Chapter 29 - Part 2: Ready And There At The Party

Chapter 29

I gently pulled out some dresses, picturing Mary in my mind, seeing if any of the dresses fit her. As it turns out, she could probably wear a trash bag and be able to rock it like it's nobody's business.

I picked out a black long slender dress, with long flowing sleeves, it was floor-length, then I chose 4-inch black heels.

I walked out of the closet, carrying the dress and heels, I walked over to Mary, sighing, "Hey Mary, I chose a dress."

Mary smiled, "Thank you, Avery, I'll try it on after Adam's choice."

Mary took off her clothes and carefully slid on Adam's dress choice for her. It was a light pink, flowy dress, it made Mary look like a fairy tale princess. In other words, she was beautiful.

Mary put on the white heels, she smiled, "Adam, this is a very lovely outfit."

Adam smiled, "Thank you, Mom. You look so beautiful in that dress. Doesn't she Avery?"

I smiled, nodding, "Yep, beautiful, like a fairy tale princess."

Mary smiled, "I think I look to old to be a princess. Maybe the evil stepmother. Hahaha."

Adam smiled, "No Mom, you look barely 30. You could probably pass as my older sister."

Mary smiled, "If you say so, Darling. I'm going to try on Avery's outfit choice for me now."

She slipped on the dress, it hugged her curves perfectly, she nodded her approval, smoothing her hands over the dress, "Hmm, it fits me perfectly, it also brings out my eyes, making them look brighter." She slipped on the heels, "I like this outfit very much, Avery. You have a very good taste in clothing, Darling."

I blushed a little at the compliment, shrugging, "Meh, my clothing choices aren't that good, it is just that everything looks good on you, Mary."

Mary smiled, before replying, "Thank you, Darling. I made a decision, I like both your outfit choices equally, but I already have one Avery's choice, so I'm just going to keep wearing this one. Is that okay with you two?"

I shrugged, "I don't mind."

Adam sighed, "Okay, Mom, whatever you want."

Adam's mother smiled, "Okay Darlings, put on your dresses, and then let's start on the makeup."

Adam and I slowly put on our dresses, once we were done, Mary was already starting on her make up.

Adam sat next to her at the vanity, advising her, "Mom, for the eyes shadow, maybe you should try a maroon or a dark color."

Mary smiled, "Okay Adam if you say so, Darling."

I sat next to them, having no idea what to do, Adam turned toward me, "Avery, start on your Moisturizer, the primer, then apply the liquid foundation, then the concealer, and then make sure to apply the foundation powder. I'll do the rest for you."

I fumbled my way through the steps, making sure I did all of them correctly, I asked Adam after every step.

When I finished my part of the job, Adam was already done with his own makeup and Mary was just drawing in some eyeliner.

Adam got started on my face, he told me, "I'm going to put some bronzer on you first, then just a little bit of blush, after that some highlighter, and then..." I tuned out after that.

Adam applied my make up quickly and efficiently, often pulling back to see if he had done anything wrong and sometimes asking me to do something so he could apply some more makeup on my face.

By the time he was done, my face felt so much heavier, but it didn't feel as weird as it did the first time, I wore makeup.

Adam did our hair quickly and then gave himself a wig with a perfect high ponytail. My hair was put in two french braids and Mary's was put into a bun at the top of her head, drawing attention to her slender neck.

Mary went downstairs to welcome the guests while Adam and I made sure there were no imperfections anywhere on us, or at least Adam did, I just sat there looking at my reflection, thinking, I look so different, I could barely recognize myself.

Adam said, "Okay, I'm done, let's go down to the party."

I followed Adam down the stairs, to the 1st floor. We opened the door and stepped into the party.

And thus, I was in a party, I had no idea what to do at if it wasn't for Adam dragging me everywhere around the party.
