When Tyler and Olive had to go, I ran go the field and told Maya all about it. We're all twelve and they both go to HiddenVally Middle School. Olive had an older brother who just went to collage and Tyler's dad is in the army. I danced around in the field for a while as it started to rain and I listened to music. When it turned 8:30, I headed home.
"I want to go to school." I shouted at dad when I walked in the door. He was in the kitchen and walked over to me.
"Sounds great, why the change of heart?"
"I met two other kids while I was out who both go to HiddenVally so I wouldn't be alone there and I can get out of here."
"Okay, I can get you in there by this Monday I believe. it's Saturday so that should give you time to get prepared and for me to enroll you, sound good?"
"Actually, can it be either Tuesday or Wednesday? I don't want a full week right away."
"Of course." I walked up to my room and just laid on my bed for a while.
About fifteen minutes later, the phone rang and dad called me down stairs then handed me the phone.
"Hello?"
"Hey Liz it's Olive. When are you planning on starting school?"
"I'm not sure. Either this Tuesday or Wednesday."
"Perfect! I have to go take a shower. See you tomorrow?"
"Yeah, sure. Bye." I hung up and went to talk to dad. Something wasn't right though. He seemed upset. I walked back to my room without saying anything and went to bed. But I wasn't really sure about going to school.
