Hyemi
First family's firstborn young master
A month had passed,
sitting among large custom handmade floor cushions, Hyemi watched his fiancè who at present prepared the tea, Kitoko with her long hair styled in a flower bun styled with a part at the middle leaving the back flowing down her back to her waist.
Hyemi admitted that this fiancee of his Kitoko was an almost peerless beauty. Her heart-shaped face, phoenix eyes that were extremely dark like pitch black midnight pools of darkness with to was slightly wide giving her an innocent look, this also paired with a small nose and lips completed a face he found himself admiring whenever she was in his presence.
At the age of nineteen, she had already completed her coming of age ceremony a year ago at the age of eighteen.
(author note: some readers will have other opinions pertaining to the coming of age ceremony. But here it will be 18 since the average but not limited to, the life span of humans lived for over 300 years this excludes all external factors.)
With a tender jade hand, family name Hok first named Kitoko used the tea leaf holder to scoop the loose leaf tea leaves into the teapot, the water used was specially retrieved from the origin spring located directly opposite an active volcano.
"Young master Pingui, while the tea sits a bit would you like for me to sing a bit for you?"
Hyemi heard Kitoko suddenly said while walking in his direction, each step small and sure all of this from being taught from almost her birth.
For a man, he admired beautiful things, but this did not necessarily mean that he wished to touch them.
Dark eyes narrowing he did not reply but continued reading the booklet he held in his hand, a form of poems and minor notes that little girl had written out.
Her handwriting was extremely pretty, each stroke of the brush showing confidence dancing evenly in order.
"I am reading, I have no desire to hear songs for the background music of the water flowing and the breeze passing among the leaves on the trees is good enough,"
he said in his usual cold tone not even bothered to look upon her almost peerless form as he spoke.
As if the booklet he held in his hand like a treasure was of more value than the woman he will soon marry.
Even her softly spoken words which usually sounded almost musical to his ears seemed today like a grating tone, still, even though all of this was thought in his mind Hyuemi had no desire for it to be displayed upon his handsome face for like the firstborn son of the Pingui family it was beneath his station.
after all the booklet he read was much more important after all the girl who had written this had personally delivered this to him to proofread.
"Forgive me first young master Pingui, for my insolence!"
"Mmm, that type of tea needs not to be steeped long. It can not be poured any longer and it will become too strong,"
In the end, though Hyemi still decided to educate her by guiding her how he desired his tea steeped today.
"I understand first young Master Pingui,"
Watching her go his gaze fell on her straight back before returning to the notes no longer interested in watching her brew the tea.
when the tea had been finished brewed Hyemi had thought that the usually enjoyable tea tasted quite subpar and therefore had no desire to finish it.
Ordering a servant to take it away, Hyemi had finished the booklet a few days later while having tea with his younger siblings a servant arrived.
"Young master the third miss of the Hok family has sent you a handwritten booklet,"
Hyemi nodded, annoyance rising has this female-
why would she send a booklet?
This time Hyemi could not hide his distaste and so a slight sneer graced his perfectly sculptured features, while the little maid stepped forward note in hand.
"Place it aside,"
"First young master..."
Hesitantly the maid spoke, he knew what was on her mind. His fiancee for the past week had shown a side that he could not truly accept.
He wanted a Virtuous Wife, not a vindictive shrew!
He had been busy with both studies and work, after all one must be aware that studying requires thirty years for a male to complete, and that was a mere basic level. Normally, he would have had to enter the school for twenty years; from the age of four but he had a privilege only to the legitimate line of his family, those who were born from mistresses had been excluded, thankfully his father had been a faithful male and smart enough not to bring the wrath of his mother.
This girl that he was set to marry soon though... Tch.
Irritated, Hyemi had thought that as he grew older his emotions would become much more stable similar to his younger brother but-
