The duel might have been a tie but it was decided that I would be allowed to go. The next few days were spent in preparing for the journey. New equipment was made by Leh and co. Other than the equipment, they also prepared a set of clothes. They looked simple at one look but were not. They were made by the dragon's skin and pulverized mithril mixed in it. (Grinding mithril was one hell of a job.)
There was a white full T-shirt, a black hooded shrug, Black lower with enhanced flexibility, and red sneaker. The look might have been that of sneakers but it wasn't that simple. It had magic circles on its sole. It could increase the speed by 10%. The shrug could expand when mana was poured into it and could act like a shield or a cloak. Their defense was higher than that of normal equipment. Even a level-6 fire spell could not burn the clothes. Being made by a master blacksmith increased its value even further.
After experiencing such bad food in the dungeon, I learned cooking from mom. It could not be said that I became an expert but it was self-sufficient.
When the gun project was over, a new project had started. It was to recreate a phone. It was my mom's idea so she could contact me whenever she wanted. Although I could 𝙶𝚊𝚝𝚎 to come home anytime, mom insisted on making a communication device so it couldn't be helped.
(No one can stand against mom after all)
Unfortunately, it was easier said than done. Unlike my world, this world had no concept of electricity. There were no network towers and satellites as well.
On the contrary, it was confirmed that a simple communication device might be possible. I taught the dwarfs about physics and tried to correlate mana with wavelength and frequency.
A great idea was presented by Leh. He said that the devices can be connected through a different space made by my space magic in that way there would be no magic interference. We tried out the idea and it was successful. Unfortunately, It had a serious flaw. Only I could use space magic so unless I had connected the device with my magic the devices won't be work. But it was quickly resolved. A magic stone charged with my magic would be placed in the devices. Although my magic would diminish in about a month or two and had to be charged again.
After many trials and errors, the device was perfected. Its size was a little bigger than a match stick box and was black. It had 3 buttons, 1 on either side and one at the top. There was also a blue circle in the center. The green button on the left side was used to connect the call while the red button on the right was to disconnect the call. The button on the top was to show the video through the blue circle like a hologram. It basically worked like a video calling app. It had a battery life of 3 months and if the distance between the devices were more, it would take more of the battery. The samples were given to my and Sherry's family.
Aside from that, all the people involved were told(threatened) not to tell anyone about these creations. It could even lead to a war at worst or so I was told.
Another few days went by waiting for my guild card to arrive. The guild card arrived with a letter for me.
The guild card looked like a normal credit card. As far as I remember I had decided to use a pseudonym(fake name) for the guild card. So my name was Black. My age was entered as 16. The swordsman was printed as my job despite my being able to use high-level magic too. The magic swordsman was another option but I had turned it down saying that it would attract too much attention. Mage was yet another option but I preferred using sword over magic, so I chose swordsman. Although that would result in me getting fewer quests I was fine as long as I can freely search clue about my actual job. The rank was specified as F.
The Envelop had the Guild master's seal on it. I opened the envelope and it said:

Summer was just around the corner and I was ready to start my journey. The merchant, Michael-san had arrived at my doorstep with his carriage. There was only the carriage driver other than himself. The carriage was small. Michael's good only amounted to a few boxes but it covered more than half of the Carriage. There was hardly any space for another person to be seated. The road to Clara was safe that's why Michael-san had agreed to let me take on the quest.
He was served tea while I rechecked my equipment and other stuff. By the time I came down Sherry's parents were also there. But Sherry didn't come. Dad asked them why but they didn't know as well.
Everyone came out to send me off. I was a little sad that Sherry didn't come. I was about to leave when Sherry came running. She was carrying huge luggage.
"What are these bags?" Sherry's mom asked her.
"These bags! They are my luggage. I am going on a long journey after all"
"journey?"
"I will be accompanying Zack-sama," She said.
"What?!" Everyone was bewildered.
