Chapter 2 - 2. Death

…..am I dead?

The feeling when he got crushed by that truck felt so real in his body that he couldn't doubt it was just an imagination in the slightest bit at all.

He could feel the grassy ground below him, but he didn't dare open his eyes.

If he was indeed being run over by that truck, wouldn't it be better for him to keep closing his eyes until he fell unconscious? He didn't want to open his eyes just to see a bloody mess of his own body after all.

But even if he did not want to, there was someone who would forcefully do it for him.

"Wakey~ wakey~ It's time to wake up you, sleepyhead!"

After hearing that unfamiliar voice, Yoro could feel an ominous feeling raised inside his chest. So he hurriedly rolled to the side and got on his feet, dodging the hammer that fell to where he was lying before.

CRACKK!

"ott~o, I don't expect you to dodge that."

Now with both of his eyes open, Yoro could see what just happened in front of him.

Standing there was a teen boy that might or not have the same age as Yoro, with black hair and equally black eyes to match it. His skin was white like milk and his face was perfect like it was chiseled by the god himself. And on that same face, plastered a bored expression as if he did not care about every and anything in here.

"What the…(actual fuck is going on here!?)" [Yoro]

A hammer….no, a warhammer had planted on the ground with cracks spreading everywhere at the impact point where he was lying before.

Yoro unconsciously let out the first and the second words at such a sight. But the rest was stuck in his throat when he saw that very teenager was raising the hammer to his shoulder leisurely without any effort at all

That big warhammer could easily weigh around 30 pounds, so it was normal for Yoro to freak out like that considering this teen could hold that big warhammer as if it was some small branch he picked up from somewhere.

"Well~l that is making it easier for me. I don't have much that time just to wake someone up after all." (???)

'And who in the world would wake someone up by that means!' Yoro screamed a tsukkomi in his mind at this person's absurdness while barely holding himself from lashing him out.

But fortunately, he could calm himself down for the time and held his legs from running away from this dangerous creature. Yoro somehow had a hunch that this guy would fling the hammer as soon as he saw any sign of escaping from him.

"W- well alright, l-let's calm your guts down for now, okay?" (Yoro)

'Wait, why was he going away!?' (Yoro)

Just when Yoro wanted to show he was not a hostile person, that boy started walking away with his back facing him. Leaving Yoro slack-jawed in his place.

"W-wait! Where—" (Yoro)

"Where am I going? Where is this place? Who am I? Why are you here? Bla~ Bla~ Bla~. Well, I am tired of that shit, so let me cut the chase and got to the point."

He sighed after saying those and threw a paper at Yoro. From his bored face, Yoro somehow could guess he had already done something like this a dozen times and already full of it.

Setting aside why that teen could read his mind just now, Yoro looked at the paper that filled with all kinds of questions you could think of about his current situation. Reading it briefly, he then glanced at that teen who previously stood a couple of meters away from him, just to see he was completely gone from his vision….from this place….magically.

Yoro shook his head and back to read the paper, sighing under his breath while hoping it was not some kind of ticket to hell due to his overwhelmingly many sins he did consciously or unconsciously in his past life.

"huh?...."

But when he completed reading that, he could not help but to make such a voice. Different from what he expected, it was a paper that explained everything about his current state as the teen said before rather than his first and last ticket to hell, fortunately.

In short of what was written in there, it seemed he was now located at the gap between two worlds, the place called Administrator domain. And that teen just now was the owner of this place, or in other words, the administrator himself who managed the anomaly and stray otherworlder like him.

The body he was controlling now also was not his original body, but rather, it was the incorporeal one that had been made according to the latest record on his soul. It was also explaining why there was no wound at all after that incident when he supposedly had blood all over his body.

It also made him throw the idea that this was some kind of prank made by not so amusing people or some scientist that was trying to put their experiment on humans. And it proved that this was real, and he needed to accept that just like that so he would not lose his sanity.

Back to the topic, it was written that he would soon be moved again to another world after all of his business here was done.

Yes, another world. Apparently, he was another anomaly created by the unknown troublemaker on earth (it was truck-kyun of course). So he, as that very anomaly, needed to be removed from earth for stabilizing the world balance.

Rather than eliminating him, he was given the privilege to cross the world himself, and that was where the transmigration thingy came to play.

He would be transmigrated to the world called Eus, a world with many more new elements that earth didn't have such as magic, mana, and other existence that one would never find on earth.

He could learn many new things there as he basically restarted his life anew.

But for Yoro, it only meant one thing.

'So I would not be let to die in peace that easily….' Yoro thought while groaning internally.

"etto~...there is also another thing written here." And realizing there was also something written in the back, he then proceeded to read it all.

"I would be given…..a cheat?"

He could not believe his eyes at first. But when he read it all over again, he was convinced so as it seemed that it was really the case.

The cheat that would be given to him according to the Karma accumulated in his past life, so the thing he was going to get would be just and fair. But in case it was minus, he would still give one. But it was at the lowest level, bordering insignificant even.

"To get the cheat, rip the paper off and the procedure would be started….huh"

He was hesitant at first, weighing whether it would be a wise choice or not. After all, he was located in nowhere, and this paper was the only thing that could guide him, or at least be a clue to his way out.

"But in the end, I have no choice but to do it, aren't I?"

Ripping the paper into two pieces, it then turned into uncountable light particles that scattered to the surrounding. As if it followed some kind of  command and system, the light particle then gathered in one place, forming some kind of wheel of fortune machine he saw at the gambling den on earth

And as he expected, the light really turned into one, revealing a big wheel machine. The difference was just with the word: "cheat" above the machine.

".....really….?" He murmured as his hand started getting sweaty from nervousness about this unbelievable reality.
