The blonde man standing in front of the group called out to him.
"I heard you took good care of my little brother. I came to pay you back." [Blonde Man]
("Brother? Do I know anyone who has that?") [Adam]
A smaller figure appeared behind the man.
"It's been a while." [???]
"...Who're you?" [Adam]
"It's me! Luis!" [Luis]
"Oh… If you wanted a rematch, you could've waited until we were at school." [Adam]
Luis was practically fuming with anger.
"How dare…" [Luis]
The blonde man pat Luis on the head.
"It's fine. That's why I'm here." [Blonde Man]
"And you're Luis' older brother I'm assuming?" [Adam]
"Correct, I'll give you two choices. Either grovel before me and apologize for even daring to put up a fight against Luis, or get a beat down." [Blonde Man]
"What makes you think you can beat me? Luis is a year higher than me and I was basically even with him. If you haven't noticed, I've improved beyond that already." [Adam]
The blonde man crossed his arms and gave out a triumphant look.
"You're telling me like I don't have my gang with me." [Blonde Man]
"Yeah! Not only that, my brother is in the military!" [Luis]
Those words seemed to pique Sebastian's interest.
"Oh, really? Tell me, what squad are you in?" [Sebastian]
"Huh? Who're you?" [Blonde Man]
"I'm Sebastian." [Sebastian]
"That's not what I was asking. Who are you to interrupt my business." [Blonde Man]
"...Guess I'll just mind my own business." [Sebastian]
He turned around and continued eating.
("So Sebastian isn't going to support me…") [Adam]
"Before we fight, can I ask you something?" [Adam]
"I'll take them as your last words." [Blonde Man]
"Are you a title holder?" [Adam]
"...No, but I'm still enough to put you in your place." [Blonde Man]
"Pfft! AHAHAHAHAHAH!!!" [Felix]
Felix burst out laughing, slapping the table multiple times.
"I-I can't. Pfft! M-My stomach! AHAHAHA!!!" [Felix]
"What's so funny?!" [Blonde Man]
After a few seconds, Felix managed to calm down.
"Ah… You see, the guy you just dissed is my older brother." [Felix]
"You mean the wuss that's eating over there?" [Blonde Man]
"Yeah, him. You see, he's also in the military." [Felix]
The blonde man scoffed at them.
"Humph. Must be some chump." [Blonde Man]
"Thing is… that so-called chump, is a title holder." [Felix]
The blonde man looked shocked for a moment, but he recovered quickly.
"That's a bluff. No title holder would act like that." [Blonde Man]
Sebastian decided to jump into the conversation again.
"I'm not the only title holder in this restaurant by the way." [Sebastian]
The blonde man scanned the room, but was visibly confused.
"I don't see anyone else except a little girl." [Blonde Man]
Aurora twitched.
"What… did you say about me...?" [Aurora]
("Oh no…") [Adam]
"Oh crap." [Felix]
Felix and Adam immediately backed away. Aurora turned around to face the blonde man.
"I was going to let you guys go, even if you beat up Adam… But calling me a little girl is unforgivable." [Aurora]
The blonde man looked terrified.
"B-boss?! What are you doing here?!" [Blonde Man]
("Boss?") [Adam]
"Oh? If it isn't little Caleb. I heard you were relocated somewhere, but I didn't think you would be here fooling around." [Aurora]
Caleb was sweating profusely.
"N-no, I'm not fooling around! M-my little brother begged me to help him. I-I'm sorry for i-intruding on your meal." [Blonde Man]
("I have never seen a grown man so terrified before...") [Adam]
"I wouldn't be surprised if he wet himself." [Krino]
("Oh, you're here.") [Adam]
"Just enjoying the show, don't mind me." [Krino]
Caleb bowed his head deeply.
"If you'll excuse me, I'll head out first." [Caleb]
"Huh? But what about Adam?" [Luis]
Those words seemed to shave off a few years of Caleb's life.
"You Idiot!" [Caleb]
"Ow!" [Luis]
Caleb punched the top of Luis' head, and bowed once more.
"I'm sorry for the trouble my brother has caused you, we'll be leaving now." [Caleb]
Right before he left, Aurora called out to him.
"Wait." [Aurora]
"Eep!" [Caleb]
He turned around slowly with a nervous smile on his face.
"I-is there anything I can help you with…?" [Caleb]
Aurora pointed her index finger downwards.
"Apologize to the waitress." [Aurora]
Caleb looked down to see Mia still on the floor. He held out a hand to help her up. Afterwards, he bowed once again.
"I'm so so sorry for the trouble I have caused you." [Caleb]
"N-no it's fine." [Mia]
After his apology, Caleb took Luis and his group outside.
"Dang~ Look at you go Aurora." [Adam]
"It's nothing really." [Aurora]
Adam and Felix returned to their seats and continued eating.
"Hey, Sebastian." [Adam]
"Hm?" [Sebastian]
"What was that about another title holder in this restaurant?" [Adam]
"Didn't Aurora tell you? She's also a title holder." [Sebastian]
"Don't tell them." [Aurora]
"Why not?" [Sebastian]
"It's not cute." [Aurora]
"Roy likes it though." [Sebastian]
Aurora's expression changed in a strange way.
"If… he says so… then you can tell them…" [Aurora]
("No way… No freaking wayyyy!!!") [Adam]
"Huh, so she likes Roy. Nice to know." [Krino]
("I can't believe someone actually likes Roy. Of all people, she had to pick him.") [Adam]
"Don't judge her tastes, that's not very nice." [Krino]
Sebastian turned back to Adam.
"Her title is Untouchable. But in HQ we call her- Bweh!" [Sebastian]
Aurora slammed his face into his plate.
"How about you savor your food instead of talking, hm?" [Aurora]
"Ruthless…" [Felix]
Sebastian lifted his face out of the plate, sauce was smeared all over his face.
"Give me a moment." [Sebastian]
In an instant, the sauce disappeared. It looked like his face sucked it in.
"That… was somewhat weird…" [Adam]
"I only used my absorb ability on it. I got all the nutrients from it, but I can't really taste it that way." [Sebastian]
After they ate, they went home after saying goodbye to the bar master and Mia.
"Man~ today was a blast." [Adam]
"I wouldn't mind going again for another party." [Felix]
"We'll go if you win something again." [Sebastian]
"Doesn't seem too hard." [Adam]
"You're going to have to prove you have the ability to back that up." [Sebastian]
"Hahaha, guess you're right." [Adam]
As soon as they arrived home, Adam immediately went to his room. He laid in his bed lost in thought.
("My eyes feel pretty tired… Is it because I woke up early today?") [Adam]
As he drifted off to sleep, he had one final thought.
