Of course, I would never kill a student…
"I guess seeing as you lost it could be considered mocking. But I meant it as just praise." I tried to salvage the conversation.
"Sure." She walked off and her parents came over to apologize. After 10 minutes of waiting at the entrance, the Headmaster decided to start the tour but before he could I wanted to ask him about the dragons.
"Headmaster, are you sure there are enough dragons to give to the parents and students?" He shook his head.
"It's only on rare occasions a dragon chooses a human before seeing them in combat so we don't have to worry about that. Would you mind staying near the entrance in case someone comes late?" I nodded and waited at the entrance as everyone else went off to the tour. After about 20 minutes a carriage pulled up, quite different from the earlier ones seeing as those carried the insignia of their respective house or no insignia at all, while this one carried the insignia of the royal family…
It displayed a white wolf with purple highlights leaping out of a fire of the same color. The symbol of the Lycan family the heirs to the throne of Alexandrite Kingdom. I doubted that I'd ever see that symbol again. My stomach churned as way too many memories came up. The King, his wife, and their child walked out of the carriage.
The King had his signature obsidian black hair and sky blue eyes. He had short ruffled hair as if he couldn't care less about his appearance. He was wearing a purple fur coat that covered plated armor of the same color. He was around 6'2". I was tempted to behead the King and wipe the smirk off his face as his head rolled on the floor like…
My eyes darted to the left where his wife was in an attempt to not follow through with my fatal plan. She had dark brown eyes and brown hair tied in a burn. She seemed quite happy with her arm holding on to the King's. She was wearing a formal purple one-piece dress that left little to the imagination. Even with high heels, she fell 3 inches short of the King.
Their daughter, and unfortunately for me, my future student stood to the right of the King. She inherited his hair and eye color, though her hair was shoulder length. She was wearing a purple skirt and a long-sleeved white shirt. She was around 5'5". Before they could reach the entrance It seemed we were interrupted by the sound of a dragon flying towards the King.
It wasn't very pleasant to find that I was in the same category as the king in… anything. Not a person alive I despised more, though I didn't understand why he did it. I find him irremediable to matter what the reason. He…
The King made it to the Entrance and I begrudgingly bowed.
"Welcome King, I'm terribly sorry but the Headmaster went and started the tour without you. But it would be an honor to show you around." His smile almost looked sincere.
"That would be great. I'm also wondering if the Dragon comes with the tour." He lets out a hearty laugh, that received a laugh from his wife.
"Though we weren't intending for a Dragon to bond with a guest I'm sure the Headmaster won't mind. You must have done a fair bit of fighting in your time before becoming a king. On the same note I was wondering why you don't have a guard, are you that confident?" He laughed.
"Yes, I graduated from an academy like I hope my daughter does." I nodded and did my tour. Despite the fact, I was ready to kill him. Near the end of the tour we met up with the Headmaster's group and we joined up. I decided to leave seeing as I might actually lash out at the King if I see his face any longer. I went to my office to read a book until it was pretty late and
I slept.
Not another dream. This one happened when I was around 14, 1 year into my internship with Almadina, little did I know would it be my last.
I had learned most of the basics of Magic and Swordsmanship, we were now residing in the main city of Alexandrite where she said she wanted to do something there. As I was going toward her room in the hotel we stayed as I heard some ruckus near my window. I looked outside at the town square and saw there was someone strapped to a guillotine with dark green hair…
Almadina! I Burst the window open with air magic and jumped through it. With some Air Magic, I managed to not break my legs. I pushed through the crowd and found that I was right. Though the Executioner surprised me. It seemed to be the King. He had his name plastered all over the City seeing as he ascended to the throne rather recently. So why would he?
He was holding onto the string that would end Almadina's life. I charged him as he let go of the string, the blade coming closer to Almadina's neck. I was using Light Magic to speed myself up but I wasn't that good at it yet.
Maybe if I spent less time playing around, being angry at Almadina's strength. if I had tried harder to catch up to her, maybe she wouldn't have... it wouldn't have… ended this way!
The guillotine sliced Almadina's head with a thud. I had made it by the time that Almadina's head rolled on the stone floor. If I was godly at Light Magic I might be able to reconnect all her nerves, but I'm not. I turned toward the King. I swiped my arm at him, releasing as much Mana as I hand in a stream of Fire Magic. The King turned and fire barely affected his coat.
"Don't beat yourself up over it kid. It was inevitable…" I swiped my sword at him. I refused to believe that she had to die! The King seemed to move so fast, one second he was turned around the next he had his fist thrust into my stomach.
