Chapter 14 - You're Finally Awake, Damn Sleepyhead~

Six people have fallen. All of them lay on the top floor of the old building. The one standing in their midst was Aldy.

Rizaldy Pradipta, with bruises all over his body, a disheveled uniform, and even the bloodstains of his enemies stuck to his fists.

Although Aldy's body was covered with wounds, he stood straight, and his eyes were still sharp.

There are five people left.

Three of them were thugs hired by SMK Sentosa, while the remaining two were respectively the head of the SMK Sentosa gang and the leader of the '42' National Highschool gang.

The toughest opponents are always faced at the last moment. Very cliché.

Aldy stepped on his feet, intending to continue the battle. But the unexpected happened.

Stabbb!~ ...

A penknife landed on Aldy's stomach, making fresh blood flow out of it. Ally turned. The last person he knocked down had still not fainted. Aldy pulled out the penknife, ignoring the pain he was in, and crouched down to match his position with the person who was still lying on the floor.

With one hand, he grabbed the hair of the person who stabbed him secretly from behind. One free hand gripped the knife with the blade facing down.

His gaze fell on the neck of the person who stabbed him just now. And when Aldy was about to stick the knife in that man's neck, the image of Heri and Maureen crossed his mind.

Ally shook her head. "No. I can't kill anyone again. That type of life ... No."

After muttering to himself, Aldy let go of the knife, threw it far away, and chose to slam the man's face into the floor as hard as he could.

Now that person is completely unconscious. Aldy stood up again. The expression on his face really could not hide the pain he felt. It made the faces of his enemies who had hesitated to continue this battle more confident.

Even though Aldy really resembled a fierce monster when he was fighting, they again realized that Aldy was still a human. And with such conditions, of course, he would be really in trouble.

One against five.

And Aldy was injured badly.

Aldy's phone vibrated. At a glance, Aldy could see his father's name, Heri, on the screen. He didn't think about picking up the call, considering he was still in the middle of a battle. You could say, the battle he was doing had now reached its peak.

But after the call ended, Heri sent a short message. Aldy only saw the message as a notification. And the first sentence that appears is;

Father: Son, where are you? Please, come to the hospital now. Maureen is-- ...

Only to that extent.

A piece of short message that he has not read until the end.

Aldy put his phone back into his pants pocket. He looked back at the remaining five people and returned a smile to them.

In his heart, he wanted to finish this tiresome battle as quickly as possible. Because he wanted to know about Maureen, the sister he loved so much as soon as possible.

The five people were still preparing to attack Aldy simultaneously. However, as Aldy usually did, he was the one who pounced on his opponent first.

And the battle that was too brutal happened again.

***

Drrrt~ ... Drrrt~ ... Drrrt~ ...

With a body condition that was injured so bad, Aldy stood in the middle of eleven unconscious people with worse conditions than Aldy.

Yes, Aldy managed to win that battle.

Even though he had some pretty serious injuries, he hadn't felt this pain in a long time since he fought with dozens of prison inmates and several prison officers at the same time.

It was the second time Aldy has felt this kind of pain.

Aldy also picked up a call from Heri.

"Aldy, where are you?"

"I'm in a building near the school."

"Why didn't you answer my calls? Are you fighting again?" asked Heri, with a slightly surprised tone because it had been a long time since Heri had heard Aldy fight.

"That's how it is. My school gang lost. So, like it or not, I have to take care of it myself."

"But, what about you? Are you okay?" Even though Heri is not a biological child, Heri already considers Aldy as his own biological child. So, it was natural that he was worried about Aldy because it had been a long time since Aldy had reported that he was involved in dangerous things such as the brawl.

"I'm fine. So why did you call me?"

"Your sister."

"Maureen?" asked Aldy curiously. "What happened to her?"

"She's awake. Now she's looking for the person who's been with her all this time. She's looking for you."

A smile spread from Aldy's lips. Yep, a rare smile painted on the face of Rizaldy Pradipta, a final year student of Caius Ballad High School who is the Caius Ballad Untouchable-Men, the leader of a violent school gang among other private schools.

Aldy looked up to the sky after disconnecting the phone with Heri.

"Reen, I think you'll be able to see what I see from now on."

Aldy was just about to leave the unfinished building which was filled with unconscious people after the brutal fight. But cold sweat dripped from his body. It seemed he had lost too much blood.

His head felt very dizzy. His vision grew more and more blurry, and he didn't have the strength to stand up.

Someone suddenly appeared in the corner of his vision.

"Aldy!" he shouted as he ran towards Aldy.

