Chapter 59 - Watching Her Sleep

While Asmodeus was busy getting drunk, Yvonne was tossing and turning on her bed.

Thoughts of what happened during the day were weighing down on her mind and no matter how hard she tried to throw them out, they kept coming back.

She thought of how she had suddenly wept without no reason when she came in contact with the boy named Damien.

'Those deep green eyes have a story to tell and I just cannot get them out of my mind!' She hugged a pillow and muffled the scream of frustration that erupted through her.

She had been trying to figure out why she had felt that heart-wrenching pain when she gazed into those deep forest green eyes but to no avail.

After a few hours of tiring herself out by counting sheep, she finally fell asleep.

In her sleep, what she failed to notice were the red glowing eyes that were watching her sleep from outside the closed window.

"I cannot enter your room but that does not mean I cannot take you with me…" The apparition with red eyes chuckled eerily and vanished into thin air.

The last time that Asmodeus had rescued Yvonne from the sudden apparition that attacked her, he had placed a protective charm around her room which would not allow the evil entity to enter it.

It had been a while since the entity could finally materialize itself once again after what had happened to it when Asmodeus had pushed it far away from Yvonne.

However, it seemed as though this time the entity was back and was hell-bent on taking Yvonne away with it.

___

After a good night's sleep, Yvonne woke up with a smile on her face and stretched her arms.

'I finally could fall asleep!' She yawned and threw the sheets away.

Getting down from her bed, she noticed that there was something different about her today.

The light and airy feeling she would usually feel when she got up were replaced by a certain heaviness which she could not explain.

Glancing down she looked at her body and the first thing that met her eyes was the perky breasts that rose and fell as she breathed.

'Heh? Am I dreaming?' She fixed her eyes at the part of her body that shouldn't even be there.

She slowly lifted her hands and grabbed onto the breasts only to be able to vividly feel their softness in her palms.

'Did I have a growth spurt in the middle of the night?' She was puzzled because the body she should be in right now was only 5 years old but the breasts that her palms were cupping could only belong to a grown woman.

Her brain was not yet awake and had yet to take a proper look at her surroundings but now, facing this abnormality, her eyes were wide open as she looked around the room.

An unknown room with furniture that she had never seen before today.

The room was painted a bland white with grandeur furnishing all around her.

It reminded her of her old room from her original world but this looked even better.

Even the bed she sat on was massive for just one person to occupy.

'Where am I and what the hell is going on!?' She jumped off the bed and ran towards the large mirror placed at the corner of the room.

Standing before it, Yvonne was once again left speechless when she saw the reflection standing before her.

Long violet hair which twisted into curls as they reached her butt, wide slanted eyes that held her amethyst irises and a fair milky yet slightly pale complexion that could make anyone burn with jealousy greeted her eyes.

'What is this?' She squished her cheeks and watched how they turned red in a matter of seconds.

She had learned her lesson the first time she met Asmodeus so she did not try to smack herself awake because she would just be hurting herself in the end.

'Did he do something to me again? Brought me into the future or the likes of it?' She questioned in her mind and twirled around in her place to take another look at her entire body.

Right now, she was in an adult version of 'Yvonne's' body which was why she had guessed that the blue bird had somehow dropped her into the future.

'Future? Then that means…' She stopped her train of thoughts and warily looked down at her left hand.

Seeing the big blue stone adorned on her ring finger, she cursed out loud.

"He did not send me into the future where I am already engaged to that jackass of a Grand Duke!" She roared and stomped her way to the window on the other side of the room.

Pushing it open, she glared at the bright morning sky with birds flying around as they chirped cheerfully.

"You have gotta be kidding me! First, you bring me here and make me a mere child and now you shove me into the future!" She scowled while looking at the sky in hopes of getting her frustrations to fall on the ears of the God who had created this entire mess.

The anger about being moved to another timeline when she was just beginning to adjust to her new family was surging through her entire body.

*Knock knock*

Before she could speak any further, there was a knock on the door.

Yvonne panicked for a second because she did not know who it might be outside the door.

'What if it is that guy?' She bit her long and well-shaped nails to calm her paranoid heart.

The knock was heard once again and this time it sounded more urgent than the first time.

"Lady Yvonne, the Lord wishes to speak with you in the parlor. Please get dressed and do not keep our lord waiting for you." An arrogant voice was heard from outside the door.

Yvonne's brows furrowed when she heard the commanding tone in the voice of someone who could only be a maid from this household.

Rolling her eyes, she took a moment to think of what her next move should be.

'Should I go and meet this 'Lord' or not?' She was contemplating on what to do when the maid called out to her once again.

"Coming!" Yvonne yelled as she walked towards the bathroom door.

In a matter of minutes, she had taken a cold water bath because she did not want the arrogant maid to help her out and there was no Mrs. Jacinth here to assist her.

She picked out a black net gown that covered her entire body from head to toe in order to not let that man see even a single glimpse of her beautiful body.

Satisfied with the way she looked, Yvonne took a deep breath in and then pulled the door open.

The maid outside was a tall woman with bright orange hair who looked at Yvonne as though she was worse than the dirt on the ground.

Yvonne was not bothered about the maid's disrespectful eyes because she had a more complicated issue to think about.

'Where exactly am I in the story? Are the prince and Hilda together already? Are they married? Am I married?' Her brain was running faster than a horse could as they silently walked to the parlor.

The maid stopped when they reached their destination and wordlessly pushed the door open for Yvonne.

"Thank you." She nodded at the maid and then strode inside without bothering about the doubtful eyes that were aimed at her.

As she entered the room, the maid shut the door and quickly withdrew to avoid being targeted by the Lord's wrath.

Yvonne took a step into the room and was awestruck by the luxury that met her eyes.

Ivory tables, beautiful rugs and the large couches fit for kings to sit on.

'He is a prince after all.' She surmised because technically the man was royalty even if he had chosen to take his mother's family name when he was younger.

"So you have finally arrived." An amused voice dragged Yvonne out of her thoughts as she turned to her right and caught sight of the man she never hoped to meet in this life.

'Grand Duke Draco Roschester!' She gritted her teeth as that name echoed in her mind.
