Day 1 in the nursing home:
'Well, crying helped to release stress. Ok now I am calm. Let's think straight. Am I dead ? I didn't feel anything, no pain, nothing in my condition. Then how? Let's don't jump on the conclusion. Maybe I am dreaming. Yeah I must dreaming. Am I fooling myself? Is my brain playing with me? Even so, did I dream this? It feels almost like the reality. Am I imagining this? It looks so vivid, so colorful, so spirited. Do I have an amazing imagination ability? I need to confirm if this is the reality. Then, time to some action.'
Rose raised her arms and looked at them carefully. She saw two white little chubby arms. A white cloth was covering her arms. There was a wristband on her left wrist. The wristband was silver color and there are three books pictures in a raw in the middle of wrist band. She waved her arms randomly. Then she hold her right hand with her left hand and tried to pinch herself. She looked at her fingers. Then she released her hands and tried to make a fist on her hands but being a baby, even this was a hard job. Then she took her hand to her mouth and tried to taste it and bit it. But since she didn't have any tooth now, she couldn't. She was more dismal after every action she took.
From a little far, head nurse was watching her. ' It seems she is hungry. It's time to test.'
' I feel these. I can't make a pinch or can't bit now. But it feels real. Am I a baby now? Am I a boy or a girl?'
She tried to reach her crotch area but couldn't reach there because her arms was short. It was vexing for her.
'Wait. Am I a human now? Figures I saw resembles to human so I must be, right? I also don't understand their language but since they talk, they must be intelligent beings,right? This is the real...' Her worries started to took over her logic little by little.
The head nurse came to her and took her while she was thinking deeply. " It's the feeding time. Little Rose will get her stomach filled." The nurse took her another room in the place.
Rose was feeling a breakdown. Her mind was filled possibilities and loses. Her eyes were getting full of tears and the bleakness every step the nurse took.
' My life. my previous life. All of them, my relationships, my assets, my status... Everything is gone now. What's left to me? Nothing... Oh my sorrowful past and my bleak future.'
There was 3 people in the room. One of them was on a couch, reading a book while another one was preparing something on a table. It looked like the third one was writing some reports. The head nurse put her on one of the table and turn towards the writing one and said:
"Code number is 344599. Rose, level 5 poison gatherer. Illness is none. Health condition is well. Higher-ups wants us give special attention."
" Oh, rumored newcomer. Ok. Fred organize her diet. Since higher-ups wants, you start by giving her course B. Windy, take extra attention on her reaction."
" Roger Raph." "Roger."
Fred stopped what his doing and took some food out of that closet. He began to work. Yellow lights was coming from his hands. Lights condensed and shaped as different kinds of foods. Then the lights vanished and the foods materialized on the table where the lights vanished. He was preparing little Rose's food. Not a minute past, he finished his job and gave a bottle that filled with the. " Here, it is."
Head nurse took the food that is in the bottle. Windy closed the book and composed his sitting position. Then green lights emerged from his body and they moved in front of his eyes and started to take shape of different gadgets. He looked at the baby carefully from these shinny gadgets and gave the head nurse an ok sign. Head nurse nodded and then she fed Rose with the bottle and made her drink the content. Then she gave some stomach massage with her hand that gives orange lights. Rose, being depressed, didn't see or feel her surrounding. She drank the content and didn't feel any taste.
Rose hair was black color at birth. Now you can see that some of her hair was different color but it wasn't a hair dye.
After she drank her food, a few of her black hairs started to shine and color of her hairs changed from black to brown.
Windy took great notice of her condition and said:
" Wow, she is amazing. Her body didn't even give reaction that I must considered. She took it as a normal food. She must be really a good gatherer. I think I don't need to point out because even you can see the differences."
Raph heard this and wrote the report.
"Ok, good. Then next time, Fred, increase the dosage. Any other thing you must say Windy? If not, Heater you can took her back."
"None. She is stable. Didn't see any reaction in her body against the food. It's a pass."
"Roger sir. Come little Rose. Let's get you to your crib and your siblings." The head nurse put on Rose's wristband on her left hand and she took Rose back to nursing room.
Heater put Rose to her bed, took another awake baby with her and went out.
Rose was feeling conflicts. She probably dead before and now she is a newborn on another foreign place, with foreign beings. She was incapable to do anything in current, she didn't know anything in her situation and even thinking these gave her headaches.
Yeah it was a new beginning but while your life was going good, who would want a new beginning? You would feel like someone robbed your life. Being victim always gives bad memories. While she was struggling with her gloomy feelings, she didn't realize that she wetted herself.
When a nurse was passing by Rose, she smelt an odour that came from Rose. She knitted her eyebrows, paused then looked around. When she spotted the source, she said to Carry: "Carry, change the Rose's diapers. She smells."
"Coming!"
Carry came and began to change her diapers. When Rose felt that she is manhandled and someone is touching and cleaning her, she started to cry loudly:
"Waaa, waaaa, waaaaaaa…"
'I can't do anything. Mommy, daddy. Even someone else take advantage of my incapability. I can't even control my bladder. Waaaaa.'
" Shh, little Rose, shhhh. I am done. You are clean. Don't cry anymore. Look here little. A tiny finger. Shhhh. Why are you crying? You are full and you under is dry and clean. Do you have gases in your belly? Shh, I will massage and make it go away, shh."
Rose fall asleep while she was crying and Carry felt relieve because she finally stopped to cry.
