"If I save her we're only putting more people in danger!" Prince Alexandre says once they get to the safety of his father's office.
"You will do this for your sister. I'm not giving you a choice." the Queen says as she turns and closes the blinds to the windows.
"Alex, look , you know I don't like you using your powers but I have to agree with your mother." The King says as he takes off his crown and tosses it to his desk. The crown joins the mess of his unkempt office.
"Mom, Dad, Listen I don't think it's safe to do this without-" Alexandre gets interrupted by the royal family scientist, James, who just happens to be the best friend to the King. "At this point in time she is stable and healing very quickly. The Statistics show that it would be reckless to go back in time and catch her."
The King stops and turns to James, "And what's your facts, what's the proof that we shouldn't change what happened? My daughter is lying unconscious and in surgery. Why shouldn't we stop all this from happening!?"
James sighs and brings up the security footage from the north tower. The King and Queen are cautious but end up deciding to watch the little screen. The sound of Aurelia's scream echoes through the silent office, Alexandre shudders and closes his eyes. Her terrified and solemn eyes piercing the darkness of his eyelids.
"I don't wanna die anymore." The words she said with tears sliding from her artic blue eyes. the Queen whimpers as she realizes that her daughter tried to kill herself that night and she had no clue as to why.
"Your Highnesses, as you can see if we change the timeline it is likely that she will try to make her life come to an end once more. This is very serious, when she fell down that staircase she didn't want to die she wanted to keep on living. If we take out the staircase and leave everything else the same she will not learn what life is worth." James says as he closes all feeds on his tablet.
"Mom, I know you want to save her but she was saved at that moment. We can't take that away. Plus if we change something that is important to her life it only comes back with more force." Alexandre says moving to put his hand on his mother's shoulder, trying to keep the emotion from his voice. As the king starts to say something they are interrupted by a knocking sound on the office doors.
The King quickly picks up his crown and puts it on; his voice bellows through the room, "Enter!"
A doctor in a white lab coat enters the room and informs the royal family, "she should be waking up soon. Everything looks as if things will work out in the end and I advise that you all be there when she awakes."
As the doctor finishes his statement Alexandre falls landing on the carpet with a muffled thud.
The Queen falls to her knees and flips Alexandre over so that he is laying flat on his back. "Something is wrong!"
"James, what's wrong with him? Is it their connection? Come on, you have to give me something." The king says in a frantic rush as he picks up his son. Rushing into the hospital wing to put him on a gurney.
