Chapter 18 - Chapter 17: Preparing for Family Dinner

Hinaya looked at the ceiling as she thought about the creatures she had seen back in the 6 doors, while the goddess talked in the background discussing her parents and brothers in Niara. The goddess was out of grandma form and was seen in her normal goddess form

Varuni stopped talking as she had noticed Hinaya wasn't listening to her words.

"You know the creatures that I saw while in full armor thing?" Hinaya finally breaks the silence and questioned Varuni, smiling.

"The goblins?" Varuni answered her by looking at the painting across from where she sat.

"Yes, I've been thinking about those just a second ago."

"What do you think of them?" Varuni looked into Hinaya's eyes.

"They look like Voldemort." Her short answer received a fit of laughter from the goddess.

The room filled her laughter and Hinaya joined her scratching her head. "Avirha needs to hear this," she again left out a cackle.

"Wait a minute, you know Voldemort?" Hinaya questioned.

"Yes, of course." She chuckled, "My daughter used to talk about Harry Potter."

"Oh," She nodded her head, surprised by the unexpected conversation bringing up the goddess daughter. "Wait, your daughter's here? ON EARTH?!"

"Mmhm." She hummed and smiled thinking of her daughter. "She attends a prestigious school here in the US."

"Ohh really? What school is it? Harvard? Stanford? Oxford? Oh, wait that's in England, anyways is it, Monteverde? Princeton? Duke? Yale? Columbia? Cornell?"

Yet again Hinaya questioned multiple questions at once, not waiting for the goddess to answer.

"Are you gonna start and name every university in the US?" The goddess let out, amused. She chuckled before answering Hinaya, "It's Harvard."

"Wow, that's good! I go there too, what's her name? I entered there last year, I skipped some years but I'm going out since I'm going to transfer to Stanford. I know you weren't asking but like, I just want to flex my brain."

The goddess let out a small laugh, "Heather Duke." After her name was announced Hinaya screamed.

"YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING?! SHE'S SO PRETTY I'M WILLING TO SACRIFICE MY LIFE FOR HER AND SHE'S SO SWEET. SHE EVEN COMPLIMENTED MY DESIGNS."

"That's new," Varuni mumbled.

"Anyways, can I meet her?" She looked at the goddess with puppy eyes.

"No. We have another thing to do."

"Like what?"

"Ruin their life, remember?" Varuni stands up from the sofa to Hinaya's bed, smirking.

"You're so hot." It came out of her mind. "Who said that? I didn't." She looked at the ceiling and to her surroundings. The goddess didn't do anything other than smile.

After a few weeks of staying in the hospital the day of her discharge finally arrived.

The elevator dings and the door slowly opened, as the door opened it revealed Hinaya in a wheelchair with her matte brown cat eyes sunnies, hair in a bun keeping hair away from her face, she wore a cream-white sweater, beige high waisted trousers pants under a long white wool coat and a YSL black opyum sandals in a gold-tone heel.

"Can you walk?" Her grandma asked, Varuni wasn't in her anymore but in a form that people from earth don't see.

"Yes, grandma but I'm more comfortable in a wheelchair." She replied looking up to her grandma with a smile.

Her grandma replied with a smile and continued to push her out of the hospital. They finally got out of the hospital, there they met multiple men in black suits.

The men in suits tried to help with the wheelchair but Hinaya stood up and walked towards the car door greeting the bodyguards with a glimpse.

"Grandma, where are we going?" She asked as she climbed into the car, her grandma walked to her trails and replied, "Do you want to visit your mom and your friend?"

Hinaya looked beside her. She smiled and said, "Yes, please. Thank you."

Her grandma smiled in response. After moments of silence, Hinaya was looking out the window while the bodyguard drove, she thought of her phone, "Grandma, do you have my phone?"

"Oh yes, of course." She looked over her bag, and after a few seconds, she found Hinaya's phone. "Here."

"Thank you." The feeling of excitement as she grabbed her phone slowly from her grandma's hands was making her heart beat rapidly.

She opened her contacts and it was full of messages from her schoolmates wishing for her recovery. She thanks every single one of them. In the middle of thanking them.

She received a message from "Scoundrel" with a message that said "Family dinner." "Tonight."

She scoffed, excitement runs through her as she thinks of a reply. "Family? They're under the ground. Thank you for your reminder to join them. Tonight."

Should I send this? Or think of a better one? Nah, I should send this. Looks good enough. A mischievous smile curved through her lips. She took a deep breath before she pressed the send button.

After that, she blocked him and went through every app she missed. Her grandmother's phone rang. Her grandmother saw who it was and took a while until she decided to bring it up to her.

Hinaya was scrolling down on Twitter and gasped with the news she read, "Little mix is now 3?! Shawn and Camila broke up?! There's a covid vaccine now?! Adele's back?! Gosh, it's been about." She paused and counted with her fingers, "6-5 years? From the vault Taylor's version?! Wait, Red and Fearless have been re-recorded? Speak now haven't been re-recorded yet?"

Hinaya turned her head to her side where her grandmother sat, "Grandma, who are you talking to?"

In response, her grandma put down her phone and said, "Hinaya, we need to go to your father's house later there we can finally say goodbye to them and go to the Philippines."

"Lola, ayaw ko po umuwi ng Pinas." She replied in Tagalog. Her mood changed. And her voice sounded like she can burst out crying at any moment.

Translation— Grandma, I don't wanna go home to the Philippines.

"And I don't want to go there either. I just want... To live on my own, know the importance of everything, and... Continue my study here," She heaved a sigh following her words.

The sun fell and hid behind the mountain, and the moon rose. Their visit to Freya and her mother had happened moments ago and the time for the dinner finally arrived.

Should I go with fancy? Or casual? Or comfy? I should go with fancy. I'll expensively ruin them~ She hummed.
