Augustus and his men returned to the town of Igread, tired of their travel. He and his men walked to an inn, they ate meat and drank ale.
"Rest for now, I will go and see the king." Said, Augustus.
He left the inn and get to his place first. He changed his clothes to noble attire. He is now at the bridge going to the castle gate at the center of the town. The bridge is long around 15 meters to the gate and 10 meters tall. When he looks under it, he can see some of the troops practicing, and some are talking.
Augustus is now at the gate. The guards let him in. inside the castle, there are 6 rooms, 3 each side. There is also a red carpet from the gate to the throne. 4 pillars standing in the hall. 2 pillars from the left, and two from the right. There are also sacred items at each side of the pillars. Small windows that only light can enter.
While Augustus walked, he saw the king sat on his throne. The king wore a king outfit with a red cape, a small gold crown. He has a full white beard, white long hair, brown eyes, white skin, and 6'2 tall. He's around 60 years old, but still a muscular shape body.
Augustus is in front of the king now. He kneeled down.
"Commander Augustus, at your service," said Augustus
"Speak!" Said, King Darius.
"I have an important message to bring my king. There is another kingdom near our town. They don't look like us. They don't have any visible armor, nonmetal helmet, and rare kind of weapon. They wear fine green clothing. They lead from a boy general." Augustus replied.
"Commander! I am too old for this. Enough of this nonsense! We have greater enemies. I don't even have a son to take my throne." said king Darius.
Suddenly, they hear someone walked came from the room towards them.
"My commander doesn't speak lies my king." Said General Kurnias while smiling
General Kurnias is the commanding general of the king troops. 6'7 tall, muscular build, brown skin, long black hair, black mustache, and brown eyes. He wears a white noble attire and black boots. He always laughs and smiles.
When Augustus saw Kurnias, He bowed lower than before. Kurnias walked slowly to him.
"What are these men commander?" Kurnias said while smiling
"I really don't know, they look suspicious. They killed 5 of my elite scouts in just seconds. My scouts are not that easy to kill, they would run if they sense they can't make it. No one reported to me what happened. I believe 5 of them are dead." Augustus said.
"There are dangerous. we should wipe them out before anything bad happens." King Darius said.
"No my king. They are still not a threat to our kingdom. We can negotiate to them, befriends to them." said Kurnias with a big smile.
King Darius and Augustus delighted on what Kurnias said.
"You're right, they can help us in our battle," Augustus said.
"bring me a messenger!" Said, King Darius.
the messenger walks inside the castle.
"Tell them I want to meet their general in a polite and friendly manner. I want to know him more." King Darius added.
The messenger walked out and abruptly sends his message.
Meanwhile in the New League Army base. It was early in the morning. Everyone is busily patrolled the outside, practicing, and chatting about this world.
Captain Finn busily does his duties. He spoke on the radio with his scouts.
"This is captain Finn speaking, what's the status." Said, Finn.
"Clear, no movements sir!" One of the scouts said.
"Good! keep your eyes open, don't let me down." Finn added.
General Aedric at his tent thought on what will he do next. He heard someone walked towards the tent. She entered the tent, saluted.
"The breakfast is ready general." Said by a woman, Corporal Anna.
"Thank you, Corporal," Aedric replied, nodded.
They ate in a large tent. Karl and Finn sat beside him. there is a long table inside the tent.
"How was your day general?" said Finn in a smiled face.
"I'm fine, captain," Aedric replied.
"How was your sleep?" Finn added.
Karl stared at Finn with an angered face.
"Stop it, Finn! you're making the general annoyed.
"It's ok, I was fine," said Aedric.
It was afternoon. the sun shined hotter. General Aedric assembled his Officers at his ten. All of the company and field grade officers are now at his tent. There are 14 of them, including the general. 6 captains, 6 Major, Colonel Karl, and General Aedric. Aedric began to talk.
"We should find a better place so all of us will be safe. That is our first priority." Aedric said.
"What about we build trucks, it's hard for us to travel without it." Corporal Smith replied.
"shut it! we have horses for transportation. Food and safety is our first priority. We don't even have a map. And you're talking about making a truck!" Colonel added with an angry face.
"Stop, everything is under control. we still don't have any resources to build it. We can make it when we are in a comfortable place." Said Aedric with a calm voice.
"Captain Jones, how many stocks are left." Said, Karl
"We have 14 days or 2 weeks before we ran out of food, sir." Captain Jones replied.
Now everyone talked at the same time, it makes the surroundings noisy.
"Stop! Stop! let the general talk!" Karl said angrily.
"Everything will be fine. Everything is under control. All are according to our plan. Stop worrying. Aedric said.
Suddenly in a radio, a scout reported to Finn.
"Sir! there are three men approaching, riding their horses, going towards the base." Said one of the scouts.
"Hold your fire don't shoot." Said Finn
suddenly, in a minute, they heard a noise ran towards the tent. One of the private entered. He saluted and looked at the general.
"Sir! there are 3 men riding a horse. They wished to see you." Said one of the private.
"I must go." Said, General.
He left the tent and the officers left too. They want to saw what happened. Aedric saw them at the distance. They wore a syndian armored uniform.
The syndian horsemen are composed of a full steel plate armor with a flag logo at the chest, and a syndian helmet, a half-faced helmet cover only the head and the eyes, and a metal boots.
Aedric is now in front of the gate. The messenger showed some respect and he delivered his message.
"My king, Darius Raegan II wishes to speak with you. He wants to know you. May I know your name, good sir?" Said one of the syndian horsemen.
"I am General Aedric. We are the New League Armies." Aedric Replied.
"It is a pleasure to meet you General Aedric." One of the syndian horsemen added.
"May I know the location of the town?" Aedric said.
"The town of Igread is north from here, 8 hours travel. Just follow the road. In a large tree just go left, it will lead you to the town." The syndian horsemen replied.
"Very well, we will leave tomorrow morning." Said Aedric
"Thank you for your cooperation. We must leave now. Hyah!" The horsemen said.
Three syndian horsemen leave. Aedric looked and pointed Karl and Finn.
"You, Captain Finn, and Colonel Karl must come. We will leave tomorrow morning, understood?" Said Aedric.
"Yes sir!" Karl and Finn replied.
"Assemble the officers at my tent" Aedric added.
Colonel Karl assembled the officers at the general tent to discuss the situation. All of the officers are now at his tent. It was late in the afternoon.
"Good afternoon, I will be leaving tomorrow morning to meet the king. This is an opportunity for us to negotiate. Colonel Karl and Captain Finn are coming with me. You must prepare the things we could use in travel. Dismissed" Aedric Said. Everyone is now leaving the tent.
The sun is setting down. Aedric and his troops are eating dinner. Some of the troops prepared things on their way.
It was already evening. Aedric got to his tent to rest.
He arranged his bed and lay down. He smiled and think about tomorrow.
"Tomorrow is gonna be a big day," Aedric said.
