Yamano wakes up in his queen size bed in his room. For the first time, Yamano can feel the pleasure of deep sleeping.
" That feels so good. I never feel so relaxed in my life." Yamano talked to himself.
Yamano walks towards the bathroom and takes a refreshing bath. After that, Yamano wears a blue-collar shirt with black slacks.
Suddenly, someone is ringing the doorbell. When Yamano look at the peek hole on the door, he can see Dr Sarah Lensz jumping in front of the door.
" Yamano-kun. I know that you're standing behind the door. Come on, we need to go now." Sarah said.
Yamano opens the door and said...
"Dr Lensz?? What are you talking about??" asked Yamano.
" Come on. This is a special day for you. You're going to choose your very own monster-girl wife." said the little doctor.
Yamano is completely surprised when hearing what Dr Sarah just said.
" Don't you think it's...you know... so sudden??" Yamano said.
" Come on, we know that you want to start your very own family. It's a huge leap for you. Let's go, I will help you out but first, we're going to eat breakfast at the food court" Sarah said.
" Just wait for a second. I need to comb my hair." Yamano said.
" Can I come in??" Sarah said.
" Oh, sure. Come in." Yamano replied.
Sarah quickly enters Yamano's room. Everything is clean and organized. One thing is for sure, Yamano is an organized person.
" Did you get enough sleep yesterday??" Sarah asked.
" Sure. I never felt so much relaxed when I woke up." Yamano said while combing his hair.
" What about the free vending machine?? Have you eaten anything in it?? asked Sarah.
" There's a lot of junk food, fast food, instant food. I will eat it when I'm bored. So far, I only eat the potato bread from that vending machine. It's so delicious" Yamano replied.
Sarah whispers to herself.
" It's true. He always chooses his favourite potato bread to eat first." Sarah said.
" What??" Yamano asked.
" Nothing. Let's go to the food court. We will eat breakfast with my client." Sarah said.
Finally, Yamano and Sarah walk out of the room as Yamano locks the door. As they are on their way to the food court, Sarah holds Yamano's hand.
"Dr Lensz, what are you doing??" asked Yamano.
" Just holding your hand. I tend to get left behind when walking with someone. You won't mind, right??" told Sarah.
" If you say so. You look like someone's daughter with the heights of yours." Yamano said.
" I know. It's funny when people mistake me for children. I am a full-grown adult, you know. Just a faulty experiment makes me look like this." Sarah said it to Yamano.
" I see. Dr Lensz, where's Darren??" asked Yamano.
" I'm so sorry. He cannot join us for today. He must complete his mission for today." Said Sarah.
" Sure, Dr Lensz." Yamano said.
" Can you please stop calling me "Dr Lensz"?? I'm older than anyone else in this place. Call me "Sarah-neechan"." Sarah pouted.
" Well, that's awkward." Yamano is shy to say it.
" Go on, try it. Soon, you'll probably love calling me Sarah-neechan." Sarah jokingly said it to Yamano.
" Alright, alright. Sarah....neechan." Yamano blushed.
" Hahaha. That's how you do it. Look, we are here." Sarah felt happy hearing it from Yamano's mouth.
When they enter the food court, Sarah is searching for his client and spots him.
" Let's go, Yamano-kun." Sarah grabs Yamano's hand and brought him to the clients. As they are about to reach the table, Yamano is looking at a slightly blonde hair, pale skin, young man sitting with a white-haired woman with tan skin but she has different pair of ears, different than normal human ears.
" We are here. How are you guys doing?" Sarah asked the couples.
" You're late, Sarah-neechan." told the man.
When the couple looks at Sarah, both of them see Yamano standing behind Sarah.
" I'll be damned." the man slowly stand.
His eyes stare at Yamano's eyes. Looks like they are about to start a fight.
" What are you doing here, Yamano Yusuri??" the man asked.
" I should ask you the same question, Akihito Yajima." Yamano replied.
" You guys. Stop it. You cannot fight here." Sarah scared.
The woman that sits with Akihito said...
" This is...interesting." she said.
" Let's settle the score here, Yamano. I can't wait to beat your sorry ass." Akihito clenched his fist.
" Bring it on. You know I'm going to win somehow." Yamano clenched his fist too.
Both of them continue to stare at each other. Sarah was so scared because something is about to happen. Suddenly, Yamano and Akihito are laughing.
" Come hug it out, little bro." Akihito opens his arm.
" Aniiki." Yamano smiled.
Yamano and Akihito hug each other. Sarah is confused while the unknown woman smiles when looking at Yamano and Akihito.
" How's it been, little bro?? We were worried about you." Akihito pet Yamano's back.
" I'm good. What are you doing here, Aniiki??" Yamano asked his big brother.
" Ummmm. About that." Akihito is shy to say.
Dr Sarah slowly walks towards Yamano and Akihito.
" I thought that both of you are going to fight here. Just forget what I just said. Yamano-kun, I don't know you have a brother??" said Sarah.
" No. I'm his adopted big brother. My family took Yamano as our family member and one day, he decided to live on his own. Now, look at him. He's here now. I never felt so happy to see him." Akihito said.
" Let's just continue our conversation here. May we sit here??" asked Sarah.
" Sure. Take a seat." Akihito replied.
Yamano sits beside Sarah while Akihito sits beside the unknown monster-girl.
