Chapter 10 - Entrance Exam!

Timeskip to Entrance Exam Day, Friday the 4th of September

I woke up once again. I went over to the Headmaster's office and knocked on the door. He answered and I saw him once again with his morning hair.

"Hello Headmaster, I was wondering when the Entrance Exam is going to begin?" He yawned.

"It's going to start at 9:00 though I don't know when it's going to end, it usually only lasts 1 hour."

"Thanks, would you like me to get the rest of the Professors?" I had talked to most of the other Professors over the week. Though It wasn't more than the occasional 'Hi' at the cafeteria when talking to Jeremy. The occasional threat from Jade, and the occasional nightly excursion to fight monsters. (A/N: Definitely just monsters 😏.)

"It's fine, I'll handle that. You should just make sure that your part of the exam is ready." I didn't need to go outside to check since I could feel my Magic outside. I went back to my room and glanced at the clock. How do I always wake up at 6 o'clock? Maybe it's because I was so excited at the fact Almadina was training me. Even after her death, I woke up that early to practice every day.

I didn't continue reading the book about monsters since I finished it yesterday. There was a book about Alchemy so I decided to grab it. It was written by the same person that read the monster book. Newton Artemis Fido Scamander (A/N: That's actually his full name). It was about the Magical Effects of the monster's body parts in his other book.

I didn't finish the book as the clock was at 8:57. I quickly went to the entrance of the Academy. Ferro had raised her cage the night before after the parents left. I'm guessing that the written exam was in the Academy. After a long time, I could see 531 students had piled up at the Academy's Entrance. I heard the Headmaster speak up.

"I see all of you here hope for the chance to become a student and eventually graduate at this Academy. This Entrance Exam is not going to be easy. But that does not mean that you should give up. All of you have a chance at entering this Academy. The first part of this Exam is going to be a written Exam, so follow." I inwardly chuckled at Jeremy, wondering what class he was teaching.

After about an hour people started filling out. I went over to the Headmaster.

"How are we going to grade them so quickly." He laughed.

"Magic." He had a few pieces of paper in his hand, and to my surprise, he started calling out the names of the people he passed. Why is that surprising? What if someone just lied about who they are? Somehow the Headmaster always knew when someone was lying. That wasn't any Magic I knew, so I guess he had some really good intuition. Is that why the professors were so upfront when they were introducing themselves. Just who is Garrick Anderson?

I learned the name of the 3 students that I was betting on passing the whole Exam. The first was the girl that Holly had overworked and cried, she was Emilia Haggard. The lightning girl was called Isabella Rawlings. The King's daughter was Zina Lycan. I wasn't too happy that Zina had managed to pass the written Exam.

After everyone who failed left there seemed to be about 64 people left. I started dispelling my extra clones as Ferro stepped up next to the Headmaster. He cleared her throat and everyone turned to her.

"The next Exam will be a simple game of catch. Each of you will be given a bag then Chuchu's in the cage will be released. After all the Chuchu's make it to the forest you'll have 1 minute to catch a Chuchu and bring it back here. Alive." She started handing out the nets. I started changing the color of my clones to match that of the trees, then I scratched my head. I went up to Ferro.

"No offense but I think this part of the Exam is rather easy if you give them Mana absorbing bags." She turned toward me.

"Who said they were Mana absorbing bags?" She winked at me. She opened the cage and the Chuchu started charging toward the forest, which would've left me from a few days ago puzzled. But I read about it in my book. They decide to flee when they have less than half Mana. I guess that the cage had some Mana absorbing properties. Chuchu did have high Mana restoration so they should still be able to fight by the time they had reached the forest.

The students started running towards the forest, though some idiots thought they'd have enough time to 'slow' each other down by fighting, Ferro told me not to interfere and I say that she was laughing at them, which was disturbing.

"One Minute is up!" There were 41 people left, most of them showing visible signs of scratches as their respective Chuchu's struggled in their bags. Most of the bags seemed to be falling apart as well, but that didn't stop Ferro from congratulating the winners. I decided to talk to the Headmaster. Hopefully, I will stop having to ask him questions every second.

"Headmaster, why are we going to just have first years?" He nodded his head.

"Unfortunately most people stick with the academy they first choose. Since there are 4 years in this school curriculum it's going to take that long until we fill out the school. I'd like there to be just one class since we only have 4 professors. Hopefully, your Exam is hard." He patted me on the back as I realized that it was my turn to say my part of the Exam.

I dispelled my clones until there was 41 and brought them out of the forest after changing their colors back to what I was wearing.

"It's quite simple as you can see behind you. I've decided to clone myself. Each of you will be paired with one of my clones and you'll spar against them. If you manage to hit my clone you pass the Exam." I heard someone speak up in front of me.

"YOU CLONED YOURSELF!!" What a complete idiot.
