Looking at his daughter acting like a dork was a first for him, and for the whole family, so they were all trying to be stealthy as they spied, but it was ultimately a fool's errand, the girl being too strong for their measily attempts.
After some time, Aki finally gained permission to set a teleportation anchor on the capital, on the teleportation hub of course, but he could finally go back and forth officially. One more day spent organizing the household matters, a bit of bathing in acid and drinking only fruit flavored poison, he maxed out his current job, then the party went for a long delve after leaving Clair in the academy with Kora as her 'maid'.
Or so they said, but turns out, being a dungeon master (not the job) has plenty of perks that have nothing to do with the dungeon you have control of. They gain partial control when they clear a floor, meaning you can teleport to the entrace of any floor you passed without problems. And that extends to the whole party if you have one, because to a dungeon the diference between one and a hundred people inside it's territory moving to another part of it really isn't anything mentionable.
When Aki explained this, everyone but Xera were completly surprised and even in a bit of denial. After all, nevermind it's usefulness, that is one of the A-rank adventurer perks people can choose from.
So the actual plan was to go inside the A-rank dungeon, quickly clear it, which the party did in five days despite the fifty floors, and teleport back to the great forest so they can ravage every dungeon they find while bringing each and every dungeon they could under their control. Considering Sera was almost reaching a satisfacting level of power, they ussed the chance to go on a road trip to the other side of the continent, bringing any reasonable monster tribes back with them.
More importantly though...
"Clair would definetly like playing on this waterfall."
"I can force the illusional effects on this lake to activate whenever, so It will be a beautifull sight whenever we want. Just don't let the girls talk to the spirit on it, it's very foul mouthed."
"Here, let me ward this historic ruin so we can explore it later."
"This is definetly the place where a evil god was sealed, lets come back when we are strong enough to beat it while showing off."
Aki had his gamer senses and otherworlder luck guiding him through tons of interesting places. As the kind of man that would completly explore skyrim twice and complete simphony of the night at 200% even if there was only one square lacking in the map, of course he was able to detect each and every secret passage along the way.
The only real problem was that they had to disguise themselves or lots of 'someones' would find out about them. While it was important hiding some things from the gods, the world at large wasn't nearly as welcoming to kin, nevermind demis and sentient monsters as the kingdom of Moonlith, which they resided in.
There were other two countries of relevant size and influence, neither of which Aki cared enough to remenber the name of unless they started a war, in which case he needed them to properly say who he destroyed on his pay check, but one was even more discriminatory even if tecnically accepting of others while the other was a human supremasist empire.
One might think such things were not so easy to happen when there were actual gods sending messages every other day, their churches having literal power just as much as influence over things. Unfortunely, there was actually no one else in the current day and age that could look at a god as easily as Aki could, but even with people that can actually receive proper divine messages in power, the churches couldn't just change what the population thought when so many people fought and killed each other, forgot their teachings so easily or plain just didn't consider the gods as something relevant to their lives.
Of course they knew of the benefits of prayer and public imagene, but it was the diference between regularly exclaiming 'sweet baby jesus' and regularly praying all days before sleeping or eating. To a farmer in the middle of nowhere, a C-rank mage is even better than a god for all they are interested.
Excuses asside, there were plenty of powers competing with the gods' dogmas. Merchants, kings and lots of mages. Be it from their own attempts at claiming some sort of power or simply from a missplaced sense of superiority, the prejudice was still there.
Which is exactly why people looked strangely at the party of one 'half giant', cat kin, 'lizard kin' and human when they tried to enter a town with a mercenary ID, which Aki had faked after robbing some bandits of their own.
Sera felt strange not having her fangs produting and having a chocolate colored skin, but there wasn't anything else to it, so she just shrugged. Until she notised how her lovers were looking at her, but by then there was no escape anymore.
Xera simply had her scales and hair colored a crimsom red and a deep orange, getting plenty of compliments on how her eyes contrasted with them. Her spear took on a diferent pattern and color too, but was otherwise the same
Mari asked for raven black hair and procedded to mess with it until she had her bangs almost covering one of her eyes and falling to her left side. She always had way more than the two daggers she carried on her waist, so she just changed those and voila.
Aki combed his hair, made it shine golden, turned his eyes baby blue, changed his smiling face for a serious one and shaved off a bit of his musculature, making himself leaner before doning a steel armor that shined against the morning sun and a long rapier. It'd been his turn on being jumped when he showed off.
Entering the city was relatively easy, the mercenary guild being even laxer than the adventurer's, but the amount of attention they got was quite irritating, nevermind the irony of having the husband that got the 'law enforcer' perk having no way to use it.
