giving it to you " Dad said
" This is one of the very precious remains from Jessica. We were once going out and her eyes started to sparkle once she saw it, I know it's hard to believe since it's literally a blank black notebook, but you know your mom had extraordinary taste in everything " He continued.
My own eyes began to sparkle. Dad barely mentions mom, but when he does it makes my day to at least know anything about her. I hugged him deeply.
" It means the world to me, dad " It really did.
I closed my eyes and let myself sink into those comforting arms of his.
