Calibri tilted his head as he stared at Xavier. "Watch Haochen?"
Xavier gave a firm nod.
"Did someone request that you do that?"
"Yes."
"Who?"
"I can't tell you that."
Calibri pursed his lips and fell into deep thought. Perhaps it wouldn't be too bad to watch Haochen. Afterall, Haochen had a strange heart condition going on. The odds didn't look to be in his favor if Calibri didn't do something about it.
He could die in an instant if he wasn't careful. If Xavier and he were both watching Haochen, Haochen had a greater chance of survival from whatever it was that was making his heartbeat so irregular.
On the other hand, it was suspicious that Xavier wanted to watch him. He barely even knew Haochen. Judging from Haochen's body language, he wasn't even all that comfortable with Xavier.
While Calibri had a valid reason, Xavier did not, and he refused to provide one.
"Are you trying to harm him?"
"No."