He was Zico, the first-grader. The leader of one of the three biggest gangs at Caius Ballad High School is now his friend, as well as third-grader Edwin.

Unknowingly the four of them have now become friends. Aldy, Marsel, Edwin, and also Zico.

Zico, who initially couldn't help fighting due to family matters, was somehow where Aldy was now.

Aldy fell to his knees. Zico was already squatting and holding Aldy's body.

"Chough!~ ... " Aldy coughed while spitting out fresh blood. "Didn't you say that you had to go home early because of family matters? Chough!~ ..."

"I came because Marsel called me. He said that you might act stupid and try to fight everyone alone. I've been looking for you everywhere."

Ally smiled. "Haha ... you bastard."

Aldy collapsed unconscious.

Slowly, Aldy opened his eyes. He found himself in an ambulance. Aldy glanced at the medical officer's clothes, and on the upper left sleeve of the uniform sitting next to Zico was the logo of the hospital where he worked.

Aldy realized that it was the hospital where Maureen was.

The ambulance they were traveling in stopped. The back door opened from the outside, and there was already another medical officer who was ready to receive Aldy to be immediately taken to the emergency room.

Aldy got up and released the IV that was embedded in his hand.

"Hey, where are you going?"

Aldy pushed away Zico's hand that was trying to hold him back. He kept walking down the hall. With a body covered in wounds and a rough bandage soaked with blood like that, Aldy must have been the center of attention of everyone in the hospital.

Several hospital staff tried to stop Aldy, but they were stopped by Zico. "Just let him be. Trust me. Soon he will probably fall on his own."

Aldy continued to walk, trying to ignore all the pain that was felt throughout his body. Especially the stomach that had been stabbed by a knife.

Until he came to a room where Heri and Maureen are.

Without further ado, Aldy opened the door.

Clack~ ...

Heri and Maureen turned their heads. Heri stood beside Maureen while Maureen sat leaning on the head of her bed. They were all silent. So does Aldy.

Aldy's eyes fell on Maureen. The girl who had been lying in a coma for the past year, now they could look at each other.

With the rest of his strength, Aldy smiled a very sincere sweet smile from the entrance towards Maureen. "You're finally awake, damn sleepyhead."

Brukkkk!~ ...

And at that moment, Aldy fell unconscious on the floor. The medics who had been following Aldy's steps brought Aldy to the emergency room. Zico smiled and nodded politely briefly at Heri. After that, Zico followed the medics, who brought Aldy to the front door of the emergency room.

"Dad, that voice. That person--"

"You're right. He is your brother. Aldy." cut Heri quickly. Heri rubbed Maureen's head gently. "Would you mind if I left it for a while? I guess I'll have to see how your sister is doing."

Maureen nodded in agreement, making Heri smile. After kissing Maureen's forehead, Heri walked away, leaving Maureen alone in her room.

Maureen was still silent. As long as she lay in a coma, only Aldy's voice she heard almost all the time. Aldy always accompanied her and talked to her even though Maureen couldn't reply. The voice that always accompanied Maureen in solitude.

A voice that can calm her heart just by hearing it.

A voice that warmed her heart.

And Maureen didn't expect that such a soft, loving-sounding voice to come from someone with a sinister appearance, with bloodstains all over her disheveled high school uniform.

Maureen shook her head slowly. "Looks like daddy adopted a thug."

Before she lay in a coma, Maureen was the girl who disliked bad students the most. Even though she has an overly spoiled attitude, but at school, Maureen stays away from students like Aldy.

And now, she has an older brother who is the kind of student she always tries to stay away from.

But after a while, Maureen smiled instead.

For some reason, behind Aldy's pretty scary and intimidating look, the eyes and also the sweet smile that Aldy gave her before he fell and was taken to the emergency room, these two things warmed Maureen's heart just thinking about it.

The gaze and smile given by Aldy were sincere.

From the way he looked at Maureen, anyone could see it. Even Maureen could see that, that Aldy really loved Maureen.

"But why?" Maureen asked in her own mumbling. "Even though we've never even met before. Never even talk. How can that person love me? It doesn't make sense. But why do I feel comfortable? No. Maybe it's just because he's handsome. Is it possible that--"

"Who are you talking to?" asked a doctor who had just entered Maureen's room with a nurse behind her.

Maureen turned to the doctor. "I'm just talking to myself."

"How are you? Do you feel dizzy, nauseous, or something?"

Maureen smiled as she shook her head in response to the doctor's question.

"Okay then. Let me check on you for a bit."

Maureen remained busy with her own thoughts. She was busy thinking about the meaning of the gaze and smile that Aldy gave her earlier.
