At about 10 am Dark Dark was finished with breakfast, thought about his plans for today and stood in the hallway wondering with what he should start. He came across a side room where Phoenix was.
I should talk to her.
Then he entered and hugged his sister tightly. It seemed a little too long for a normal hug, so Phoenix got worried and softly pulled him away, holding his face in one hand, straight looking at him. "What's wrong?", she asked kindly. Dark Dark was avoiding her sight and got her hand away. He mumbled: "Nothing." Phoenix sighed and looked him in the eyes again. "You had a nightmare again, didn't you?", she said. Nervously he tried to laugh it off but replied quietly "you know me too well..." The girl took his hands and focused on his face, where she saw a tear rolling down his cheek.
"Tell me please", she wished. He stayed silent for a while but answered:"I... saw you... outside... training fire and... you lost control... and disappeared... in a huge flame." he paused "you never came back", Dark Dark whispered and more tears flout down his face. "Oh no", Phoenix said and took him back in her arms. Crying at her shoulder, she susurrated "That won't happen." "You don't know!", he shouted and held her tighter. Hugging him closer, Phoenix repeated: "That will never happen." "You don't know", he said again. Gently she stroked his back and replied: "never." Dark Dark just sobbed.
After a while he got quieter and slowly stopped crying. Softly she released him out of her arms and wiped his tears from his cheeks. A little shamefully he looked down. "Maybe we should get something to eat", Phoenix suggested kindly. He nodded, wiped his face and stood up. Friendly she touched his shoulder and went towards the door, him following her. In the kitchen she grapped two apples and gave Dark Dark an asking look. He agreed and opened the fridge. Curious she peeked inside from behind him, as she watched him taking out two puddings. Smilingly Phoenix let him give her one and she handed him an apple. They left the kitchen and went outside.
