Chereads / Just Another BadBoy Story / Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

Later that night, Laura didn't come back to our dorm and I was worried about where she was sleeping. Getting caught in someone else's dorm during the middle of the night can lead to serious consequences, and I don't want to be the reason why shes caught. I sigh and decide to get up and look for her, still being in my cupcake pyjama shorts and tank top.

Whaaaaat? It's a cute outfit to sleep in. Very comfy as well.

I walk down the dark and silent corridor, looking back over my shoulder occasionally. I silently make my way to her twin, Lewis's dorm. I knock quietly, but got no response. "Psst, Lewis! Its me." I whisper, looking left and right. I sigh when I got no response. Should've got my phone. I mentally scold myself. Letting out an irritated sigh, I turn to leave to check Malcolm and Kyle's dorm.

I only had to knock two times before the door flew open, catching me by surprise. "What are you doing here? You'll get caught." Kyle says, eyeing me up and down then gazing deeply into my eyes. His stare was so intense I almost forget how to talk.

I squirm in my spot feeling uncomfortable, regretting my decision in coming here wearing short sleeping pyjamas with a tank top. Shifting from foot to foot, I avoid eye contact as I speak. "I was uhh, wondering if Lau-" I stop halfway as I look to my right.

"Wha-" Kyle says confused but I cut him when i heard footsteps. Not wasting a second, I rush in, smashing myself into Kyle who lost balance due to not expecting my sudden action.

We both collapse onto the floor, the door somehow shutting behind us. I let out a gasp of surprise when my sensitive nose hits Kyle's rock hard iron chest.

"Well this is a surprise." Kyle says with a grin, his minty breath fanning my face. His hands slowly snake their way around my waist, leaving trails of tingles, our lips merely a centimetre away. My hands on his chest could literally feel his accelerated heart rate, mimicking my own. Was he nervous? Excited?

"I didn't think you'd fall this hard for me, Rose." Kyle's deep husky voice whispers, whilst his lips softly brush against mine, causing me to involuntarily shiver in pleasure.

"It was an accident." I grit out, trying to clear my head  and  stand up but the death grip he has on me, is preventing me from doing so. "Let go of me piece of gum stuck under a shoe!" I curse angrily, thrashing around in his hold.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." He says, referring to my thrashing and movement. I suddenly freeze in my spot and stare into his vivid green eyes which were captivating me and slowly luring me in. "I know you want me Rose. It's obvious. You're just playing hard to get."

I mentally curse myself and close my eyes tightly. No. Not again. I will not allow myself to fall for another guy like him. A badboy.

Please let go of me... I silently beg, hoping he'd hear me.

His grip suddenly loosens and his warm hand is placed on my cheek. "Look at me, Rose." He pleads softly. His hands still caressing my flushed cheek.

My thoughts wander back to my first ever love where I was fooled in the most humiliating way possible.

He was a guy just as charming and handsome as Kyle, as irresistible and loving with all his flirty bad boy ways. But, my fairytale love story was shattered when he announced to the whole school after three months of dating, that he 'got the principals daughter to date him and even better, fall in love with him', in which half the school population handed him thirty dollars each after making a bet. The whole scene was recorded and uploaded to every social media. Even the part where I took off sobbing uncontrollably.

I don't think I've ever cried so much in my life. I don't think I've ever felt pain as excruciating as that. It was like my whole heart shattering to millions of pieces whilst being stabbed by a blunt knife in the heart. It is the most horrible thing to do to someone, especially after he was sure that I fell in love with him, hard.

Gaining confidence, I open my eyes and smile at Kyle.  "Oh no babe, I'm not playing hard to get, I am hard to get." With that said I roll to the side off his body and stand up, dusting away invisible dust.

Being weak to someone like him, is basically stupid. He enjoys having the upper  hand between us, the advantage. But I will not allow it. Not again.

I turn around, softening my gaze on a fast asleep Malcolm who looks so peaceful lying there. If only he'd return the feelings.

"Bye loser." I say walking out.

Quickly rushing back to my dorm, I open the door and slowly close it to not make a sound. Turning around to walk to my bed, I let out a scream, smashing my hand to my mouth. I clutch my racing heart, panting out of breath.

There stood Laura stuffing her face with my secret stash of chocolates.

Did I mention how they were mine!?

She stood there frozen in her spot with her hand stuffed in her mouth, her eyes wide open. At the moment, taking in the scene, I fell to the floor laughing hysterically,  whilst clutching my stomach. "Oh my gosh Laura! You look like a baby reindeer caught in headlights!" I gasp out between fits of laughter, wiping the tears that were spilling out.

I walk over to her and grab her in for a hug. "I'm so sorry Laura,  I would never do that to you and you know it. He came onto me and obviously my mind wasn't functioning properly. It was like the past was repeating itself and i felt myself paralysed. But I said that I would never fall for a badboy again no matter how charming they are and I plan to keep that promise. Besides, you knew I liked Malcolm anyway." I say with guilt evident in my eyes.

She sighs. "I suppose you're right."

"I hope all my chocolate can make up for it." I say with innocent eyes.

She gulps down the chocolate and licks her fingers. "Hmmm...do I forgive you?" She says, inspecting her hands.

I whack her gently across the head. "You better, you uncooked potato!" I say jokingly as she rolls her eyes and shoves me to the floor.

"Go shove an onion down your eye socket!" She replies back, walking to her bed. And in that instant, I knew I had our friendship back. Call it a weird friendship but if we weren't insulting or bashing each other up, then there would definitely be something wrong. We're just comfortable like that, as friends.

"WAKE UP WE'RE LATE FOR P.E CLASS! COACH ANGER MANAGEMENT IS GOING TO KILL US!" Laura yells in my ear, scaring me which resulted in accidentally punching Laura on the cheek as an instinct of defense. She shrieks before slapping me.

"I'm up, I'm up!" I groan, getting up and rushing around the room, looking around frantically for my P.E uniform.

Can I just say, running to P.E class, this is the most running I've ever done in any P.E lesson all year! That's an achievement I never really wished to accomplish.

Whilst I was panting and out of breath, Laura was running ahead of me so calmly like running is a second nature to her! How is that possible!?

Witchcraft.....sorcery! I knew it!

"YOU SHOW OFF! I CANT BELIEVE YOU'RE RUNNING SO FAST AND LEAVING ME HERE ALL ALONE, SUFFERING! YOU BETTER BRING YOUR ASS BACK HERE MISSY OR I SWEAR-OUCH!" I groan when my speech was cut short after bumping into the old janitor. His equipment goes flying everywhere and I let out a squeal when I slip.

"I'm sorry!" I say awkwardly as I stand up.

The old janitor glares at me. "Watch where you're going or i'll have to sacrifice your eyes to my blind dog!" He says in his deep old man voice that had me shaking from head to toe. Nodding quickly, I scurry off before he kills me.

I always knew there was something creepy about janitors.

Finally making it to the gym, I place my hands on my knees as I struggle to calm my racing heart. Running should be illegal, It's causing physical and emotional pain!

"Good morning Rose, I see you've already warmed up, but for being late, run six laps around the gym. GO GO GO!" Coach yells at me as he glares like I killed his cat. Not fair! Just because Laura is the best runner doesn't mean he embarrasses me only!

Quit complaining you fatty! My conscious scolds so nicely.

I was exhausted on my third lap. I kept pushing myself because I knew the consequences to stopping would be an extra ten laps.

"You run like a girl, Andrews!" The coach called out, making me grit my teeth in anger.

"Yeah well , if you ran a little faster, you might run like one too!" I fire back sassily, laughing at the shocked expression of our coach.
