"Were the dead bodies infected," the Head General asked.
"Some of them were infected, so we had no choice but to blow them into pieces and those who were not infected were disposed of properly," said Dr. Tressa.
"What about those UN officials, didn't they find it suspicious," the Head General asked.
"We had a situation that was advantageous for us, right now the whole region is in the grip of a deadly epidemic. So the officials can't reach the place to provide vaccination."
"Take care of that mutant guy, make sure to train him well," the Head General said. The abilities that you provided him on earth would not work anywhere else, I hope you know that."
"Don't worry sir, he is our most valuable asset. I'll make sure to use him very carefully."
"If you say so, don't ever disappoint me. You know the consequences, right." The head general walked off giving a king's vibe.
*********
Aurel entered one of the empty room where he found Kris practicing blindfolded last time. Unlike last time, Kris was practicing his hand to hand combat skills.
"Hey Kris, you said you would teach me some combat skills." Said Aurel.
"I don't understand your obsession with learning the combat skills. Why are you so desperate on learning it," Kris said. "You'll get to learn about them slowly."
"I told you earlier, I want to become stronger. Today as you could see, General Arashi was playing with me as if I was some kind of doll."
"Oh, I almost forgot to ask you. Did you attend any martial art classes on our home planet?" Kris asked.
"No, why do you ask?"
"That's strange, how were you able to block General Arashi's attacks today," said Kris. "I have never seen any newbie blocking off his attacks this smoothly. I mean it's almost impossible for us too, but you, you were just awesome today."
"Let's forget about those and please teach me some combat skills, will you."
"Ok, so let's start now. Today, from what I had observed your movements and reaction timing are very fast, but the main problem is that you don't know how to execute your attacks properly."
After an hour of continuous practice with Kris the bell rang and it was time for them to go back to their rooms. They separated from the corridor and went in the direction of their respected rooms.
As Aurel was walking along the corridor, he could feel like someone was following him. he lowered the sounds of his own footsteps to hear he one who was following him, but there was no sound. He started taking faster steps and went inside a random room to catch the stalker.
The room he entered was too dark to see anything. He waited at the entrance of the door, then suddenly a punch landed on his face out of nowhere, it was so powerful that he almost felt like he was going to collapse. He turned on his eyes's night mode.
He was able to see clearly in the dark but he found no one. Right then a dark red hand grabbed his face from the upward side and through it's long claw tried to stab him on his stomach.
It was now trying to bite his neck. Aurel grabbed a shuriken from his left pocket and with full force hit the creature on his head. The grab now loosened a bit and he heard the same voice that he heard in his nightmare. The creature was squealing loudly as if it was in pain.
Aurel grabbed hold of its hand and with another shuriken stabbed at the creature's stomach. The creature was now squealing too loudly. Despite injuring the creature, he still couldn't see its face as it was still behind him.
With a counter attack, the creature pierced his claws into Aurel's thigh and started choking him. Despite the claw attack, Aurel continued to stab the creature at different places but he was running out of breath. In a last attempt, he gathered all his power and with the shuriken stabbed at the creature's neck region. The creature squealed loudly and at once let go of him. but before he could see its face, the creature jumped over him and vanished in thin air.
There was no sign of that creature anymore. He sat down on the ground placing his head against the wall and breathed heavily. The door opened and someone turned on the lights of the room. Aurel looked in the direction of the door and found that it was Miss Kirsten, their medical in charge and daughter of General Aeson.
"Ay, student what are you doing here, go to your room. Don't you know, it's curfew time and you can't come out of your room after the bell rings," Miss Kirsten said.
She had a very weird accent just like her father but unlike her father she looked very innocent.
"Yes mam, I was just going to."
"Go fast, otherwise you'll be punished."
Miss Kirsten turned off the lights and went away. After resting for a few moments he walked towards his room. He wondered, what the hell is happening with him.
He entered is room and saw that Scarlett was fast asleep and Irene was bus reading a book. He saw that she was lying on his side of the mattress.
"Hey you're lying on my side, go to your side," said Aurel.
Keeping her book aside, she said "No, I like this part of the mattress, it's soft and fluffy. You sleep on Scarlet's side."
"Hey, how can I sleep in the middle of the bed," Aurel argued.
"Then do you want to sleep with me."
"I guess, we are already sleeping together," said Aurel.
"Oh, now I understand, you want to sleep with me under one blanket. If that's your thought then keep it for yourself, I'll never sleep with someone like you," said Irene.
"Are you crazy, you're letting your imagination run too wild. Don't worry, I'm not that desperate to sleep with you and besides, I don't sleep with any girl."
"What, any girl. You dare to refer me any girl. You..... you. AH, forget it. I'll get my revenge on you."
"Any girl, hmmm. I'll kill you." Irene threw her book to the side and covered herself from head to toe with the blanket.
Aurel looking at her reaction thought she had really gone crazy.
