The City Of Exeem At 6 AM.
An old man in a black suit was walking around in the city, seemingly remembering the things he was seeing. Godo was currently walking around the city. He had been walking for almost 10 minutes now, and had seen many and different stores and inns alike.
He knew many different stores now, including where they were located in the city. For example, right besides the inn that they were currently staying at, there was a bookstore. And a few steps ahead of the bookstore, there were many private houses owned by various people. It was a small living area.
After walking for a bit, one could see the bazaar. It was still a bit early so there weren't many stalls or stands there.
Still, even in the morning, there were already different stalls and stands standing there, some were selling meat, some were selling vegetables, some selling fruits, some selling equipments, some selling jewelry, some selling ornaments and what not. There were even some who were selling a few of each of the things mentioned.
After walking out of the bazaar, it was the major living area of the city. Many many, inns and bars, restaurants and houses, and a few family owned stores. Every store in this area was owned by people living around this part of the city. There was also a bank situated here.
After walking around for a bit more, Godo decided to go back, he had already seen enough. After going back to his room, he saw that Shuya was still sleeping soundly. Deciding that it was already time to wake up, he shook him a little bit. Shuya slowly opened his eyes and mumbled.
"What? I don't wanna get up yet."
Godo looked at him and chuckled, ignoring his pleads, he shook him again but a bit harder this time. Shuya opened his eyes again and mumbled.
"Oh, gramps, its just you. Can i sleep for a few more minutes please?"
"Oh no no no. You can't. Its 6 in the morning right now, you have to go out and train don't you?"
Shuya was still quite tired and mumbled again,
"Train? Oh yeah. Okay I'll come down."
Saying this Shuya slowly started to go to sleep again. Seeing this Godo decided to 'prank' him. He firstly went near the door and stood there and started to use magic. He called forth one of his fused magic, the invisible water, and slowly started to hover it on top of Shuya's face.
*drip
A drop of water fell on Shuya's forehead. Feeling the cold sensation of water, Shuya opened his eyes to see what it was. Seeing nothing he quickly forgot about it and closed his eyes again.
But then suddenly, he felt a big mug of water flowing down on his face. Right when he felt this he quickly woke up and looked around. Godo wasn't anywhere to be seen. He started to shake his head to shake off the 'water'.
Then he stood up and went to the window. He looked down at the backyard and saw Godo already doing some warmups. He felt a bit scared about what just happened so he quickly dressed himself up and went down.
'A perfect plan for waking someone up.' thought Godo smirkingly.
"I'm here gramps."
"Good morning Shuya."
"Good morning. Gramps, did you know? There was a very strange thing which woke me up today. It seemed like water but there was nothing there when i tried to see what it was. Do you think it could be a ghost or a spirit of some sort?"
"What are you going on about Shuya. You were probably sleep dreaming and somehow convinced yourself about it. Now let's go and train." said Godo while he was laughing in his mind.
"Okay gramps, if you say so."
'But I'm sure it was not fake.'
Then they started to train. Of course not before they did the warmup regiment.
Training sequence.
After 1-2 hours of training. They decided to use Godo's magic to cleanse themselves somehow. After they did this, they felt refreshed, just like taking a bath. Then they went back inside and just sat around and did some stuffs.
When suddenly Godo asked Shuya.
"Hey Shuya, why did you become an adventurer?"
"Umm, why the sudden question?"
"I wanted to know your goal and the reason to that."
"Umm, ok. It doesn't hurt to tell you anyway. Well, when i was around 7 years old i think? My brother who at the time was 15 years old, decided to go out and become an adventurer.
He left with a special sword smithed by the village blacksmith and some leather armor made by our parents. He used to send letters back home every now and then, but one month went by, and two months then three months. He stopped sending letters back home, i was 12 at the time."
"We thought he had become successful as a few years had passed so we didn't care too much about it. And a few weeks later, a man who addressed himself as my brother's friend came to tell me about a message from my brother. He wasn't hurt or anything but said something that made me really want to go out and become and adventurer too."
"Oh, so you became and adventurer because of your brother? What is his rank in the guild though. Was he well known when you departed from your village?"
"Ahaha, yeah. When i departed from my village, i think he should have been around an S-rank."
"So you want to reach that level of success too? Is that your goal?"
"Yeah thats basically it. I just want to become successful by adventuring." answered Shuya in an excited tone.
Godo smiled and said,
"Well good luck. I'll probably be still around when you become that successful, don't forget about me when you become that successful." said Godo in a joking manner.
