BLUE unwillingly woke up from her deep slumber when she heard the loud bang of the door as if someone had just entered and close it. Only two people know the password of her door. It's Pepper Mint and Alena.
Blue jumped off from her bed and went downstairs. She rubbed her eyes as she was walking and her gaze landed on the annoying rug that made her slip yesterday. She picked up the piece of cloth and threw it in the nearest trash bin. She glanced at Pepper Mint who was comfortably sitting in the couch and was staring weirdly at her.
"Why are you here?" Blue asked Pepper and she went to the kitchen to prepare a breakfast for two. Pepper followed her and spoke.
"You're not going to work today, right? Accompany me to buy materials for my party."
"Hmm, your birthday is on Saturday, right?"
"Yes. That's two days from now."
"Good luck on your preparation. I'm also going out to buy my costume for your party. Have you sent out the invitations already?" Blue asked Pepper as she fried two pieces of egg. It didn't take long to fry so she placed the eggs in the plates when it was already cooked.
"Yep. I just sent it online." Pepper paused. "I should also send an invitation to your company's boss and your workmate." She continued.
"Why would you invite them? Are you acquainted with the two?"
"Nope, but they're my friends' friends." Pepper grinned and Blue walked to the dining room. She placed the dishes in the table and when she turned her head, she saw Pepper entering the room. The latter invited herself to sit and started to eat the meal prepared by Blue.
Blue sat in front of Pepper and said, "It's all up to you. I'm sure that your parents had invited a lot of socialites of the same age with us. I just hope that they wouldn't ruin your party."
"Hmm, you're right. I just agreed with their idea because they mentioned that if I didn't agree with that condition, my party would be a typical socialite party full of people wearing gowns and suits."
The two went silent as they peacefully ate their breakfast. Pepper volunteered to wash the dishes so Blue took a bath and changed her clothes.
When she went downstairs, Pepper was leisurely sitting in the couch while playing a mobile game with her phone. Blue peeked from behind and saw that Pepper was playing the game that Alena plays in her livestreams.
"Hey, we're still not going to leave?" Blue asked Pepper and the latter closed the game and locked her phone. The two left the house when they were sure that the door was locked.
Pepper brought her car so Blue didn't bother to bring her own because looking for a parking spot is another trouble. Blue sat on the shotgun seat and Pepper was on the driver's seat.
"Why didn't I just call our family driver?" Pepper blurted out and Blue stared weirdly at her.
"You're the one who insisted that you're going to drive." Blue stated and Pepper pursed her lips. They were silent for the whole ride and because it's a weekday, they were able to find a parking spot quickly. They stepped out of the car and entered the mall side by side.
When they entered, Blue faced Pepper and asked, "What should I wear?"
"You love Bulbasaur, right? Why don't you just buy a Bulbasaur mascot?" Pepper suggested and Blue flicked her friend's forehead.
"I only know a few anime characters." Blue said and she listed those characters in her head.
"Who are those characters? I'll help you find a costume."
"Hmm, Ayuzawa Misaki, Aoi Tsubaki, Haruhi, Hozuki, and I know a female character from a donghua. She's called 'Qian Yunxi.' You've heard of Tong Ling Fei? That's my favorite animated film."
"Yes, yes. Psychic Princess. I've already watched that. I know a shop where we can find that type of clothing." Pepper pulled Blue towards a large traditional clothing store inside the mall. Pepper had already visited the shop before so she knows where this and that are placed.
Pepper pulled clothes from different clothing racks and handed it to Blue. The latter's eyes widened when the clothes were really the same with the clothes Qian Yunxi wore in Tong Ling Fei. Blue went to the fitting room to try the clothes on.
She peeked outside and called Pepper. Pepper crooked her finger, motioning that she should come out so she did. Pepper looked at her from head to toe and gave her a thumbs up.
"We just need to find a headdress. Go change your clothes. We'll pay for that." Pepper said and Blue changed her clothes. She carried the costume and brought it to the counter to pay. Amusement was visible in Blue's face when she saw that the prices of the clothes are really cheap.
The two stepped out of the store and went to the neighboring shop to buy the headdress. They easily purchased it and their next stop is the shop that sells party items.
Pepper walked around the store and Blue noticed that her friend didn't really know what to buy so she approached Pepper.