" Yamano, meet your new big sister and my wife, Kurumi Yajima. She is a monster girl. She is a ghoul species that I loved so much." Akihito holds Kurumi's hand.
" That's so flattering, Honey. My Akihito didn't tell me that he is a big brother of the infamous Yamano Yusuri. I wish that you can accept me as your big sister." Kurumi holds Akihito's hand and looks at Yamano.
" Of course. Aniiki is a great guy. You are lucky to have him as your husband. He can be a bit goofy sometimes but.. he is loyal and always be by your side until the end." Yamano told Kurumi.
" Thanks. So how about you, Yamano?? When will you choose your very own monster-girl wife??" Akihito asked Yamano.
" Maybe today. Sarah-neechan is going to help me with the process." Yamano said.
" Well, good luck then. It took me three days to find the right monster girl. Don't worry, just follow the instructions and you'll make it." said Akihito.
" Well, look at the time. Yamano-kun, you need to eat some breakfast." Sarah told Yamano to hurry up.
[ Twenty minutes later. ]
" Goodluck, little bro. Go find your true love. I already found my true love." Akihito holds Kurumi's hand.
" It's nice to meet you, Yamano-kun. Just take it easy when selecting the monster-girl species." said Kurumi.
Both of them hugs Yamano and went to their room. Meanwhile, Sarah and Yamano are walking towards the south side of the Headquarters.
" There's a lot of office and departments here, Sarah-neechan." Yamano felt amazed.
" The south side of the Headquarters are mostly office and other departments that focusing on helping monster-girl to cooperate with human. The Coordinators, they doing a great job, I tell you that." Sarah said.
" Coordinators??" asked Yamano.
"Coordinator is a group of person that protect, help and teach monster-girl on how to live together with human. To help monster-girl, they must train themselves physically, mentally and they must recognize the species of the monster-girl without referring to Monster-girl Encyclopedia. There are also five levels to determine which Coordinator is superior. Most of the Coordinators here are Level One to Level 5." Sarah told Yamano.
" What about Level 4 and Level 5??" Yamano said.
" It's dangerous for a normal human. There's one time that a snobby Level-3 Coordinators took a Level-4 test. When the physical training started, the training is so intense, his spirit broke and he went crazy. But thank goodness, if we're too late to save him, he'll probably lose both of his arms and both of his legs." Sarah told the story to Yamano.
" I just thinking. What will happen if someone manages to train themselves into Level-5 Coordinators." Yamano thinks.
" One thing for sure. Anyone that able to finish the L-5 Coordinators are not human anymore. They will break the boundaries. They are....monsters."
Finally, Yamano and Sarah arrive at the Monster-girl Selection Room.
" Here we are. This is the place that determines the monster-girl species that will become your wife.
" I don't know. I'm kinda nervous about this." Yamano is nervous.
There are still few workers that working in the room. When they saw Yamano, they feel excited because Yamano is famous even he didn't know how he can become famous at the Headquarters. A few minutes later, Yamano and Sarah walk inside the room, a pitch-black room with a mysterious, crystal clear orb in the middle.
" What's this??" Yamano checked the orb.
" It is good to be curious about something. This is " The Orb Of Destiny".
Yamano suddenly laugh.
" Hahaha. What a cliche name for a crystal orb." Yamano laughed.
" I won't laugh at it if I was you. The orb can predict the exact time of the people's lifespan." Sarah has been serious.
Yamano suddenly stops laughing. Sarah knew that Yamano is scared.
" Why the long face?? I'm just kidding. Besides, I'm not the one who gave a name to this orb." Sarah jokingly smacked Yamano's back.
Yamano rubbed his chest a sign of relief.
" I'm so scared." Yamano is still nervous.
" Let's jump to the action. Yamano-kun, place both of your hands on the orb. In 10 seconds, the orb will show you what type of monster-girl that will become your companion for the rest of your life." told Sarah.
" But, Sarah-neechan. I don't know if I'm ready for this. I don't know if this is a good plan at the very beginning." Yamano is nervous.
Slowly, Sarah pats Yamano so he can calm himself down.
" ...and I will teach you all I know about living with monster-girl because you are my responsibility. Now, just smile, be confident and don't forget to take a breath." Sarah hugged Yamano.
Sarah hugs Yamano for a few seconds. Then, Sarah releases Yamano. He nodded and turn his attention to the orb.
" Ready." Yamano put his hands on the orb.
The orb begins to glow. The light started to flow on Yamano's arm.
" Sarah-neechan, what's happening??" Yamano asked.
" Whatever you do, don't let go of the orb. The orb is trying to scan your memories about the first time you saw a monster-girl species that you admired the most." Sarah told Yamano.
" The time I arrived here is the first time I saw monster-girl." Yamano replied.
The light begins to flow back inside the orb. Suddenly, a huge hologram-like image was on top of the orb.
" Sarah-neechan, are you alright??" Yamano asked Sarah.
" I'm good." Sarah slowly stand.
Sarah turns her attention to the hologram. The hologram will show what species that Yamano's heart has chosen.
" Wow, that's....quite beautiful." Sarah wiped the happy tears on her cheek.
" What did I get??" Yamano asked.
" Congratulations, Yamano-kun. Your heart chooses "Nekogirl". After this, you will live a wonderful life with a Neko girl."
" That's great. I love cats." Yamano smiled.
