Yamano and Miko ran towards the front door of the Nekogirl Selection Room without looking back. Once they are out, Yamano and Miko take a deep breath. Yamano turns his attention to his companion till the end of time, Miko.
"Miko-chan. Thank you...for choosing me as your husband. I swear that I will make your life and my life to be wonderful together no matter what."Yamano promised Miko.
Miko replied with a gentle smile.
" Nyaa nyaaan." Miko smiled.
" Good. Let's go see Sarah-neechan right now." Yamano grabbed Miko's hand with his soft touch.
Outside Nekogirl Selection Room, there is a waiting room. Yamano and Miko entered the room and can only find a little girl in a lab coat sleeping on the sofa. It's none other than Dr Sarah Lensz herself. She tucked herself so she can warm her body because of the cool temperature in the waiting room.
" Is that Sarah-neechan?? Even she sleeps, she looks like a lost little girl." said Yamano.
When Yamano walks towards Dr Lensz, Miko stops him and let her wake Sarah up.
" Nya, nyaa nyan nya." Miko told Yamano to stop.
" Ok. I will stay here." Yamano agreed.
Miko slowly walks towards the little girl and slowly poking her soft cheek.
"Nyaa nya. Nyaa nya." Miko poked Sarah's cheek.
Miko's strategy starting to work. Sarah started to give respond by twitching her cheek. She begins to murmur in her sleep.
" Hmmm...." Sarah woke up.
Sarah needs her glasses to see what is in front of her.
" What?!?! Who is it?? Who are you??" Sarah wiped her eyes.
Sarah wears his glasses and is completely surprised when she sees Miko is looking at her, straight to her eyes.
" Oh my goodness. Miko, how wonderful to see you here. It's such a long time. How are you??" Sarah asked.
"Nyaa nya, nyaan. Nyaaa nyan nyaa nyaaaa??" Miko replied.
" I know. Thanks for asking. By the way, Miko-chan. You can't be here. You know the rules, you cannot walk outside your Selection Room if you still didn't find your soulmate unless...." Sarah turns her attention to someone who is standing behind Miko.
Sarah looks and turns out that Yamano is the one standing behind Miko. Smile starting to spark on Sarah's face.
" CONGRATULATIONS, YOU TWO!!!" Sarah quickly clapped her hand.
She's jumping with joy. She hugs Miko and Yamano at the same time. Both Miko and Yamano just smiled looking at this mysterious little doctor.
"Before we continue. Yamano-kun, let me see your Love Seeker." asked Sarah.
Yamano unplugged the device from his wrist and give it to Sarah. She opens the device and looks at the monitors.
" Let me check. Hmm.. two fragments become hearts and red in colour. Congratulations, you are officially husband and wife. Yamano-kun, Miko-chan, would you mind placing your thumb on the monitor here." Sarah holds the monitor.
Yamano and Miko place their thumb on the monitor and suddenly, a hidden compartment has open, revealing a pair of rings. Silver ring for Yamano and a golden ring for Miko.
" Wear this. This will show you that the love between you two are precious and will stay on forever." Said Sarah.
"I like the sound of that. What about you, Miko?? Will you share your life with me??" Yamano asked Miko, his wife.
"Nyaan, nyaa nyaaan."Miko replied in a joyful tone.
"To make things sweet. Miko-chan, have you decided what to call your new husband?" Sarah calmly asked.
" Darling, nyaan." Miko smiled.
Hearing that word, Yamano started to blush. His face started to turn red. How powerful. With only one word, Yamano's heart started to beat faster than usual.
"I won't mind...if you call....me that." Yamano turns his face elsewhere, to hide his blushing face.
" Wow!! Look how effective it is. I'm happy for you guys. Well. You two can go now. We will meet again tomorrow. Go spend time with each other. Miko-chan, we will deliver your belongings to Yamano's room, okay??" said Sarah.
Miko nodded. She turns his attention to Yamano.
"Yamano-kun, congratulations. You are a lucky young man. You just got yourself one of the most beautiful and the cutest nekogirl in this place. Although she looks like a tomboy with her short haircut, the way she dressed also look like a tomboy, she is a soft-hearted nekogirl and can be clingy sometimes." Sarah congratulated Yamano.
"You have my word, Sarah-neechan. I will take care of her with all of my heart." Yamano saluted Sarah.
" Good. Off you go, now. You guys deserved each other." Sarah replied.
Miko quickly holds Yamano's hand and take him out of the waiting room.
"Nyaan nyaan, Darling."Miko grabbed Yamano's hand.
" Okay, okay." Yamano followed Miko.
When Yamano and Sarah walked out of the room, Sarah forgot to ask Yamano one important thing.
" Wait a minute?? Did Yamano-kun just understand what Miko said after all this time??" Sarah started to confuse.
