"PEPPER Mint, don't celebrate your birthday like this ever again." Blue hissed at Pepper who was silently munching on the sweets in the dessert table.
"It's my birthday! Don't be a kill-joy." Pepper told Blue and continued eating.
"I wouldn't mind if you're the one entertaining the guests! You're the birthday girl. Why make your friend greet people she doesn't know?"
"Okay, okay. Is Alena already here?"
"Nope. She's still doing her makeup."
"Haha, I'm excited to see her costume!" Pepper grinned widely and poked Blue's waist. "You look good on that costume! Wait, is that bangs permanent? You really cut your hair?"
"Yes." Blue pursed her lips and she wanted to scold herself because of her decision. After the party, she won't go outside anymore. She resembled an imperial concubine because of her bangs. It's exactly the same as Qian Yunxi's.
Blue's costume is Qian Yunxi's overall look in Tong Ling Fei. She cosplayed the character well and many guests had already taken a picture with her. Meanwhile, Pepper wore a blue ball gown, same style as Cinderella's. It seems like she decided to have a costume party to outshine others.
Pepper left Blue in front of the dessert table alone and suddenly, everyone turned their heads to the entrance of the venue. Blue didn't know whether she should laugh or cry because Alena just entered the place, and she's wearing Belle's gown from Beauty and the Beast.
Alena laughed at Pepper who was quietly pouting. The birthday girl felt bad because her plan failed. It turns out that her own friend will outshine her.
"Don't worry. I'll just stand by the side. The spotlight is all yours." Alena winked and handed her gift to Pepper. The latter quickly tore the gift wrapper and her eyes widened when she saw that the gift is a brand new phone, latest model of a famous brand.
"Damn, you're so rich!" Pepper exclaimed and hugged Alena. The latter laughed and lightly slapped Pepper's arm.
"Little kid, my Dad is a major shareholder of that brand. You should thank him."
"Just send my gratitude to him." Pepper said and she glanced at Blue. "Blossom! Where's my gift?"
Blue walked towards the two's direction and she shrugged her shoulders.
"Why would I give you a gift? I decorated the venue for you. I also sacrificed my fabrics..." Blue raised a brow at Pepper and the latter pursed her lips. Blue chuckled and pointed out to the enormous box near the table where the dishes are placed. "That's my gift. Just unwrap it later. You still have guests to entertain."
Pepper showed Blue a genuine smile and the two hugged each other.
The three stared at each other and it's like they had a mutual agreement, so they held hands and planned to go to the garden of Blue's residence. Before their plan was executed, they hurriedly retreated because the eyes of the guests are directed to a single direction. The three girls turned their heads to the direction of the venue's door and their eyes widened when they saw three stunning guys stepping inside the venue. The two are wearing prince costumes and the person in the middle wore an imperial prince's costume.
Blue narrowed her eyes when the costume of the guy in the middle looked so familiar.
"Damn, he's wearing Ye Youming's clothes." Blue mumbled under her breath and she suddenly had the urge to change clothes.
"Light and Blue… are they already a couple?" Alena asked and simultaneously threw a glance at Blue and Light. Blue rolled her eyes and let Pepper do the talking.
"Stop talking nonsense. I think if they were to be a couple, Blue would do the courtship. One look at Light, you can say that he's numb as hell and wouldn't take the initiative to do something as bold as courting our family's Blue." Pepper stated and Alena sighed.
"That statement didn't provide a good reason why Light's costume is Ye Youming's clothes in Psychic Princess."
"Oh… that… When Blue and I went to the mall the day before yesterday, then we happened to stumble upon him in the steakhouse. I invited him to attend my party then he asked me what Blue will wear. I answered, then he said, 'I'll be Ye Youming.'" Pepper explained and Blue was confused. Why wasn't she aware of that matter?
"Hey, why didn't you tell that to me?" Blue nudged Pepper and the latter scratched her nape.
"Sorry, I forgot."
"Should I also forget you?"
"Consort Qian Yunxi, please spare this lowly maidservant." Pepper bowed and Blue flicked her forehead.
"Go entertain your guests. I want to eat." Blue held Alena's arm and pulled her to the buffet table. The two got their plates and chose what they wanted to eat from a variety of foods.
When their plates were full, they sat on their assigned seats and leisurely ate their foods. Blue was absorbed into her own world full of foods and Alena just heaved a sigh. She's glad because her friend doesn't limit the amount of foods she can eat.
Blue didn't notice that someone sat beside her. Alena on the other hand was rooted to her place. Who gave Pepper an idea to assign Thunder's seat beside her?
"The food is too delicious that you weren't able to notice that someone sat next to you?" The man seated beside Blue spoke and the latter flinched. Blue innocently turned her head to her right side and she almost choked when she realized that the man was no other than Light.
"Oh… Yes, it's delicious." Blue focused her attention on eating her foods rather than paying attention to Light. She didn't know why she suddenly felt flustered.
Blue didn't dare to look at light again and silently bowed her head so Light wouldn't be in her line of sight.
"Blossom, you're munching on nothing…" Light commented and when Blue raised her head, she realized that the spoon and her mouth didn't meet. She scolded herself in her mind for being an idiot. "Do you want me to feed you?"
"N-no…" Blue hurriedly shook her head and ate her food again even if she lost the will to continue. She suddenly had the urge to cry. Why is she so idiotic? She wasn't acting the same way when Light wasn't near her.
Why is she acting like this?
Did she develop feelings for Light?
Blue shrugged her thoughts off and took a deep breath. The only feeling she harbored for Light was annoyance. How dare her think of those things.
When she finished eating, she stood up and went out of the venue. She headed to the garden of Pepper's residence to see the morning glory flowers. She can't miss the chance.
She smiled when she walked at the middle of the garden full of her favorite kind of flower. The layout of the garden was beautiful. If Blue was asked to stay at the garden all day without doing anything, she certainly will.
While she was enjoying herself, drops of water started to fall from the sky.
Blue squatted on the ground and covered her ears. At the middle of the garden full of flowers, it was meant to be a sight to behold. However, Blue didn't feel the beautiful mood that the garden gives when it started to rain.
Slowly, droplets of tears started to fall from her eyes. She felt lost.
AT the venue, Pepper was walking around, talking to random guests. Everyone was enjoying and Pepper's gaze landed on the window. It's raining.
She went towards Alena's direction and patted the girl's shoulder.
"Alena, have you seen Blue?" Pepper asked, worry was visible in her voice.
"Oh, she headed to the garden all by herself. She wanted to see the flowers." Alena nervously responded and Pepper pointed out to the window.
"It's raining…" Pepper said and Alena's eyes widened.
Light, who simply stood beside the two while listening to their conversation, suddenly spoke.
"What happened?"
Pepper nervously responded to Light. "Blue… she's outside… When it rains, she will be rooted to her place and suddenly lose her consciousness."
"Damn." Light hissed and ran towards the garden.
