Chapter 51 - 47

Haochen's POV:

I didn't know what to make of the strange turn of weather, but what I did know was that it happened at the exact moment Calibri closed his eyes to summon his familiar.

The sky morphed into an ugly expanse of grey hues, and suddenly I felt uncomfortable and suffocated. Swallowing, I looked towards Professor Shizun.

He was still watching Calibri, calmly, like he didn't find anything odd.

But I'd turned to him just a millisecond before everyone else, and I'm certain I saw his eyes glance upward momentarily, narrow, and then revert to their nonchalant state. I could feel the tension in the air and before long, heavy raindrops began to fall.

I looked back to Calibri, wondering if the weather had changed because of him summoning his familiar, or because of a well-timed coincidence. But to me at least, he looked completely unaware of what was going on around him. It must have been a coincidence.
