It was a pleasant morning. Three of them woke up relieved. Karl peeked in the window. The streets are not so crowded and only a few people walked. They picked up their things and adjusted their uniform.
"Let's go," Aedric said
They left the room and walked towards the door. He opened it and they dazzled in the sunlight. In the distance, they saw Kurnias and his knights riding a horse, mostly 30 of them. He wore full general armor. It is unique than a normal knight armor. The chest plate and the gauntlet are black. His winged great helmet is on his waist. Kurnias smiling looking at Aedric.
"General Aedric, how was your sleep?" Kurnias asked.
"Pretty good General Kurnias, how about yours?" Aedric replied.
"Ha! Ha! Ha! It was pretty good too. I'm here to say goodbye. I guess this is our last meeting." Kurnias said worriedly but still smiling.
"The orcs are beginning to attack Etrosq castle. They need us there. Pray for us and wish us good luck general Aedric." Kurnias said.
"I will General Kurnias," Aedric replied.
General Kurnias gave some of his silver.
"Here, take this, it can help you on your way," Kurnias said.
"Thank you, you're very kind," Aedric responded.
Then General Kurnias and his knights started walking. They looked at them leaving. They arrived at the stable to get their horses.
"Gosh, do orcs really that strong?" Finn said.
"I don't know. They just don't underestimate their enemies." Karl replied.
"In here, let us consider our enemies strong too. Never underestimate someone." Aedric said.
They are now in the stable. They got their horses and started walking. The sky is clear and the sun shined brighter. The street is not that busy and at the distance, they saw people cried and thrown flowers. They came near to it and they saw soldiers marching silently, others hug their wives and children, some men cried, some townsfolk played sad music.
"It's tough to be an army on the medieval times huh?" Finn said.
"It is, let us go now" Aedric replied.
They left the town now and rode their horses. In the outside of the town, they saw some of the soldiers and they saw Augustus observing his troops. Aedric came to saw Augustus.
"Commander Augustus," Aedric said.
"Ahh, general are you leaving already? How was your sleep?" Augustus responded.
"Yes, we're leaving. It's good to see you here. So, I heard you're going to Etrosq castle." Aedric replied.
"Yes, yes. The orcs are making aggressive moves, we must defend that castle at all costs." Augustus answered.
"We will help you if we could have a permanent base. We must leave now Commander." Aedric added.
"Good luck on your travel General," Augustus replied.
Three of them left.
They go to some market place outside the town and buy some food. They're in front of a market called Beef Store. They got down to their horses. They opened the door and saw a man inside.
"Good morning gentleman, would you like some beef?" The man said.
They bought 6 cooked beef and three cow's milk. The man is grateful. They left the place and they felt the cold breeze of the wind. They look in the sky and they saw a nimbus cloud from afar.
"It's going to rain, let's go," Karl said.
"Hyah!"
They ran swiftly.
It was late morning. Sadly, the rain caught them. It was a normal downpour. They look expressionless while walking. They are at the mountainside, there is a hill on the right full of trees and a river on the left.
It felt like late afternoon because of the rain.
In the distance, they saw a man. It was blurred because of the rain. It moved and unexpectedly they heard a sound. It was an arrow, fires at Finn. Luckily, Finn noticed and evaded it, three of them got down on their horses in an instant.
"A bandit!" Karl said.
Then they heard some men came from the hill approaching. Finn gets his knife and stood up. He ran as fast as he can towards the enemies. His face is serious and he didn't even blink his eyes.
He looked at them and he saw 6 people and the including archer who shot his arrow. He spins his knife and jumped.
"Ahhhh!"
The bandit archer surprised at Finn speed. He cannot even take the time to draw his bow.
"Crack!"
Finn hit the bandit archer on the bottom of his knife. The bandit archer knocked down, nonlethal but it still hurt. His face looked left, angrily. He saw 5 of them coming.
The bandit used iron axed and an iron sword. They covered in brown leather clothes, brown fur boots, and a brown leather helmet.
"Yaaah!"
One of the bandits began to swing his sword, a high swing then Finn punched his gut, hit him in the head of the bottom of his knife. He looked at his left he saw another bandit, they surrounded him. Then Aedric and Karl join the battle.
"Hyah!"
Karl punched one of the bandits in the face but it wasn't easy to knockdown. The bandit looked angrily and swing his ax.
"Shing!"
Karl evaded it and do a front kick.
"Ahhh!"
The bandit damaged and knocked down. Behind Karl, there was a bandit with his barbaric looked ready to swing, Aedric noticed. Unaware, Aedric done a spin kick and hits the bandit on the head.
There is now only one bandit left. The bandit swung his sword to Finn.
"Too slow," Finn said smirking.
He kicked the right knee of the bandit, and the bandit kneeled down, then he punched its head. All bandits knocked off lying on the ground in the middle of the rain. Finn put back his knife.
"Let's go," Aedric said.
They are all wet and tired. They rode their horses again and started to move.
"Hahaha! Did you see my moves Colonel?" Finn said, laughing.
"Shut it! It has nothing to be proud of." Karl said.
Finn burst out laughing.
It was now noon. The rain stopped but the sky is still cloudy. Clouds covered the sun. They saw the tree again from where they stopped by yesterday.
"Look! It's the tree!" Finn said.
"Let's rest there for a minute," Aedric replied.
They sat down again at the bottom of the tree. They ate what they bought at the market place while listening to the river stream.
The sun shined again. The sunlight spreads over the place, which is a pleasant sight to see.
Aedric looked at the blue sky, there is something bothering his mind.
"Did you look at that bandit before? One of them is an elf." Aedric said.
"Oww, I didn't notice maybe he's homeless and lost in the land of humans," Karl answered.
"Maybe," Aedric added, worried.
Aedric stood up and rode his horse.
"Let's go" Aedric announced.
Three of them rode their horses and started to move out.
It was afternoon. They now saw their base afar. They came towards it. They're now in the front gate fence, then all the troops ran, dashing to see the general. All the troops gathered in a proper formation, then saluted
"The General is back!"
