Blue stared at the message sent to her by a colleague for a while.
〖Jian Aragon〗: 「Hey, have you heard that Director Ferrer is resigning?」
Blue quickly typed a reply.
〖Sorrow Blossom Qin〗: 「What? Whyyy?」
〖Jian Aragon〗: 「She's leaving the country :( I heard from someone that she would be staying in Sanya for good.」
〖Sorrow Blossom Qin〗: 「Oh. Then we can't do anything about it. Maybe she'll spend her time living her life to the fullest.」
〖Jian Aragon〗: 「Then how about our department :( We did really well because of Director Ferrer.」
〖Sorrow Blossom Qin〗: 「The company won't just hire someone as the new Design Department Director.」
〖Jian Aragon〗: 「Did you apply?」
〖Sorrow Blossom Qin〗: 「Gonna apply ;p」
〖Jian Aragon〗: 「Good luck~」
Blue didn't bother to reply anymore and just lay down on her bed, thinking about Director Ferrer's resignation. She just assumed the reasons she mentioned to Jian. The real reason why Director Ferrer wanted to resign, Blue has no idea.
AFTER a week of leave, Blue returned to her workplace again. When she entered the Design Department, it's like nothing had happened. No one bothered to ask her why she took a leave, no one welcomed her back. This matter, it's normal in her workplace. Her colleagues are distant to her, because they're envious that her name is remarkable in the fashion industry.
She took a seat in her assigned table . She opened her bag to look for the designs she made in Sanya, the one that Light had ruined, but were also redrawn by him.
She took the designs to Director Ferrer's office and the director looked at it for a while.
"You did not draw this." Director Ferrer commented. Blue just sighed and handed the ruined sketches to the director.
"Someone accidentally splashed water over it when I was in Sanya. Luckily, that someone knew how to draw and I made him redraw the sketches for compensation." Blue explained and the director simply nodded.
"This will be included to our Memento Collection. Hmm, this art style, it's quite familiar. Is the person who drew this a manhua artist?"
"No, Ma'am."
"Oh, he draws the same way like the manhua artist whose characters' clothes are very out of style. That artist is really remarkable because of his very bad choice of clothes." The director said.
Blue exited and returned to her table, and she heard her colleagues gossiping about someone.
"Have you heard about our new director?"
"Huh? It's already decided?"
"Yes, because she's the stepdaughter of one of the company's major shareholders. Well, she met the requirements for the director position. Among all of the applicants, all of them met the requirements. Of course, the company will choose the person whom they can benefit from."
"Oh, is the director a girl?"
"Yes, but she's already married. She's on her 30s."
"Uh, where did you here those information from?"
"Are you stupid? My father is also a shareholder."
Blue stopped listening to their gossip but she understood one thing, the new director is already decided. Meaning, she still haven't applied but there's already a new director. Ah, what a very unfortunate life.
LIGHT is currently drawing the last chapter of his manhua. After drawing, he's going to write the first chapter of 'Draw Me Near,' the collaborative book of him and SakuraKiss. Luckily, he's being paid in what he's doing. If this is simply a hobby, he better be ready for his parents' scolding.
He printed out his work and went to KNK Graphics to pass the manuscript of his manhua's last chapter. He went straight to the CEO's office, and handed the CEO his manuscript.
The company's CEO is also his editor. He's the only artist under the CEO.
"Thunder," Light greeted the man seated in a leather swivel chair. Thunder stood up and patted Light's back. Thunder is one of Light's college friends, and Thunder admired Light's drawing skills a lot, so he started a company to honor his skills. Well, he wouldn't have started the company without's Light help. Light is the co-owner of the company, but Thunder takes care of everything.
"What are you planning for your next project?" Thunder asked Light and offered him a seat. Light willingly sat at the visitor's chair and answered Thunder's question.
"The female lead is a fierce supermodel." Light spoke and Thunder almost choked on his own saliva.
"Where did you get idea? Hey, just to remind you, you're famous for your very bad choice of clothes for your characters. Luckily, the new manhua you released only wore school uniforms all throughout."
"That idea, I met a tigress in Sanya. The tigress is a fashion designer. I accidentally threw my coffee cup to her table, then her sketches were ruined because the remaining coffee in the cup spilled on her sketches. She made me redraw the clothes, and all of it were beautiful. Luckily, I know how to copy drawings. If I were to redraw it without a reference, it would end up to be a sack."
"You deserved it, hahaha! Who would randomly throw their cup on someone's table? Only an idiot would do that." Thunder laughed and then his facial expression became serious again. "Right, how would you draw the supermodel's clothes? No one would read a fashion related manhua when the artist has no fashion sense at all."
"Who told you I would draw it?"
Thunder's eyes widened. "You mean..."
"Yes, I'll collaborate with the tigress."
"Ah, that's not what I was trying to say. I thought you're going to pay someone to draw the clothes." Thunder spoke. "Well, the tigress might be busy. I'm sure that designing is not just her hobby. You see, she won't make you redraw it if it's simply for her leisure." He continued.
"You're right, but I'll still try to contact her."
"Woah, you have her contact details?"
"Well, we added each on Hello." Light smoothly said and Thunder's eyes widened.
"Damn fast, man! Then you go and convince her. Tell me if she agrees."
"Okay." Light responded and left the company.
When he stepped out of the building, he gazed upon the building in front of KNK Graphics building. 1997, those letters were embossed on the building's name plate.
While he was staring blankly at the building, a familiar looking woman stepped outside of the building, carrying a box while weeping loudly.
Light realized that the woman is the tigress!
BLUE just finished eating her packed lunch and she was unable to move when she saw Director Ferrer step out of her office, carrying her things.
Blue rushed toward the director's direction and asked, "Director, you're leaving already?"
"Yes. It's time for me to give all of my time to my family." Director Ferrer smiled at Blue. Hah? She smiled? Is it the end of the world?
"Ah, don't leave me alone in here, Director! You're the one I'm most comfortable with in this department."
Director Ferrer laughed for a while and messed up Blue's hair.
"Little girl, treasure your talent. Don't let this company limit your capabilities."
After saying those words, Director Ferrer had already left.
While Blue is still rooted to her place, a colleague pulled her towards the entrance of the Design Department. All of them lined up perfectly and Blue doesn't know what really is happening.
Their company's CEO suddenly entered and all of them bowed to him. The CEO stood aside and pointed towards the doorway.
"Everyone, this is your new director." The CEO said, and a woman in her 30s entered the room.
The woman was very familiar, and Blue's eyes can't be mistaken.
This person, Blue knows her very well.
The woman glanced at Blue and gave her a sweet smile.
