"You're so early captain," Aedric said.
"I'm sorry General, I just got excited to venture this world. I want to see strong men, beautiful ladies, and orcs." Captain Floyd replied.
"Ahh, you and Finn have similarities, both of you," Aedric added.
"I'll go prepare myself" He suddenly leaves.
Floyd looked right at the General when he walked towards the exit he turned left looking, thinks, "I was just being honest," curious.
It was morning. Aedric picked a bucket full of water and carried it to the bathroom. He put his clothes off and started to take a bath.
The bathroom is made out of wood, it has four corners, every corner covered with wood. Suddenly, he heard someone's voice.
"Why did you pick Floyd instead of me General?"
Aedric frightened at Finn's voice. "Woah! Finn! What the heck! Tell me if you were there!" He said angrily.
"Ha! Ha! Ha! You scared easily General. No wonder you're so serious so they wouldn't think it was obvious." Finn laughed.
"I wasn't scared, I'm just surprised," Aedric replied.
"I chose Floyd so you can focus on your mission. You have the most important mission, Finn! Take this seriously or I will kill you!" Aedric added with a stern look on his face.
Finn took on his towel then suddenly ran and left.
Aedric left the bathroom and walked to his room. He changed his clothes to a non-combatant uniform. Floyd waited outside then Aedric opened the door.
"Ahh, General are you ready now?" Floyd asked.
Floyd wore also a non-combatant uniform. They still carried their pistol hid inside their pants and a knife in their boots in case something bad happens.
"Yes, tell our troops, no need to gather, we must leave now so we could go back early afternoon," Aedric answered.
They left the castle and rode their horses. Some of the soldiers bid farewell. Finn is busy reporting to his scouts, while Karl is busy managing the castle.
Aedric and Floyd ran swiftly through the wind, the cloud encompassed the sun it was a cloudy day. A breeze cold air collided with their skin while running.
A calm and silent expression, Aedric thought on how to get the heart of the villagers, to make them comfortable. They saw the village afar under the hill in plain grassy land. It's a wide village but no walls nor opening, no security and easy to raid.
When they're near, both of them walked towards the village. It was late morning. The villagers looking at them suspiciously but not threatened for they have no visible weapon. They observe the village, the houses are made up of wood, the road is dirt, and you can see farms nearby. The villagers are numerous, but there are only some guards patrolling.
They talked to some of the guards.
"May I know where the chief of the village lives?" Aedric asked.
"Ahh, so it's you, you came finally, we heard the king gave his fief to a suspicious-looking person. Come, I will lend you to the village elder." One of the guards replied. He has a black beard, a black mustache, brown eyes, and black hair, almost 6'0 tall. He wore a syndian armor, a syndian half helmet, a one-handed sword, and a heater shield.
The got down on their horses and walked towards the house of the village elder.
"Can I inspect the letter?" The guard asked.
Aedric gave the diplomacy letter, the guard read it.
"Wow! I never saw the written letter of the King before. It is truly meticulous. By the way, I'm Turko" The guard added.
"We're here"
The guard knocked on the door.
"Tug! Tug! Tug!"
The village elder opened, looked surprised.
"Greetings! This man is now the owner of this village. If you have any excuse, tell the king directly." Turko announced while showing the diplomacy letter.
"No, no, I don't have any grudge about this matter. Come, let us discuss this further inside." The village elder said.
The house of the village elder seems to be old and poor. It is made out of wood. The village elder has a white short hair, white full beard. 5'5 tall, around 70 years old. He wore a leather brown clothes made of goatskin.
They sat around the table in the dining room.
"My name is Vilandor, I had a son working in the town of Igread, he's a soldier. He visits the village sometimes, but he never visits now since the orcs make an attack in some villages." Vilandor said worriedly.
"I heard most of the troops defend the outer part of the land near the orcs, I guess he's in Etrosq castle," Aedric said.
Vilandor's wife came out of the kitchen and gave them a cup of milk and some pieces of bread.
"This is my subordinate, Captain Floyd, he will be the one to manage this village," Aedric declared.
"An army?" Vilandor asked.
"Yes, I promise to protect and develop this village," Aedric said.
"If it is good in the village why not?" Vilandor replied.
"Can you tell the villagers to gather around?" He asked Turko
"Ok, I will for the king," Turko said proudly.
It was noon. Most of the villagers gathered in an empty area near the house of Vilandor. Four of them in front of the villagers.
"Attention everybody our village elder has something to say." Said Turko
Vilandor came forward and began to announce.
"Good noon everyone, I would like to announce that King Darius had a diplomacy letter, this village is now own on by Captain Floyd."
While in the middle of the announcement Aedric and Floyd talk.
"I'm not ready to manage a village sir," Floyd said.
"You will, I believed in you, this could help you grow, to be a strong person someday."
"What? But I'm strong already General."
Aedric smacked Floyd.
"Strong in mind Captain."
Vilandor ended his announcement. The villagers doubted their new owner. Then Floyd walks in front.
"My name is Floyd Vince Howard In the New League Army! I promised I will make this village safe and secure!" He said while looking in front, chin up, and standing straight. The villagers hoped and delighted.
He walked back to Aedric. Then Turko came into them.
"I and the other guards will leave the village now, the king ordered yesterday."
"Is it so? Thanks for your cooperation, Turko."
Turko and the guards left. Vilandor invites them to eat for lunch, they both agreed. They talked while eating. It was afternoon. Aedric and Floyd thought to leave so they can be back before sunset.
They organized themselves and talked to Vilandor.
"Thanks for everything Vilandor. We will be back again next time. I promise to help this village." Aedric said.
"No worries I know you can help us." Said Vilandor.
When they walked outside, some of the villagers gave them a lot of food and water inside a wagon. It is a token of gratitude if the king gave his fief, it means that someone is worthy to take care of a village, town, or castle.
They picked up the carriage and left. The villagers waved their hands.