Meanwhile, outside the waiting room...
" So, Miko-chan. What should we do now??"Yamano asked.
" Nyaa nya nyaan." Miko shakes her head.
Suddenly, Miko's stomach started to growl. Because of this, Miko starts to blush in front of Yamano. Her face started to turn red like a tomato.
" Nyaa nyaan~~" Miko embarrassed.
" It's okay. There's no need to say sorry. If you are hungry, I will buy some food for you. Anything you want." Yamano said.
"Nyaaa??"Miko replied.
"Yes, my love. Anything..."Yamano replied.
Miko quickly drags Yamano to the food section of the Headquarters.
"Woah, Miko-chan. Wait for me." Yamano walked with Miko
Five minutes later, Yamano and Miko arrive at the food court where delicious delicacies from all around the world were sold. Drool starts to flow on Miko's lips. First, they went to a bakery beside the main entrance of the food court. Miko look so excited when entering the bakery.
" So, Miko-chan. What should we buy here??" Yamano asked.
"Nyaan nyaa. Nya nyaa nyaan nyaa nyan." Miko replied.
" If you say so. I will stay here or wander around the bakery." Yamano said.
" Nya nyaan, Darling." Miko feels enthusiastic.
She went to buy all sorts of food there. When Yamano look at Miko, he thinks about one thing.
"I think that my wife has a huge appetite kind-of person. I like that." Yamano smiled.
Yamano continue to wander around the bakery when suddenly, he smelled something familiar.
" Wait. What is that smell?? The smell that I didn't smell for a very long time." Yamano wondered.
He follow the source of the scrumptious scent and found it. It's the smell of freshly baked potato buns. Yamano's eyes widens as he remembered the day he first ate the potato buns. Again, he smiled and he looks like a child who's waiting for his food to finish preparing.
"I. MUST. BUY. THAT. POTATO. BUNS." Yamano screamed inside his heart.
He quickly went to the display counter and grabbed a three-pack of freshly baked potato buns.
"I got it." Yamano joyfully grabbed the buns.
He slowly smelled it. Nostalgia hit him hard like how a truck hit someone and transport them to an alternate world. Miko just wondering what her darling husband doing.
" Darling, nyaa nya nyan??" Miko asked.
" Oh. After so many years, I tried to find this bun and I've found it here." Yamano showed Miko the potato buns.
Nyaa?? Miko tilted her head as she do not understand what Yamano said.
"Ten years living in Human World, these very delicacies are so hard to find. It's like searching a needle in the middle of a haystack." Yamano explained.
Miko started to ask when she heard the word '"needle"
" Nya nyaan nya nyaan nyaa???" Miko asked.
" No, Miko-chan. It's just an idiom. You don't know about it but it's okay. Maybe I will teach you later." Yamano petted Miko's head.
Yamano suddenly turns his attention to Miko's bakery tray and is quite surprised. She took a lot of pastries and buns.
"Wow. Miko-chan, that's a lot of stuff you took." said Yamano.
Miko starts to blush because it's....not normal for a woman to eat a lot.
"Nya nyaan nyaa nyaa, nyaan??"Miko blushed.
Luckily, Yamano replied this.
"It's okay, Miko-chan. I'm quite fond of a woman with big appetites. You can grow up healthy and strong."Yamano smiled.
Miko begin to smile when heard such a thing. Yamano and Miko, together, to the counter to pay for all the food they bought. A middle-aged man is waiting at the counter.
"Welcome to Minazuki Bakery. Home of the sweet and scrumptious potato bread and other pastries, cakes and after this, pizza. How can I help you, son." the man said.
"Yes. I want to pay for all of this, please." Yamano and Miko put all the food they bought.
"Wow. That's so many. We have to shut down this store early if we are out of stocks for today." the man jokingly said.
Yamano and Miko smiled. The middle-aged man smiled too.
" She looks so beautiful for a nekogirl. Believe me, I have a monster girl as a wife and she looks so beautiful. Who is she, your girlfriend??" the man asked.
"Actually, she is my wife. We just got married today."Yamano replied.
"Congratulations on the wedding. You two were meant for each other." the man praised.
"What about you, are the owner of this fine establishment??"Yamano asked.
" No. I'm just the manager for this bakery only. Unlike the CEO, he managed to open this very bakery all over the place for example, here. In this very Headquarters." the manager smiled.
While the manager explained, Yamano open his wallet and grabbed a platinum card given to him by Dr Sarah.
"Here you go, sir." Yamano gave the card.
The man scanned the card.
"Wow. You're an honorary member of the Headquarters. You know that you can get a lot of things for free??" the manager said.
" I didn't know that."Yamano is surprised.
" But don't overuse it, okay, or we will go bankrupt." the manager said.