"What's the theme of your party?"
"I don't know…" Pepper pursed her lips and she received a light hit from Blue.
"Decide now. We can't waste any time."
"Hmm… I just want the color scheme to be yellow." Pepper responded and Blue gave her a nod.
Blue walked around the place and chose some party needs and payed for it. Then she pulled Pepper to the bookstore and bought some materials for decorate a venue.
When they left the store, Blue glanced at Pepper. "I have some fabrics at home. We can also use it to decorate the venue. Right, we already bought these things and I still have no idea where the venue is."
"Ground floor of my parents' house. You know that it's intentionally empty, right? It's because it's always used for gatherings or parties." Pepper answered and Blue nodded lightly.
"Let's put these things to your car first then we'll grab something to eat. Is that okay?"
"Sure."
The two went to the parking area and placed the things they bought in the compartment. They went back to the mall and they looked at each other when they can't decide on where they should eat.
"Since you can't decide, let's just go to the steakhouse." Blue spoke and Pepper agreed with her.
Blue ordered for the two of them and Pepper walked around the steakhouse to look for a vacant chair.
When Blue left the counter, her gaze landed on a familiar person.
'What is he doing here?' She thought to herself when she saw Light but she noticed that there was a woman sitting in front of Light. 'Ah, so it's a blind date.' Blue assumed and she looked for Pepper.
Maybe she was really meant to be unfortunate for the whole lifetime because the table that Pepper chose is located beside Light and his date's table.
Blue hurriedly sat in front of Pepper and gave her friend a weird look.
"Hey, are there no other vacant tables?'' Blue spoke with a soft voice and Pepper shook her head.
It's inconvenient to gossip in front of Light and his date so Blue pulled out her phone from her bag. She sent Pepper a message.
Sorrow Blossom Qin: Hey, the girl with Light… Is she Light's blind date?
Pepper flinched when she heard her phone's message tone so she unlocked her phone and grinned at Blue.
Pepper Mint: I don't know. They're still not talking 'til now HAHAHA.
Pepper Mint: Maybe the real reason why he agreed with your request that you're not going to work today is because he's having a blind date.

Pepper Mint: Right, I'm going to invite him to my party. Just sit back and relax. I got this.
Pepper stood up from her seat and walked towards Light's direction. She tapped Light's shoulder lightly and smiled.
"Hello, Mr. Lim. Uhm, I'm holding a party this Saturday for my birthday and because you're my friend's friend, why not invite you? You can also bring your other friends. The more, the merrier, right?" Pepper smiled awkwardly and Light stared blankly at her.
"Oh… You're Pepper, right?" Light asked and Pepper nodded enthusiastically.
"Yes, yes. It's an honor that you remember my name!" Pepper glanced at the girl sitting in front of Light then turned her head to Light. "This is… your blind date?" Pepper shamelessly asked and Light shook his head.
"Hello there! You might be that pretty girl's friend. Hmm, can I know her name?" The girl in front of Light said, pointing out to Blue's direction. The eavesdropping Blue just wanted to shrink in her own seat. Was she caught?
Pepper laughed awkwardly and answered the girl's question. "Hehe. Yes, she's my friend. Her name is Blue. She's also Mr. Lim's… workmate?"
"Yes, yes. I've heard from Light. By the way, I'm Luni. Light's cousin, not his blind date." The girl in front of Light introduced herself. "Also, my cousin in fancying someone right now. It's inappropriate to attend blind dates. He just needs to catch the girl." She continued.
"Oh, I was mistaken, then. Ms. Luni, you can also come to my party." Pepper smiled lightly.
"It's this Saturday, right? I'm sorry, it's my third anniversary with my husband. We'll celebrate together so I can't go." Luni said softly and Pepper's eyeballs almost popped out from her eyes. Wow, this woman is already married?
"It's fine! I'm wishing you a happy life!" Pepper said and then she looked at Light. "How about you, Mr. Lim? Can you go?"
"Yes. What's the theme?" Light casually asked.
"It's a costume party."
"What will Blossom wear?" Light asked again and Pepper was confused. Why was he asking?
"She's dressing up as Qian Yunxi from Tong Ling Fei."
"Oh, then I'll be dressing up as Prince Ye Youming." Light blurted out and Pepper's eyes widened.
