In this dark apartment with only the opened front door to serve as a beacon of light, it's as if a storm razed through the room. Items and woman shoes scattered about, broken glass shards litter the dirty floor. Droplets of dry blood led a thin trail toward one of the bedrooms.
Xiao Bao distractedly followed the trail while muttering, "that's my room…" As if a voice was calling to him, Xiao Bao floated through the door to his room.

Instead of trailing Xiao Bao, Chu Nuan went to explore the other room.
Contrary to the devastation outside, the inside of this room is clean and neat. Women's clothing is folded neatly in the half opened closet and rows of makeup products are placed orderly in a nearby dressing table. White walls with pictures of Xiao Bao are placed all over the room, a woman in her 30's is in some of the pictures. Gentle brown eyes with a sunny smile. Her dark brown hair seems to flutter in the wind, this must be Xiao Bao's mother.
"How long will you stare at me?" Chu Nuan asked without turning around. She can feel a burning gaze from behind.
Xie Luochen pursed his lips before asking once again. "Who are you?"
The woman standing in front of the dressing table paused for a moment before whispering. " Chu Nuan. I am Chu Nuan."
Not waiting for Xie Luochen to process her answer, Chu Nuan turned around to face him with a playful smile. " Could it be that daoist Xie has never seen an envoy before?" She slowly walked towards Xie Luochen. "Someone proficient in catching and exorcising ghosts should have had dealings with an envoy before." Standing in front of him, she raised her right hand to trace his jawline. Feeling the man in front of her clench his teeth as if enduring something, she lightly laughed. Her eyes flicker as if the starry sky, causing him to stare in trance.
She pressed closer to him, chest against chest as her right arm snaked around his neck, pulling his face towards her. "Since it's daoist Xie's first time, I don't mind being gentle with you."
The air around the room starts to subtlety change. Just as Chu Nuan decided to stop teasing him, she felt something tightening around her waist. A powerful arm slightly lifts her up, making her stand on her toes.
Xie Luochen's eyes gleam dangerously as he leans closer to the woman in front of him. "Oh? Envoy Chu looks so modest. Who can expect her to be so brave." He said with a cold smile, a knife placed inches from her neck.
Of course Chu Nuan can sense the danger of cold steel behind her. But instead of feeling scared, her smile grew wider. Her eyes narrowed seductively, bending her waist backwards purposely, her neck directly touched the tip of the blade.
She tilted her head slightly, eyes still glued to his, "the night is still young, I can only hope daoist Xie can be gentle with me."
Xie Luochen stares at the woman in his embrace. His eyes wander from her forehead down to her lips. As if searching for something, but searching for what? Even Xie Luochen himself hasn't figured it out yet. From the moment he laid eyes on this woman in front of him, like a drop of water falling into a still lake, he was unable to calm himself.
And that image that slipped past, was it only an illusion? Or something else. Just as Xie Luochen contemplated silently, he felt a soft pat to his shoulder. Moving his sight back to those bright eyes, he waited for her to speak.
Seeing that she has his attention now, Chu Nuan smilied brightly. " If daoist Xie has plans to do something, you should do it quickly." One of her fingers points to the dagger pressed against her neck. "Otherwise, when Xiao Bao comes back, you might get censored~," she winked playfully.
