Running through the woods I felt my night black hair blowing in the winds as I picked up speed. Heading for home making sure not to trip and fall flat on my face, it may not hurt me as much as it would hurt a human but I'd still rather not fall over flat on my face.
Behind me the sun was starting to set, so I picked up some speed and ran even faster I definitly am not running at any speed a human could right now. Luckily there aren't any humans in this forest. As I looked through the forest I saw my family mantion come into view.
We may be half wolf but we are rich in both the wolf and human world's and technically being wolf royalty we should live well and have room to house other wolves when they need it.
As I rapidly approached the mansions gate I extended my hand to push it open not stopping after I swang it open. I ran to the steps the sound of the gates shutting a whisper in the winds behind me, slowing down I reached up to open the door I still am not tall enough to reach the handle without extending my arm.
Placing my hand on the glimmering gold handle I twisted it and with a slight "click" I pushed the door open stepping inside my home. I turned around and closed the door so as to make sure not to slam it shut, my farther always dislikes it when doors are slammed however he slams doors.
"Selene it's getting late out I expected you home earlier" I heard an all so family voice say behind me. Turning around I saw my farther was standing in a black blazer with black pants and a white top which was un done at the top. His shoes were shined and his hair was neatly brushed he had obviously been in meetings with work.
"Sorry farther" I said "I didn't mean to be late home but I saw a poor baby bird had fallen from its nest and it's parents were very worried. So I stopped to help the little bird out it delayed me on my travels home as well as that I finished my training a little late today." I hate lieing to my farther however it wasn't a complete lie I did finish training late and I did help a poor creature but it was a snake not a bird and I couldn't see its parents.
"It's ok my little cub I was just worried. Now why don't you go wash up for supper your rather dirty." Farther said in his kind friendly voice "Of course farther" I said "I'll be down soon" and with that I excused myself and went to my room to wash up.
(Snake pov-this next bit will be through the snake she helped eyes)
As she ran home I watched her run farther away 'Selene what a beautiful name' I thought 'She was beautiful she seemed to be around my age but enough day dreams I must get back before the snakes start to worry'
Slithering through the forest I headed in the direction of my family mansion, I am the next chief of the Serpents Fang clan and my parents aren't only the clan leaders my farther is the chief of all snakes making me serpent royalty.
I slithered to the gate where I slid under the metal and slithered up to the door, I closed my ruby red eyes concentrating hard and an emerald green glow encircled my body. When it dimmed I was standing in my human form in front of the doors of the serpent mansion.
I reached out my hand encasing it around the gold handle which looked like a serpent curled up in a swirl shape. Twisting the handle I stepped inside the mansion closing the towering door behind me.
"Apep where were you I was beginning to worry," my mother said as she approached me hugging me in a deep embrace "Sorry mother" I said "Anemone don't hug him to tight you'll hug him to death," my farther interjected.
"Sorry, but he was off training all day. I missed him," she replied. My farther chuckled a little and despite her slight complaint she stepped back and stood beside my farther he was in a white top which was tucked into a pair of neat back trousers with perfectly shined black shoes.
My mother wore a long emerald dress which ended just below her feet, hiding her leafy green shoes. Her hazel brown hair which I inherited, was tied up into a high bun and she wore a jewled hair pin on the right side of her head.
"How was your day son?" my farther asked me with his goofy smile "It was great," I said and it had been a great day. I did great at training and I even met a beautiful girl all be it I was stuck under a rock and couldn't become human but still I met a magnificent girl.
"Oh my," my mother exclaimed "what on earth happened to your legs?" she had bent down to inspect them. 'I hadn't even realised they were there Whoops'. "Who did this to you son?" Farther asked a mix of anger towards the person and worry for me could both be heated in his voice.
"No one did this to me," I explained "I was coming home in my snake form when a rock trapped my tail I couldn't transform into my human form and couldn't free my tail"
"How did you get rid of the rock?" Farther asked curiously. "A girl around my age with hair as black as night and caring silver eyes freed me she lifted the rock and placed it behind her," I explained to them.
"Well that was a very kind thing to do," mother said with a sweet smile "come on we better get your legs cleaned up you only have a few scratches and bruises luckily. Your lucky that little girl helped and could lift that rock, it sounds like it was rather heavy and for such a young girl to move it by herself."
"Yes," Farther interjected "but at least your safe and no wolf hurt you." I never really understood why snakes and wolves bare such hate towards each other and from what I can tell it runs deeper then everyone says."Come on" mother said pulling on my arm as she held her hand in mine. I followed behind her obediently so that she can help me .