" You have my word." Yamano promised
"Good. Thank you for purchasing in this very bakery, Mister...."The manager looked at the monitor
It shows Yamano Yusuri on the cash register's monitor. The middle-aged man was completely shocked.
" I'll be damned. You are Yamano Yusuri. The honorary member of the Headquarters." the man stunned.
"Yes. I am Yamano Yusuri." said Yamano.
"I cannot believe it. JACKSON!!!!" the manager called one of his employees.
"Yes, sir?? What is it??" Jackson asked.
"The person standing in front of me is Yamano Yusuri." the manager felt excited.
Jackson looks at Yamano and Miko.
"Wait. I'll go get that camera." Jackson screamed as he rushed to the office.
"Wait. I don't think that you should..." Yamano said.
"It's okay, son. You are much more famous than any other celebrity here. Plus, it's good for our marketing purposes." the manager replied.
Once Jackson walks out with a camera, all the bakers walk out from the kitchen, just to catch a picture together with Yamano.
"Mino if we take a picture with you??" one of the bakers asked for Yamano's permission.
"There's no turning back now."Yamano sighed.
All of them form a line and Yamano stand in the middle. Miko felt kinda awkward standing behind the camera when the manager called her. She felt so down because she will miss the whole fun.
" Excuse me, Ms?? Come here. Please join us."The manager said.
Without a word, Miko quickly stood beside her darling husband and hugged him.
" Nyaa~~" Miko hugged Yamano.
" That's so quick, Miko." Yamano said.
Meanwhile, Jackson is setting the camera on timer mode.
" Okay, you guys. Just smile and don't do any absurd hand signs. This picture is for marketing purposes." Jackson said.
He touched the trigger button and the camera is set for ten seconds to catch the picture. Yamano tried his best to smile since he's not that good at being on camera. Miko slowly holds Yamano's hand and tell him this.
" Nya nyaa nyan." Miko smiled.
When hearing that word, Yamano begins to smile as wide as he can but his face is calm.
Snap!! The camera catches the picture. The bakers are satisfied because they got the opportunity to spend their time with Yamano Yusuri.
" Back to work. We still have a lot more things to do."The manager said.
All the bakers when to the kitchen to continue their work. The manager thanked Yamano and Miko.
" Thank you so much. Come visit us sometime. We're doing pizza after this." The manager joyfully said.
"Yes, we will." Yamano said.
The manager packed all the food and pastries Yamano and Miko bought in a tote bag and send them to the entrance.
"Thank you. Come back soon." the manager said.
The manager walked towards the counter and said...
"Such a wonderful kid those two. Jackson, go print that picture." the manager asked.
" Wait, sir. You might wanna look at these pictures." Jackson called.
Jackson showed the picture and compared it with another picture on his phone.
"That nekogirl. I think I knew from somewhere. Wait wait wait. It cannot be."Jackson whispered.
" What are you talking about? She looks fine to me." the manager said.
" Take a look at these two pictures." Jackson showed the picture from the camera and one from a phone.
"OH MY GOD!! That pretty nekogirl... No, it cannot be.." The manager was completely shocked.
Suddenly, he sighed full of relief.
"Good thing I treated both of them with good services." the manager smiled.
Meanwhile, Yamano and Miko are heading towards Yamano's room which kinda looks like a penthouse. A few minutes later, they arrived. Yamano took the key from his pocket and opened the door. Both of them went in. Yamano put the food on the counter while Miko is looking for her stuff first to see if the management already moved her belongings to Yamano's room.
" Nyaa, nyan nyaa nyaaan nyaa."Miko praised.
" I know. There's so much stuff in the place that I don't even use. Like that arcade machine and the billiard table over there. I tried to live as modest as I can, Miko-chan."Yamano said.
Miko smiled and walked towards her husband.
"Nyaa nya nyaan nyaan nyaa nya nyaan." Miko kneeled in front of Yamano and slowly hold his hand.
"You like me when I'm being honest and modest?? Thank you so much, Miko-chan." Yamano said.
Yamano holds Miko's hand and kisses it. Miko begin to blush as she finally knew what is like to be loved by someone.
"I will help you unpack. After that, we will go eat some of the things you bought okay??" said Yamano.
Miko agreed as she and Yamano went to the bedroom's closet and unpack Miko's belonging. There's some minor incident where Yamano accidentally grab Miko's undergarments in her bag. Yamano completely blushed but Miko said it's fine because there's only the two of them in the room. Maybe Yamano is just not used to being alone with another woman. Miko smiled and said that Yamano need to adjust himself because he is now a husband. After that, they went to the kitchen to eat some of the food they bought.
"Let see what you bought from the bakery, Miko-chan." said Yamano.
" Food." Miko pointed to the food using her finger.
" I didn't know you can say that, Miko-chan."Yamano is surprised.
