Blink...Blink
(This is my room. Ash is sleeping beside me. Let see. No injuries too. Seems like that was just a dream. hmm? Message? "status" My level increased. I got a new skill. Leon's necromancy. Looks like the fight with Lich really happened. But who healed me. Mon doesn't know healing magic.)
Knock! Knock!
"Come in"
Mom came in. She looked really tired. There were dark circles around her eyes. When she saw me awake, her face lightened up.
"Zack you are awake."
"Who healed me?"
"Sherry's mom"(so she was a healer)
"How long was I out for?"
"3 days"
"3 days?!"
"Just lie down quietly we will talk later." Her piercing gaze was nerve-racking.
By the next day, I had fully recovered. After breakfast, we sat in the living hall. The air was heavy.
"Zack, why did you go there without telling us" I saw dad angry for the first time. This time I could not make any excuse.
"Sorry" I felt ashamed.
"Is sorry enough? What would have happened if you would have lost your life."
"..." I was scared and guilty. My eyes were watery.
"That's enough, dear. Cooldown a little." Mom cooled my dad down.
"Zack, we know that on the inside you are an adult so we decided that you can take care of yourself... but Zack think a little about us when you do something so risky. What would we do if something had happened to you? You are the only son after all. We love you that why we are saying this. Promise us that you will listen to us and keep away from danger"
"I promise..."
"What is with the gloomy atmosphere. Let's go to the village and get the supplies."
Dad said that for my punishment I would have to listen to one thing he tells me whatever it would be .
I promised him.
The next 3 months quietly passed by. The guns were ready. The different mode feature was also added. The final guns were made with the mithril from which we got by smelting the equipment that was kept in the underground room. Leh decided to call them The Fallen Dragons. I just had to say the mode name and the guns would change into them. The parts were changed using my space magic. I had decided that by next year I would defeat dad and start my journey. We had agreed that I could journey until I was 16. When I would reach 16 I would have to attend school for higher education for the next 3 years. The main reason for it was so I could learn the norms of the world. In this world, a person would become an adult at the age of 16 and then only a guild card can be issued to them. Dad had told me that I don't have to worry about the card I just have to defeat him.
One day when I was practicing magic outside my house, I saw Sherry parents and my parents rushing to the jungle.
"Dad, where are you going," I shouted at the top of my voice as they were quite far already.
"Zack, you also come. Quick." He seemed panicked. The others were also anxious.
On the way, dad told me that Sherry had been going deep in the jungle alone lately and they received a message that she is in danger. Just like the locket which I had Sherry too had a bracelet. When our lives were in danger the bracelet which the parents had on them would shine. When we reached there we could see a pack of grey wolves. They were feasting. We killed the wolves but we were too late. Sherry was dead with her body half-eaten. Her stomach was all eaten. It had not been long before she had died.
Sherry's parents could not bear the shock. We too were shocked. They begged us to save her but it was simply impossible. My parents didn't speak a word. They couldn't. Although Sherry had done me wrong this isn't what I had wanted.
(Maybe I should have forgiven her. If we would have made up I would have accompanied her and this wouldn't have happened. No, I can't lose hope, her soul had not dissipated. I might be able to save her.)
"Maybe I can save her"
