'Take a trip down memory lane' Aurelia's voice echoes around his mind . Alexandre can't talk, he can't move it almost feels as though he's trapped in his mind. 'Your words won't work here brother'
A penetrating pain pierces Alexandre's skull. Then the area in front of him glitches and a paused memory lays out before him. The area is oddly familiar; the floors are gymnastic style floors with quite a bit more protection and padding. Alexandre can't help but wonder what the room is used for.
'Are you really that daft?' Alexandre is startled by the sound of his sister's voice echoing through his mind again.
'Well what do you want me to do? I can hardly move and you're in my head!' Alexandre gets angry with his sister but her voice remains calm as she talks to her tempered brother.
'I want you to stop and think, Alex. You're in your memories yet you still refuse to remember.' As he hears her he pauses and realizes that the memories are the thing holding him back.
"Don't you even try it fool" a voice echoes around the space in Alexandres mind.
'Aurelia did you hear that?' Alexandre confronts his sister trying to figure out who that was.
'Hear what?' Aurelia didn't hear anything but was shocked at the nervousness behind the thought.
'That voice just now.' He becomes alarmed.
'There wasn't a voice Alex. I'm sure it's fine' Aurelia pushed it aside, not worried to much; there's always been some runaway memories.
Alexandre turns back to the room around him and he sees that almost everything is in the air. It's floating. On one wall there is a rack full of giant heavy weights frozen near the ceiling that must be at least 100 feet up. Just below the weights is a window. It looks like this memory takes place in the middle of a storm then Alex notices that it is frozen in the middle of a glitch. Alexandre's eye gets caught by a flash of light off of something reflective. He turns around to see a tiara floating right next to the body of a girl. She's floating in the air, her hair is floating around her. A realization strikes Alexandre.
'Is that you Aurelia?' He seems at a loss for words. She can't be older than six.
'Yeah it is.' Aurelia's voice betrayed her she obviously doesn't like this memory.
'What happened?' Alex questions her even though he doesn't want the answer.
'I did,' she responds, 'It's hard to explain, you should just watch.'

There is a shrill scream that echoes throughout the room Aurelia floats a little higher and then all of the sudden a younger version of himself runs through the wall. There is a hole in the wall of the room that seemed to be trapping Aurelia in.
"Hold on Aurelia!"
"NO I DON'T WANT YOUR HELP! I need to be able to control it just like you did." the pain she's going through can be heard in her voice. There's a strain to everything she says. Alex can see she's fighting the take over.
"Look Aurelia, the takeover isn't something we have to fight alone! We are twins and there's a reason for that! The takeover is what decides our lives from here on out DO NOT let the power consume you!" Alex is trying to reach her but she keeps floating out of his reach while forcing him to keep his feet on the floor.
"YOU FOUGHT IT ALONE WH-" Alexandre interupts her.
"NO I DIDN'T. I felt you and had you supporting me through it all. I would have lost without you. So PLEASE let me help you!" Alex feels his feet release and sees Aurelia float down towards him.
He grabs her hand and they become level with each other. The bright fluorescent lights flicker as the surge of power courses throughout the room. The hole made by Alexandre fixes itself as the weights crash to the floor. There is the start of a swirling cloud of red around the floating twins. As a pair of voices echo from the red smoke.
"Let the power consume you Alexandre, let the monster out."
"Let the power consume you. AURELIA LET ME TAKE CONTROL!!"
•••
Alexandre double takes at the voices coming from the red smoke. One of them sounded exactly like the voice from earlier.
•••
"Oh and what's the advantage of that? You gonna catch me when I fall? Ha! Doubt it." The younger Alexandre taunts the voice.
"Not the TIME Alex!!" Aurelia sends a side glare to her brother
"It's always the time sis!" A laugh rolls easily off of little Alexandre's lips.
"Foolish little boy. One day you will lose the never ending battle between us and when that day comes I will willingly be the monster in control"
"I will never lose because no matter what you don't exist without me." There is venom dripping from the words falling from Alex's mouth. And the pure rage quiets the beast like voice.
"My darling little brat why don't you let me take control for a little so that I can show you real power."
"No. I will not let you win, I will fight you until the day I take my last breath" Aurelia finally accepts the power that's surging within her and she is becoming the master. She won't let the power consume her.
•••
The memory has ended and Alexandre is pushed back into darkness.
'Aurelia whose voices were those?' Alex has a sinking suspicion
'They are ours. Brother, why do you ask?' His sister's voice carries quite a bit of concern.
'Because I heard him earlier.' Alexandre is starting to connect the dots as to what caused the memory block. Meanwhile Aurelia is trying to break out of the memories in Alex's head.
'What exactly did the voice say to you?' The concern is now gone from Aurelia's voice; it's been replaced by an alarming amount of distress.
"Now it's my turn to show you both something."
