When both Arushi and Jia entered, the whole office seemed hustle and bustle. Looking at them confusingly, Arushi went towards her boss's cabin as she knew that his son "Aarav" is coming today. She knocked and after hearing his boss's "come in" she opened the door. To her surprise, Harish seemed so cheerful than usual and looked at her with a lovely smile. Yes, Harish and Arun are the Managing Directors of PS Designs while Arushi and Jia are their Personal Assistants.
"Good morning Sir" she said sweetly.
"Very Good morning Arushi" he reciprocated with his smile.
She simply stared at him with a glint in her eyes.
"What, you know that my son is joining today" he tried to cover up for being caught by her.
"Yes Sir, how can I forget it" saying this she had a look on the well framed snap on his desk which is the same picture as in Aarav's room. She knew that he loves his son very much. She could easily say that with the way he expresses it in his eyes.
"Arushi, arrange for a meeting at 10.00am, I have asked him to come that time, okay" he said softly.
"Okay Sir" she replied him with a smile.
"Arushi, so what are you going to tell me today" he asked her excitedly.
She took the moment and narrated the whole market area incident. He just listened to her calmly. This is their usual routine where she shares her funny encounters to Harish. He just loves the way she delivers them. It was very refreshing to him. After finishing it…
"Sir, I was right, right" she asked him with a beaming smile.
"Yes Arushi, am really very proud of you" saying this he stood and tapped her shoulder gently. They shared a father-daughter bonding and everyone knew it too.
With that she left his cabin and went towards Jia's cubical. On reaching her cabin, Jia stood and came to her.
"Arushi, you know, just now I heard that "Aarav" is a very strict and rude person, do you have any idea of how he looks, I mean any of his snap in Harish Sir cabin" she said in a go which earned a smile from Arushi as usual.
"Really" she took her information and continued "yeah I think I have seen him, in that group photo" she said innocently.
"Oh Arushi, that one, I too have seen many times" she said to her.
"No yaar, I didn't want to pry, about him, you know, Sir already misses his sweet wife, but one thing he has said that he's is in London, obviously now he must have returned" she cleared her.
"Hey, what's going on here" Adi interrupted them with a sweet smile.
"Hi" both Arushi and Jia greeted him together.
Jia blushed and instantly got elbowed by Arushi which made her to return to her senses. Adi is the Project Manager of PS Designs. Jia lost her balance and Adi caught her. Yes, that was their typical first meeting and obviously Jia liked him from that moment. Adi sees both Arushi and Jia in a friendly way.
"Just we were talking about Aarav" she spilled it with a light smile.
"What, you were talking about Narav, just stay away from him, am warning you two early just for your safety" Arjun almost frightened them with his reply.
"What?" Arushi was clearly taken aback.
"Yes, Bhai is a very strict and cold person, so don't even dream to mess with him" he warned them gently though it had its own effect on them especially with Arushi.
She felt something is not right, by the way her stomach twisted in her. Arjun is the Head of Design. Both Adi and Arjun instantly liked Arushi when she joined them along with Jia. Arjun used to ask about his designs to her and she honestly gave her opinions which made them friendly. They even asked her to address them by their names instead of calling "Sir".
At 9.45am, Arushi was busy arranging for the meeting and checked everything whether it was okay. Jia came and double checked for her. They even had their presentations and thought to impress Aarav. Everyone including Harish, Arun, Adi, Arjun and some other important staffs has gathered in the conference room. Arushi and Jia looked a bit tense. Adi just blinked to Arushi and smiled at them mouthing a "relax".
Sharply by 10.00am, he walked through the door of that conference room. When Arushi looked up at him, she froze. Jia sensed that something was terribly wrong. Harish went near him and introduced proudly "He is my son, Aarav Sinha, our new Marketing Manager". Other staffs greeted him and at last he noticed her. Instantly his whole demeanor changed. Both stared at each other, one with pure rage while the other in complete shock.
"You, what the hell are you doing here" he simply gritted his teeth.
Everyone was so shocked of his outcome and guessed that something might have gone wrong. Harish is now so very clear that the incident which Arushi had narrated to him early belongs to none other than, his son's.
As everyone was expecting him through the door, Arushi saw him first. But Aarav didn't expect her there. He actually shook his hands with the staffs and then only he noticed her standing near the presentation board along with Jia.
"Get out" his voice just boomed all over the room and it made Arushi to jerk out from her frozen state.
Others gaped at him. Harish sensed the situation and came close to him.
"Aarav, She's my PA Ar…."
"Arushi" he finished it to everyone's surprise. At least Harish tried but was too late. Even Arushi stared at him with wide eyes as she didn't know how come he knows her name.
"Aarav, whatever it is, we can discuss later son" he assured him, which made Aarav at look at others and it finally fixed on her with a smirk, as she can't escape now. Arushi gulped in realising that.
Then with a nod from Harish, everyone settled in their respective seats. Without taking his eye from Arushi he took the seat beside Harish. Jia understood everything and touched her hand. This made her to move her stare from Aarav to Jia.
"Adi, I think she has already messed with him" Arjun muttered helplessly.
"Poor Arushi" Adi felt pity for her and worried about what's going to happen with her.
Aarav stared her sharply from head to toe which made her very uncomfortable. Though she tried her best to be normal under his intense stare, she can say that, by his plastered smirk, he knows his effect on her.
"Arushi, are you ready for the presentation?" Harish asked her gently with a concerned look.
"Yes Sir" she said confidently by totally ignoring Aarav's prying eyes.
Then the light went off and the presentations were projected in the white board one by one. Before starting her presentation, she noticed that Aarav hadn't moved his stare from her. His eyes were sharp even in the dark. She closed her eyes and tried to forget his presence. Then praying hard, she started her presentation. Aarav remained very keen in observing her and her presentation. She explained very neatly about their recent projects, clients, achievements, profit rate, everything on behalf of Harish. When she finished, Harish felt very proud of her. Aarav thought "Not bad" and then Jia continued the remaining presentation on behalf of Arun. This helped Aarav to know the status of their company.
Then the light came. Still Aarav is looking at her only. Adi and Arjun were very eager for the meeting to conclude as they wanted to enquire Arushi about what had actually happened between them. Harish and Arun tapped Arushi and Jia's shoulder gently for they have done a good job. They used to encourage them every time. It actually made Arushi and Jia to do even perfect than before.
When the meeting ended, other staffs returned to their cubicles. Aarav now advanced towards Arushi, who just held Harish's hand for support. Sensing her fear, Harish asked her to check about the client's meeting, which is going to be after lunch. She didn't miss that chance and thanking Harish wholeheartedly inside she just ran from the conference room followed by Jia, Adi and Arjun. Arun took excuse as he had other works. Now, only Harish and Aarav stood there.
"Fire her, I don't want her around" he simply stated it.