When Yamano unloads the food, Miko looks like a small child waiting for her food to be done.
"We got four Portuguese Egg Tart, five Blueberry Cheese Tart, three Banana Boat and two Potato Buns. Are you sure you're going to finish all of it??" asked Yamano.
Miko nodded. Yamano can finally confirm that Miko is a heavy eater. Meanwhile, Yamano took a plastic of potato buns and opens it.
" I want to eat this first. Wow. Nostalgia hits me real hard."Yamano opened the plastic.
He grabbed a slice and wanted to eat it when he sees Miko just open her mouth as she wants Yamano to feed him.
" Ahhhhhhhh."Miko opened her mouth.
Yamano noticed what Miko is trying to do so Yamano slowly feed Miko the buns.
Miko eats it where suddenly, she's starting to lick Yamano's hand.
" M-m-m-Miko-chan?? What are you doing??" Yamano shocked.
" Nyaa nyaan❤❤" Miko licked Yamano's hand.
Yamano can feel his heartbeat fast. No one does that to him, not even once. Miko continues to lick Yamano's finger.
" Maybe I should take a bath right now. See you later." Yamano quickly ran away from the embarrassment.
" Nyaaaaa~~~" Miko called her darling.
Yamano quickly went to the bathroom where he took his clothes off. He wears a short to cover his lower region. He quickly takes a look at the mirror. He noticed a strange mark on his chest.
" Huh... After all these years, I still didn't know how I got these marks." Yamano touched the mark on his chest.
Next, he walks inside the bathroom where Yamano get the bath ready and suddenly, someone knocked on the bathroom door.
" Darling~~~" Miko called from outside.
" What do you want, Miko?" Yamano asked.
" Nyaan, nyaa nya nyaaa nyan nyaa" said Miko.
" What?? You had trouble washing?? How can I trust you??" Yamano asked.
" Nyaa nyan nyaan~~." Miko replied.
" Oh. Now you said that cats had trouble washing themselves. I forgot that you are a nekogirl. Can you just wait outside? I will bathe you later." Yamano exclaimed.
" Nyaa~~~" Miko began to sigh heavily.
Yamano cannot let other people down when suddenly, he decided to let Miko in. His heart started to beat faster than usual. When Miko steps in, she only wears a towel that covered her chest. Miko's body looks a little bit slender but she looks just fine because her body measurements look just normal girl except she has cat ears on top of her head and tail behind her back.
" Darling~~" Miko called Yamano.
Yamano blushed heavily again. He tried not to look at his wife because this is the first time Yamano saw a woman wearing only a towel.
" Miko. Can you just go to the bathtub?? I will wash you up." Yamano still did not look at Miko.
Miko walked towards Yamano and grab his hand. Miko took his hand and put it on her head. Suddenly, Yamano's heartbeat slowly. He begins to calm himself down.
" I don't know you can do that?? Thank you, Miko. I feel quite comfortable now." Yamano smiled.
" Nyaa nyan." Miko smiled too.
Miko slowly took off her towels and revealed her body to Yamano. Yamano only take a pail, scoop the water and asked Miko to sit in the tub. Miko do what Yamano said. First, Yamano soaked Miko's hair with the water he scooped earlier. Because Miko's hair is short, it is easy for Yamano to wash it. After that, Yamano begin to clean himself up and Miko noticed the mark on Yamano's chest. She doesn't want to ask where did Yamano get that scar from. After that, Yamano use the towel to dry himself and use Miko's towel and wipe her.
Both of them walks outside the bathroom. Yamano and Miko went to the closet to wear their sleep attire. Yamano only wears a plain white t-shirt and long cotton trousers while Miko wears a tight blue t-shirt with black shorts.
The night has come where Yamano sleep with someone beside him. Both of them lay on the bed. Yamano took a blanket and covered himself and Miko. She looks so excited to sleep with Yamano.
Miko suddenly roll over to Yamano's side so she can cuddle up with the love of her heart
" Nyaa~~~" Miko snuggled with Yamano.
" Miko-chan. I want to ask you about something??" Yamano asked.
" Nyaa nyan??" Miko wondered.
" In that Selection Room, why did you choose me?? How do you know if I am the right person for you??" Yamano asked.
" Nyaa nyaan." Miko replied.
" You have seven senses ?? What's the extra two sense??" Yamano asked.
" Nyan nyan nya nyaaa nya nyan." Miko answered.
" You can sense someone's feeling and you also have mother's instinct. That's kinda fascinating." Yamano praised.
Miko started to yawn heavily and rested her head on Yamano's chest.
" We should get some sleep now. Good night, Miko." Yamano wished Miko good night.
Miko kissed Yamano's cheek and close her eyes to sleep. Yamano, too, close her eyes.
Now, Yamano won't live alone anymore because he has someone to take care of.
