When Alexandre awakes he sees a bunch of people standing above him. In the brightened room he cannot see who they are. He has no clue where he is and why they are all crowding around him but he wants them gone. He just can't figure out how to communicate what he wants.
"What's wrong with him? And he keeps thinking about how he wants you guys gone. So maybe don't stand around him so close." The voice comes from a female in the bed next to him. She seems familiar but Alaxandre cannot figure out why.
He finds his words as the people get close to his face with metal objects that don't seem to make any sense, "I don't know what you think you're doing but you better get away from my face with those things!"
"Damein there's a block on his memories I can't get through. Just trying is making my head hurt more than it has been." The female says to the person beside her bed Alaxandre assumes is called Damein.
"Princess please don't strain yourself too hard after all you fell down a six story staircase. Plus if he really has forgotten your gonna need to stop him from doing something stupid. Especially since he has lost all his training."
"Wait, the person in my head was you?!" Alaxandre sits up and swings his legs over the side of the bed. The momentum carrying him farther than should be possible. Damein having fast reflexes catches him before he hits the floor.
"Careful of your strength; my prince you could really hurt yourself." Damien states as he rights Alexandre.
"Get your hands off of me. I don't know you and I am definitely not a prince. What I would like to know is why the heck she was in my head, how she did it and who she is." Alexandre says as he shoves out of Damien hold.
"You don't remember me. Alexandre it's me Aurelia we're the Rose twins. Please try to remember," Aurelia says with tears welling up in her eyes, "please"
"I'm sorry Aurelia but I don't remember you," Alexandre pauses for a moment clearly trying to figure something out, "If we really are twins does that mean I'm like you?"
'What do you mean? I'm not entirely sure that I understand your question.' Aurelia says tilting her head to the side a little like a confused puppy.
"You know what I mean. You were in my head, you were….." Alaxandre argues with Aurelia but then he pauses because he heard her voice but he didnt see her lips move. 'What is going on?' he keeps thinking; he sits down on his bed and puts his head in his hands.
'You know that this is normal right? We are telepathic twins, the first born in our family for seven generations. I know you think this is weird but if you take a deep breath and close your eyes you can surf through my memories like you're watching tv.' Aurelia speaks to Alexandre through their bond. 'Don't worry about hurting me, I can protect what you do. So go through my memories and try to remember please.'
'So whatever I'm thinking you can hear? And whatever you think I can hear. So we could have conversations with each other and nobody would be able to hear us?' While Alexandre thinks he lifts his head up and looks her in the eyes trying to see if she can really hear him.
She nods her head and responds, 'Yeah that's correct we do it all the time at school. Now relax and close your eyes, you might want to lay down, I'm going to reteach you everything I can. Starting at our memories and then going to how we use our powers. So hopefully this helps a little'
"Princess before you do anything may I speak with you?" James tells Aurelia. She nods her head and goes to sit up a little, "Sure but you'll have to come over here i'm not really in the posit-" she gets interrupted by
Lukas throws open the doors to the medical chamber and yells, "I'M SORRY I YELLED AT YOU! PLEASE DON'T THINK THAT I HATE YOU BECAUSE I DON'T!" He's on his knees grabbing Aurelia's hand, "Aurelia, please don't leave me."
She pulls her hand out of his and responds with an angered voice, "I wasn't leaving you I was leaving everyone least of all you now get out of here you oaf I have other things to worry about at this point in time. And if you don't leave willingly I'm sure Dameion would be happy to drag you out himself."
"No it's ok I'll leave but please come talk with me when you get the chance we have some things that shouldn be left unsaid" Lukas responds, there's a hint of sadness in his voice but at this point Aurelia doesn't care. He stands up and heads for the door
"So you and Lukas broke up? Or are you just arguing? Because if you are arguing I can come back later. I think you should worry more about that than you should worry about me. He kept thinking about the situation and saying it was partially his fault." Alexandre says to Aurelia
"Wow. You know even though you don't remember anything you still try to help me with relationships. Also how did you get into his head? It hurts to get into other people's minds." Aurelia responds with a light laugh
"Wait, so you're saying it's supposedly hard to read and manipulate people's minds? But everyone's heads are so loud it's easy to break in and…. Well here watch" Alex then goes and points his hand towards the doctor and manipulates him to grab the exacto-knife and then takes it up and holds it right next to the skin of his throat. He then pauses as he sees people looking at him with pure and utter horror. He turns his head to Aurelia to see what's wrong but what he hears from her head just makes him mad. He releases his grip on the doctor and stands from the bed and runs from the room, he comes around the corner and runs into a man and another doctor.
"Why are there so many of you and why will you NOT leave me alone!" Alexandre says he feels his power surging through his veins, a part of him wants to run and leave the castle but there is something fighting him. Then he realizes that it's not something but someone. "AURELIA GET OUT OF MY HEAD NOW. YOU'RE NOT WELCOME! JUST LET ME GO"
'Who do you think you are? Some powerful being? Someone to be feared? Wow you're just like you used to be. Self centered, scared of everyone and everything.' Aurelia's voice echoes through his head.
"THAT'S NOT TRUE! YES I'M SCARED. YES I AM POWERFUL. BUT I'M TERRIFIED. I DON'T WANT TO BECOME SOMETHING WEAK. IF THAT MEANS I HAVE TO BE A MONSTER THEN SO BE IT." Alexandre screams. He knows that they don't know what Aurelia said but he doesn't care anymore. He is done fighting to prove that he's better than the demons that have clouded his mind since the moment he woke up.
'Your not a monster Alex.' If possible her voice got quieter, there was no more echo she seemed almost scared that he had said that.
"OH REALLY WELL THEN PROVE IT! SHOW ME WHY I'M NOT A MONSTER! WHERE IS THE PROOF!" ALexandre screams. He's standing in the hallway, his parents and James are watching the prince scream at the walls in the hall while his powers flare up around him. The King tries to get to Prince Alexandre but James holds him back.
'Fine you want to know why you're not a monster? Here's the proof. And I apologize in advance, brother, this is gonna hurt.' Aurelia fires back at her brother. She can't see him but she feels his powers flaring and she feels the pain he's feeling as she forces him past his mental block and into his memories.
