WHEN Light reached the garden, he walked around to look for Blue. Fortunately, the place was well lit. Not even a minute of walking around had passed and Light was able to spot Blue. Blue lay unconscious on the ground, the pair of round protruding hooded taper eyes are closed. The red lipstick she wore wasn't able to mask the paleness of her face. The hands that were covering her ears carelessly fell.
Looking at her gave Light a peaceful feeling, but even if her eyes were closed, her serene face made one feel melancholic.
'What happened to you?' Light thought to himself as he bent down to carry Blue in his arms. His home is not far from the venue so it won't be inconvenient to bring Blue with him.
When Light turned around to leave the place, his friends, Thunder and Brian, were standing near them. The two shared a single umbrella.
"Where are you going?" Brian took the initiative to ask.
"My house." Light answered indifferently and walked away from the two.
He headed to the area where he parked his car. Before he can even open his car's door, someone grabbed the door, stopping Light from opening it.
Light turned his head to glance at the person and he heaved a sigh when he saw that it was Alena. Standing beside Alena was Pepper. The two girls had a stoic look in their faces.
"Where are you going? Why are you carrying Blue with you?" Alena asked with a strict voice, like someone asked for her daughter's hand.
"My house is not far from here. It would be convenient for her to stay there for the night. She was drenched in the rain so the possibility of her having a cold is not low. I'm not going to take advantage of her." Light calmly said despite the disturbing stares of Alena and Pepper.
"Oh… Then please take care of her. Sorry for handing the responsibility to you…" Pepper said with a small voice. Because Pepper had already agreed, Alena can't do anything but leave Blue under Light's care.
"Then we should get going." Light stated and opened the door to the shotgun seat. He inclined the chair so Blue would be comfortable in her deep sleep. When everything was settled, he closed the door and faced Blue's friends. He gave the two a slight nod and sat on the driver's seat.
He drove to his house and they arrived in not less than 10 minutes. It was just a short drive and not too many cars are on the road so they arrived earlier.
Light glanced at Blue and he bit his bottom lip. Blue still hasn't woke up.
Light stepped out of the car and went to the other side to carry Blue. He closed his car's doors and walked towards the enormous double door of a European-style mansion. The dominating colors of the mansion are beige and brown. It's pleasant to the eyes.
Light entered the code in the mini screen beside the door and the door automatically opened. The two were welcomed by a dark living room. All of the lights were turned off because it's been months since Light last went to the mansion.
He's very familiar with the place so he placed Blue on the couch and turned on the lights. He went back to the area where he left Blue and bent down to carry Blue in bridal-style. The only clean room in the mansion was the master's bedroom, the room Light was using, so Light carried Blue to the second floor of the house and opened the door to his room. He placed Blue on the bed first before turning on the lights.
He was about to leave the room but he remembered that Blue's clothes were soaked from the rain. He sighed and picked up a pajama set from his closet. It's the smallest clothes in his closet. He used to wear the pajamas when he was still in high school.
'Do I need to change her underwear?' Light asked himself in his mind and it suddenly seemed like he made the wrong decision of volunteering to take care of Blue.
Light shrugged his thoughts off and went to the room adjacent to his. He remembered that his female cousin once resided in the house when she was looking for a job and left some clothes in the rooms closet. It wouldn't be too bad to borrow some, right?
Light opened the closet and randomly picked an underwear. He glanced at the piece of clothing and he nodded to himself when it still has a price tag attached on it. It wouldn't be unhygienic to use it.
'Wait, do I still need to get a brasserie?' Light thought to himself and he decided not to because his cousin's cup size is smaller than Blue's. His cheeks were on fire when the thought crossed his mind.
He left the room and went to his own room. Blue was still on a deep slumber when he went to the room. He got a towel from his closet and gently dried Blue's hair and skin. He slowly adjusted Blue's position into a sitting position. He closed his eyes and removed the layers of clothing from Blue's body. He also removed Blue's underwear with his eyes closed and helped Blue put on the underwear he got from his cousin's closet and also his pajamas.
He opened his eyes when he finished dressing Blue up and he panted heavily. He's not doing this thing again!
He looked at his own clothes and realized that he's still in his costume. He was too worried and forgot to change his own clothes. He picked up some comfortable clothes from the closet and went to the bathroom inside his bedroom to take a bath. He dressed up when he finished and he stepped out of the bathroom. Droplets of water were still falling from his hair. He raised his hands and gently dried his hair with his bath towel.
His gaze landed on the bed and he almost jumped when he saw Blue staring at him. But Blue's face looked lifeless. She was just blankly staring at Light.
Light sighed and walked towards Blue. He gently patted Blue's hair and sat beside her.
"What are you thinking about?" Light ask Blue with a gentle gaze. His voice was silvery and the other party lowered her head. "What's the problem?"
"I got drenched in the rain?" Blue spoke lightly and avoided Light's gaze.
"Yes."
"Sorry for causing trouble." Blue bit her lower lip and continued to lower her head. The man who sat beside her heaved a sigh and reached out his hand to Blue's face. He lifted Blue's small face and showed a doting smile to her.
"It's okay." Light chuckled lightly and Blue felt flustered. She just wanted to instantly disappear and never show herself to Light again. "Do you want to eat something?"
"No…" Blue responded with a small voice but her stomach betrayed her. It made a rumbling sound, making Blue's cheeks turn red.
"Is porridge fine?"
"Yes."
Light let go of Blue's face and left the room. Blue breathed deeply and pinched her cheeks. Why was she acting like that?
LIGHT went to the kitchen and prepared the ingredients for cooking porridge. It's the only dish he can cook.
When everything was prepared, he turned on the stove and started to cook. The food was ready in less than ten minutes so he poured the porridge to a bowl and picked up a spoon from his cutlery holder.
He went back to his room carrying a tray with a bowl of porridge, glass of water, and a spoon. He placed the tray on the bedside table and helped Blue adjust her sitting position.
"This place is…" Blue spoke with a small voice.
"This is my own house."
"Oh… It's nice."
"I'll let you wonder around later. Eat this first." Light picked up the bowl from the tray and scooped a spoonful of porridge. He lifted the spoon and Blue opened her mouth slightly to eat the porridge. Light continued feeding her 'til there's nothing left in the bowl.
Light handed Blue the glass of water and the latter obediently sipped on the glass.
"Uhm, did you change my clothes?" Blue asked with a small voice and Light almost choked on his own saliva.
"Yes… I had no other choice." Light answered with a hoarse voice and he avoided Blue's gaze.
"Oh, thank you…" Blue paused. "Do you want to know the reason why I'm suddenly passing out when I'm caught under the rain?"
