"The emperor usually uses the seal script for many precious documents, the clerical scrip, while for all families below the imperial family used the common script this will be the form you must perfect first and change to your own personal style. Remember, your style must be unique enough for those who wish to mimic your writing,"
'yes ma'am,"
I replied, watching the strokes provided with wonder, how I had taught myself to write using the normal fountain pens I had stolen with many sheets of paper and books where I continually first traced before scribbling until I wrote my first character.
"Each stroke must show your character as you write,"
I nodded and attempted to make my first stroke; failing, trying several times, and a few hours later I had succeeded.
"Congratulations, make sure to learn the virtues and repeat both the list and basic understanding tomorrow. Miss Gravatrix, I bid you farewell,"
"Goodbye teacher Nadi,"
After exchanging polite goodbyes followed by a half now in respect to this teacher, I nodded to Hua who then led her out while I left the room in search of my little human, Tau. From the sunroom which had been turned into a room for practising, I walked towards the path following the light scent that was the Tau I knew finding the little human would be quite easy after a few steps I turned the corner ready to rush and hug him close.
"Are you a student who lacks the will to learn Gravatrix?"
The first young master sat holding Tau.
I froze, how could this first young master be here?
His gaze had the look of an emotionless human male filled with unveiled disgust, as if I had dirtied his entire presence.
Thinking it best to be silent, I just stood there.
He stood suddenly towering over me.
"Mother has asked that you follow me to the main house to be measured,"
he said in a cold tone, his eyes flitting over my form like so he began walking, still holding my Tau, annoyed I glared at his back.
In the time it took to reach the desired destination, I somehow felt that I was losing my little Tau, and that feeling was not a pleasant one.
This path we walked was slightly different from the one we had taken during dinner meal night before.
This entry to the main house was the same, but we walked past the dining area's outskirts, passing through a small valley of trees with a large body of water that I could not help but to pause and admire the structure.
"Second brother had this lake constructed using elemental water users. Over there to the far right you can see the fake waterfall constructed by the earth elemental wielders. All of this was done for mother's date of birth three years ago,"
"Those "elemental wielders" were not mentioned in the lessons today,"
"I will not mention them. Their ranks are classed separately from us and are considered immortal class,"
Immortal classed humans?
The question had me puzzled I wished to ask more but Hyemi this first young master had already began walking once more already as if in a single blink slightly further ahead, throwing the sentence out as he did... this human male!
I felt my anger rising, followed by the urge to bite him to death, truly bite! walking at a leisurely pace, I thought of several ways I can but him to death.
His jugular would cause him to bleed out, while simply ripping him limb from limb might be even more satisfying. His next words forced me to pick up my pace immediately.
"Come, we must continue before mother becomes impatient,"
"Yes," I replied, dazed.
Still pondering on the human elementals, they seemed so similar to them...
"First young master, miss Gravatrix please proceed to the sunroom the first mistress has already prepared everything needed."
A maid said with a slight smile hyemi continued on without stopping still holding my tau, I gritted my teeth feeling my incisors slowly extend from the underlining anger I felt.
"Hyemi, give me my little Tau, why do you have to hold him so long? Hey, you Tau: why is it that you are so comfortable in his arms? Is it because he is blood related? Am I not closer still?" I spoke in my head dejectedly, feeling extremely annoyed with each step foregoing even the opportunity to admire the exquisite interior of the main house.
"Gravatrix, you have arrived."
Startled I looked up seeing the madam who had her hair styled in a voluminous bun shaping to her oval face enhancing her elegant demure. The bun itself had a simple hairpin with sky blue pearls matching her Cape dress that with a loose-fitting Cape dress which fell just below her calves, showing off her shapely legs that were encased in thick wedge heels. Can she walk in those, I shook my head at the foolish question because she obviously did since before I could fully enter the door the first madam already had my pecan coloured small hand in her own dragging me further into the room.
"Gravatrix, this woman will be your seamstress from today onwards. From your school uniform to your everyday wear will be made by her. Just explain your styles-"