At first they ignored the people trying to start a fight, but one of then ended up tripping by himself, which seemed to actually trigger the other five guys around for some reason, so when they got their weapons out, Aki just straight out pierced their skulls, got up, put the corpses inside a storage pouch and scrubbed the floor clean of blood with a mop he took out of the same pouch.
All of that in front of the inn patrons of the place they'd been at. The whole place seemed terrified of him, not making a sound. He theatrically looked at his party, before getting some looks back and sighing.
"Everyone here can attest that those guys took their weapons out for no
reason, right? Then there shouldn't be any difference if you tell the guards about tonight, end of discussion." He said, sitting again and putting a illusion over their table so everyone would see him getting looks as he calmly ate.
In reality, his wives were commenting about the skit, Aki soaking the praise and giving out pointers to his more expressive companions.
He'd changed jobs sometimes through this trip already, namely 'Delver, apprentice actor, knight, magic knight, holy knight, demonic knight and death knight', all of which were stupidly easy to raise with the amount of monsters they were killing daily, though the actor job had been instantly maxed out for past performances, but both Xera and Mari did the same, the sudden attribute growth and skill level ups coming as quickly for them as it came for their lover after they accumulated so many bonuses. Sera felt a bit left out, but ultimately decided to train harder so she could get it over with faster.
Right now he was a 'monster hunter' who'd gotten some new skills and hadn't actually faced a monster. More importantly to him though, he was three forths of the way to having a hundred jobs.
The next day, in the closest dungeon to the town they had been.
"So, who wants to go rob all the assholes in that place blind?!" He exclaimed, getting wry looks from his audience, including the demon donkey and the cat shaped slime who was sleeping on the roof of the wagon they brought along. "C'mon guys, we're already in another country, and even if you all don't really mind I still accumulate stress and anger from all the looks and thoughts." He announced, sighing and turning invisible. "Just wait for the portal I will make, ok?"
It took only some fifteen minutes to run back, Aki's targets decided by his wives' general dislike of his more uncaring attitude towards beings he didn't see as people.
Translating, they didn't like when he treated life like a game, so he'd never actually went on a murder hobo rage.
This was about to change thanks to the general dislike of people in that nameless city over his beautiful lovers.
That young master that wanted to have his way with Sera? Thrown in his basement.
The father of that young master who'd decided to try and ambush them so they could enslave everyone? Thrown in his basement.
The mother of that young master who wanted to torture him while they played with his wives? Enslaved and mind wiped.
Just the fact they were on a family outing to buy tools for the ocassion was very convenient for him, but just the opossite for the slave merchant who he enslaved and robed blind, leaving only the actual building behind since some things could be recycled.
As for the actual slaves around? He 'robed' all of them away too, of course. They'd be processed and integrated into his domain according to their skills, age and reason to be a slave.
Aki was quite sure plenty would be 'freed', accruing a debt to him and his government. He didn't enjoy having slaves like some nobles would, but it was a fact they were useful. That he was actually helping people was good in his books, but since he had literally stolen them, there was no way he could just let them go.
As an experienced looter, Aki only took about two hours to find the bigger aglomeration of riches, and though he doubted he'd stolen every slave in the city, there were some good hundreds huddled in the dungeon nearby.
Some more jumps, and all the people he brought were on his teleportation platform in Duran, Mara and other officials already in wait for receiving 'the goods'.
Voila, he gained hundreds of millions of XP points.
Not in monster hunter, that'd be weird, but in the several jobs he unlocked by robbing a whole city.
Thief Lv 100. Raider Lv 100. Smuggler Lv 100.
Good bonuses asside, Aki finally gained one very useful skill, which yes, had job requirements for acquisition. Treasure sense was something he'd wanted for a while now since it'd reduce his workload with recognizance by a lot.
There was still some XP left, but even if he got ten unlawfull jobs he'd be unable to select the multiplicative job from it's tree thanks to his relation to the god of law, nevermind that most would not actually be as usseful, with the possible exemption of the 'Spy' job, but that one simply needed more XP to cap, so he just left the rest to simmer on his various XP banks, which was quite advantegeus to him since his soul was big and powerful enough to safely store everything he still had indefinetly.
He considered getting the slaver job just to cap it and passively getting XP from some other slave related job, but 'Monster hunter' was already getting quite the negative from his disregard to it, so he decided to do it later, maybe finally get those crafting classe too? He had the whole vacation to think about it anyway, so the order didn't matter.
